I'm not usually a fan of the graphic novel or comic book. However, this title, which is actually a comprehensive anthology of story arcs originally published as comic books, does meet my criteria for a novel even though it is presented in graphic/dialog based form. The subject matter is familiar to those of us who attended college right out of high school, with all the usual sub plots and agonies. The characters are diverse and generally likeable, and as readers we get to watch them growing up together, coming to grips with aspects of their own identities and those of others, and culminating in a funny and satisfying graduation ceremony for several of them. Light reading that rings true.

I haven't read this book in over 10 years. I was glad to see it on sale on Amazon, so I snatched it up.

The story is about a freshman in college and his coming out story. The first time I read this story, I remembered how much I connected with Daniel King, the main protagonist.

It was nice to see just how much I've grown since the last time I read this book, and to see how far I've come in my coming out story.

Ok I know what you probably are all thinking. What the heck is this book even about and why would someone read it. I was actually introduced to this comic by one of my friends from my old school. He is gay and I was really shocked when I found out. I didn't want to be his friend anymore, but that was before this year that I found out my true self. Then he told me by email to read this comic. I did right away and now I know what he is going through, and myself as well now. I don't think everybody should read this. I support gay marriage and am now discovering myself more and more each day. When it comes to supporting a friend, no matter what he believes in, I will always be there for him or her and share the things that Daniel King and his friends have told me. Beware on reading this book if you do. It has some private things that shouldn't be shown in public shown. Thank you so much Mr. Lance Rund. You are an angel sent from above to scoop up those in your wings that most people would just let lie there. And I thank you so much for that. I never would have thought that I would easily compare myself to Daniel "Danni-lion" King, but I do. I think of myself as him at times. You have had an amazing impact on my life and again I want to thank you for writing this series of comics. This is my third time reading this book and I will continue reading it over and over again

This is a great 'Graphic Novel/Series' to read!

I first heard about these books through a friend, a few years ago, and had to borrow his collection to read the whole story as it was difficult to get all the comics when I was looking for them. I have since just ordered the single-bound Hardcover edition and am so glad I did! I remember liking the characters and the funny situations the characters got into from story-line to story-line. The artwork was done by a few different artists of the time that were paved the way for some of the newer 'Anthro' artwork that's being seen today. Chris McKinley, Terri Smith & Frank Gembeck are a few of the artists that I know right off the top of my head, and am instantly familiar with their work, but there are others that are credited to the artwork in this series as well.

The only thing I didn't like about the series, was that it seemed so final. I wished it could have gone on forever! In any case, this was a great adult 'Graphic Novel' and I'm very excited to have my own copy coming to me after all these years; having forgotten about thoughtful stories and original artwork.

I'm reviewing this months after reading it, and just the name brings a smile to me face. I wish like hell I could find a copy of this to buy, but I'm a happier person for having read it, and that's enough.

Отличный комикс, увы в реальной жизни не так все просто и радужно как там, особенно если ты гей в России.
