For a year, Blake has been working toward making love with his Master, Archer. You name it they’ve done it, except for that one act. Tonight, the waiting is over. Blake is naked, prepared, and waiting for his Master to take him.
When his Master arrives and finds Blake might have gone too far in preparing himself, though, a punishment of six plugs is given before Blake can have what he so desperately wants.
Will the night end the way he’s been dreaming and bring Blake and Archer closer together, or will one thing not lead to another?
Often referred to as "Space Cowboy" and "Gangsta of Love" while still striving for the moniker of "Maurice," Sean Michael spends his days surfing, smutting, organizing his immense gourd collection and fantasizing about one day retiring on a small secluded island peopled entirely by horseshoe crabs. While collecting vast amounts of vintage gay pulp novels and mood rings, Sean whiles away the hours between dropping the f-bomb and persuing the kama sutra by channeling the long lost spirit of John Wayne and singing along with the soundtrack to "Chicago."
A long-time writer of complicated haiku, currently Sean is attempting to learn the advanced arts of plate spinning and soap carving sex toys.
Barring any of that? He'll stick with writing his stories, thanks, and rubbing pretty bodies together to see if they spark.
Blake is bursting with anticipation for his Master, after a year of waiting, today was the day when he was going to seal the deal so to speak! Only that would be too easy… and we have a whole novella to fill with tantalising teasing of the BDSM kind!
Blake has been with his Master Archer for a year now training to be the perfect sub, and in the eyes Archer he is, only yet again Blake is being punished for doing something wrong and he can only see it as failing his Master which compounds his frustration and threatens the scene. Archer becomes concerned as to why Blake would think himself any less than perfect and blames his own inadequacies as a Master for not praising enough and using a scene as punishment when it should really be called a side trip where they can prolong the anticipation of the final act... and Oh boy, those six plugs are one slow agonising, frustratingly erotic BDSM long tease!
This is what it is… a PWP. But we do also see the loving side of a D/s relationship as it is based on trust and their love for each other is undeniable. I enjoyed my little kink fix!
It's a looooong, highly sexual BDSM scene actually... And I don't care it's mostly a PWP. And I don't care it's dirty and kinky as f*ck! In this scope, Sean Michael never disappoints. Never!
I'm really not sure why I am so eager to read anything by Sean Michael, but alas, I cannot seem to resist. This one seemed promising, but I was, once again, a bit disappointed with the same old, same old.
Blake and Archer have been together for over a year. They are lovers, friends, sub and dom. But, apparently, Archer has never actually penetrated Blake in all this time. I loved that they seemed to have a nice long buld up to their relationship before it went to the next level. Come to think of it, I actually really liked the storyline here. Archer does drag it out far too long before it actually happens, making Blake take punishments and plugs of various sizes before he actually gives Blake what he needs/wants.
However, what drove me nuts, was the constant "little boy" endearments and monosyllabic dialog that seems to have become the staple for bdsm stories. Perhaps it is just wishful thinking on my part, or perhaps I just need to concede that this is just how things are. Either way, I will not give up hope and continue with the next installment.
This is a fun little story, almost pure erotica, with plenty of sexual tension, teasing with plugs of various sizes, and explosive action once Blake and Archer get down to the main event. One that Blake has waited for over a year to happen. Taking anticipation to a whole new level, this way of celebrating the final consummation of their relationship fits well with how this particular Master and sub run their lives.
Not a typical Sean Michael story. Yes the sex is there and that is about all that is.
First it is written in first person from the subs point of view. Why?
Then you find yourself asking 'why' all the time. Why don't I know what is going on in the Dom's mind? Why does it start out with a punishment and you don't know the reason? Especially, why wait one year and be living together without actual intercourse? Anticipation I get but one year, are you kidding me?!!
Pretty awesomely filthy actually. This story is one intense BDSM scene and what I know about the BDSM scene is only what I've read, so that's not saying much.
I did actually understand the loving relationship aspect of the pairing more so than in most other books of this genre I've read. I think it was because they did show genuine emotion to each other and it didn't seem so scripted as they broke character to take care of each other beyond just the scene.
