While I LOVE the background stuff [how are they getting tracked? Is the answer given the FINAL answer:)]and most of the mate interaction, I am beginning to think this is the author's first foray into male pregnancy. I don't remember any of her other books covering this.

A lot it skipped over again. Ollie's pregnancy is the the same as Matty's. He's a lot smaller (a cause for concern). In this one we totally skip over the birth completely. As a matter of fact, the last chapter should have been an Epilogue. It jumps ahead and get some updates on the gang, and comes across as almost like closing up the series already. But need to find out about new character introduction Blay and his mate...and what's up with Ollie's brother.

The happy review...

I read Heir Of The Wolf That Bit You just two days ago after I saw that ~♥ Elle ♥~ gave it a 4 stars. Although I was not happy with the title of the first installment itself, it still did not detract me from actually liking the book. It was fun and easy to read, something that can make me relax and it left a great smile on my face. When I saw that Ollie's Haven was going to be released, I was quite happy with the title and that it was about Ollie and Griffin.

This is a story about omega werewolves with a good dash of male pregnancy added into the mix. Some would actually say "Not Again!Isn't this topic exhausted enough?"

Well, Ollie's Haven is about that and more and I must say that it lived up to its promise. It brought Ollie and Griffin together and it also brought in the minor characters who would all have their own books in this series.

Stormy Glenn knows how to make great entertainment for her readers and fans. She is a prolific writer with an unstoppable imagination whose pen (or word processor) cannot seem to keep up with. Best of all, she does not skimp on her writing technique. Neither does she skimp on her plot and character developments. So those readers who come in the middle of the series would not have to holer for a back story, although reading the series as they are written are the best way to enjoy them.

Ollie's Haven is a great relaxation read. It is a fantasy story that leaves readers smiling at the end of the book and anticipating on who or what is going to come up next.

WARNING: Male pregnancy is a theme of this series.

I liked the first book better. Not a lot of action here compared to the first book. I felt that their journey and settlement to the new haven was the focus of the story and the romance between Ollie and Griffin took a backseat. The relationship between the MC's lacked emotional highlights so it felt lukewarm to me. Then, we get to the ending. It sort of just tapered off into a summary of what happened while they settled into their new home and of course, the requisite sex scene between the MC's. I thought this had a lot of potential but it didn't live up to it.

3.5 Stars. I like the series but I am not happy that the sex/mpreg has happened prior to the start of each book. I feel like I am missing out.

The second volume of this interesting new series continues the story of the band of persecuted omegas and their mates as they flee from the Loup Garou Senate sentries hunting them. This is the story of Griffin, one of those sentries, who is trying to redeem himself, and Ollie, his mate who carries a big secret.

Griffin may have been a Senate Sentry once, but he stopped being one the second he laid eyes on his mate, Ollie. Of course, only Griffin knows this at first, and everyone else still mistrusts him. Some of them, like Ollie's brother Stefan, make it a point to make Griffin feel unwelcome. I really felt for Griffin, especially when the truth about his being a Sentry emerges. Nobody is willing to give him the benefit of the doubt – for a very long time.

Ollie has been abused and told what to do all his life, he has about had it with anyone even suspected to being close to the Senate. As for one of their Sentries? Never! Except, he does feel drawn to Griffin, and he also sort of gets that the man wants to change his life. And with big a heart as Ollie has it doesn’t take too long for him to be less mistrustful. Real trust though? That will take a little more time.

Luckily, these two guys really were meant for each other and they manage to figure that out and deal with it. Once they do, the passion between them explodes, and finding the refuge and a place just for them becomes imperative. They need alone time! With just the right mix between action, passion, and a few more revelations about this series' omega world, I found it to be an entertaining read.

If you like stories about werewolves who need to learn trust and love make life so much better, if you enjoy books with male pregnancy and hardened warriors becoming doting fathers, and if you want to know how Matty and Rico from the first book are doing, you will probably like this book.

Gotta say that for this series it seems that it skips over the best parts.
In this story I relies that as a former sentry the others of the group might have a hard time trusting Griffin but they go a bit too far, to leave him on the side of the road after he stopped sentries finding them.

Ollie and Griffin were first introduced in book one of the Wolf Haven series by Stormy Glenn, and you could see from that book that there was going to be a lot of angst against Griffin from both his mate and the rest of the group, so I was really looking forward to reading their story. This book did not disappoint, and I would recommend the series to any reader who adores a love story with a load of angst against one of the main characters.

It amazed me how despite what everyone felt about him, Griffin was so loyal to everyone and would do anything to protect his mate, even though he wasn't wanted. Then we had Ollie, who didn't know what to make of his feelings for Griffin because despite everything, and although he wanted him, he could not trust him.

I really felt for Griffin and could not believe how Ollie or the group acted towards him, not wanting to have anything to do with him or actually talk to him. It was sad how no one of the group trusted him and seemed to forget how you acted with a mate and that Griffin would not betray them at any cost, no matter who he used to be. Then how my heart actually broke when they all let Griffin walk away as if he didn't mean anything to them, even after the way he saved them time and again.

