While I enjoyed very much the parts of this book that read about long ago memories I was less than thrilled about the poetry on the pages. Half of the book is written in verse with just snippets of memories. The Wysocki art on the pages is beautiful though; he certainly has a talent for yesteryear!

I mainly picked this up (from a thrift shop in excellent condition) for the wonderful art by Charles Wysocki. It is also a nice short read.

Excellent storybook for kids and adults both. Pictures/paintings are gorgeous color.