So, it really is a sweet love story, just pornier ;).
Engaging and sweet. It reminds me of Fifty Shades of Grey in a good way. Though I don't quite understand D/s' subjects, but this novella has a lot of kinky sex to compensate those points.
The book it started in the middle of a punishment, the book is one long sex scene, with 6 different sized plugs, because apparently his Dom has one BIG ASS anaconda between the legs! They have been together for a year, but never had sexual intercourse..*eye roll*...! And I keep think maybe I get the reason for it the more I read, BUT NOOOOO i'm not so lucky!!
3,5 stars rounded up cause even if it is PWP(just what I was looking for!) it's sweet too and i liked it a lot. I need these kind of stories once in awhile and I know Sean Michael never disappoints me

The beginning bothered me because it seemed like Blake wasn’t as into the submission as he should have been. It took until more than halfway through for his feelings to be explained at which point it made more sense.
The plugs were kinda fun and in abundance.
***** POV… first person
Standalone or series… book 1 in series CAN be read as standalone
2.5* Not really sure how to review this one as there's no real story to it, just a long scene involving two men, a bit of kink and a whole load of whinging. It certainly didn't work for me on an arousing level and I wanted to punch the sub throughout most of it but it's short, reasonably well edited and there's no annoying typos which is always a plus point.
A single scene between a stubborn submissive and his stern Dominant
Warning: This review might contain what some people consider SPOILERS.
Rating: 6/10
PROS: - The story essentially encompasses one long scene, with a couple of breaks in the middle. What I liked was that the men don’t adhere to the Master/slave dynamic the whole time. When Blake needs his lover, Archer drops the Master hat and becomes his lover. - Michael does a good job with this story of showing the mind games that a lot of Dominants like to play.
CONS: - It’s so short we barely get any idea of who the characters really are. - There are several kinks here that are not my cup of tea. Humiliation and punishment are the two that come to mind right away.
Overall comments: This is decent for what it is--a short work of BDSM erotica. It has the same basic fault that most short works do: just about the time the characters start to round out, it’s over.
3.5 It's not perfect, but I liked getting into the sub's POV. I thought it was interesting, to see the story/scene unfold. At first, I thought that his Dom was just some guy he did scenes with from time to time over the year, but then you find out it's his lover and they live together. I liked the contrast shown between Archer the Dom and Archer the every day lover. And how it showed that those that practice BDSM can be loving, caring everyday people. I am a bit surprised there was a year wait for sex, but it didn't bother me. What I didn't like so much was the "little boy" thing. I wasn't sure if it was in reference to his size or if it was some age-play sort of thing? Plain "boy" would have been preferred, but that's just me.
Typical Sean Michael with truncated sentences and weak, token plot ... there was a weird mental breakdown scene which was a smidge WTF-ery given the word count ... my biggest meh moment was when plug 6 was described as being almost as big as a fist yet wasn't as big as the Dom's penis ... really? *sigh*
This is basically one long scene. Actually there is no basically about it, it is one long scene. I wanted to know why they have been together for 1 year and haven't had intercourse yet? I wanted to know the reason behind that.
Sorry, but Blake and Archer didn't do anything for me :(
One night - an important evening in the lives of Master Archer and Blake, with just little glimpses from their thoughts and conversation about the time - a year or more that has built up to this day, Part of me wishes I could have the whole story, but Sean Michael's little tales are always hot and well described.
Not alot of plot. Really its just one long scene with a master feeding his sub a series of 6 plugs. Each one bigger than the last in preparation to be able to take him. PWP really but some sexy stuff.
HOT! HOT! HOT! I love BDSM sex when it's between 2 people in love.
There are currently 7 books in this series and they are all stand-alone. Each one is a fairly short read and they are very different so they can be read one right after the other or interspersed between other books.
A little short of a story . More a scene in someone's home. A good short but not what I thought it to be. A tiny bit disappointed in it, the author has done soo much better.