The elation Griffin felt when Ollie finally accepted him made me shout with glee. It was such a happy time after all the sadness that had followed Griffin since he had met Ollie. Then the scene when the group, especially Ollie, finally knew that Griffin wouldn't betray them had me shouting, about bloody time.

A lovely story that brings two very different people together, one from the Senate who is trained to destroy all omega wolves and the other being the omega, with a great story line, a great ending and even greater sex, what more could anyone want? Oh, maybe the great twist at the end that no one, including me, expected.

Notes:

If they don't trust Griffin, why are they still going to his property?

Why would he put stuff in Ollie's name if he had originally put it in a false name to hide it? It would just alert people to where they were.

Babies sleep great in cars. Some people use cars to get babies to sleep.

If Ollie's in good shape, he's not going to hurt the baby by running a mile as long as it's not a headlong rush and even then I'd be surprised.

I want to know if Griffin was gay before he met Ollie.

Why didn't anyone help Griffin fight? The parents could escape with the babies and the others could fight.

How does a math teacher have the kind of money he has when he didn't even start saving right away and it's only been a few years?

I don't understand this warehouse at all. Hydraulic lift? What? Why didn't he have to use it?

Open a window on a plane?

He said Idaho, then later said island; now it's the Canadian Rockies?

Really big plane if it has a large cargo area. Also, there are a lot more than three passengers. I count 6-7 not counting the baby.

Why didn't the men try to get out of the cavern?

Cool that it's a girl. The reason he didn't get big because she was a girl? Because that has absolutely no bearing.

Action and danger excellent early on and even some peril. But the danger at the end was totally contrived and kind of confusing.

I hate that the omegas don't bite back. I also think the potential with the magic of hasn't been explored at all.

I feel like I missed a lot in the beginning, especially the "woods" scene. I would have liked to have been there when Ollie and Griffin confront each other.

I get Ollie's resistance, but I guess I wanted more of a reason. Maybe explain it more. Get more of a backstory. I don't know. I just needed something from him besides being a dick to Griffin.

Griffin busts his ass to take care of his mate, Ollie, and Ollie ignores him. He finally has enough and walks away.

Ollie let him. Hell. Everyone lets him. My heart hurt for Griffin :( He's finding them a safe haven and is practically getting spit on every step of the way.

When Ollie finally acknowledges Griffin though, is it too late?

Oh and what's Stefan's problem??? Ass.

I think I am going to stop here for the moment until more are written. I know if I dig into Bray's story I will only want to continue and I won't be able to.

Ms. Glenn is setting up a brave new world and I was honored to be a part of it. This is the second book in the series (I have not read the first yet, but I have requested it because I want to know how it all began). I can’t wait to find out how the members of Haven form their own pack. Whether the adage of safety in numbers is true, or if they’ll be betrayed from within by one of their own. It’s an exciting start so far, and I’m going to be following along.

Still wondering if Rico gave the 15k credit card back. He gave Oliver the duffle but, no mention of the card. Another question would be why was Stephan taken in with so much trust? I mean his father was grooming him to take his place in the senate. With his animosity how come he was not scanned for devices like the others? Actually how was he able to find Griffin in the middle of mid America at a gas station? Too many questions left unanswered.

Just as good as the first. Actually in some ways better. As far as clarification of certian plot points that werent clear in book one. Stormy added quite a few new characters in this installment so it seems this series will continue for awhile. I saw on her website that one of the new additions that had a very small role in here is getting his own book which is almost done being written it seems :-):-)

Yes I knew the premise but who cared!!!
I was on board and from the moment Oliver entered book one I said, okay, we're gonna get his story.
Griffin wormed his way into my heart. Love him. Man enough to own his wrongfulness and man enough to want to protect his mate.
But Ms. Glenn, you are killing me with the kids names. And may I say, you caught me off guard with the second one. (Lips zipped, read the book to see what I mean).

I did not enjoy this book as much as I did the first one in the series. Granted, I did like having another pregnant man because that's just fun, but there were way too many similarities in this story to Heir of the Wolf that Bit You. If the whole series is going to be so similar and predictable then I will be highly disappointed.

A little better as the first one. Griffin is definitly an alpha and a keeper. And i like it how he gives everting to Ollie and wasn't keeping a single thing for himself. The distrust of the group made me a little angry. You can't travel with a guy three weeks without to build a little trust. Anyway: it's a good book with my favorite genre. So i love it a lot!

This was such an upgrade from the first book. I adored both characters. It had a good story and side characters. Griffin had all the things I love about an alpha wolf, possessive and protective. I may read this again soon.

So far this series has not packed the normal punch a Stormy book usually offers.

While I love the concept, it feels rushed and lacks strong emotional scenes.

Griffin was sent to capture Rico and his group. Lucky for them, Ollie was there and he just happened to be Griffin's mate. Griffin decides his mate is more important than his mission.
