God is merciful. These were Yosef's last words to Yeshua, and he has spent ten years meditating on them. Now, alone in the wilderness, hungry and cold and exhausted from his ordeal, Yeshua needs God's mercy more than ever...but mercy comes at a price.
This was very short, more of a chapter or short story, and yet, as with Maynard's other books in the Immanu'el series, she brings to life what it might have been like for Jesus and the people who knew Him. This was particularly interesting because it made me think more about what Jesus' time in the desert and temptation meant for Him. I would have loved to have this as a longer, more developed story, with more background and continuation of what was here. But what was here was excellent. I look forward to reading more of her writing.
I thought this was a powerful read, though short, it enabled me to envision what Yeshua went through out in the desert after fasting for 40 days, and then to be tempted by Satan.
