this is the second time i’ve read this book and was inspired again. Rachels love for Jesus amid her intense suffering is remarkable. Also find the Jewish culture fascinating and how they hate the christian’s so whole heartedly.

Ihave owned this book for over sixty years, since Iwas 16 in fact and had never read it,even though I was and still am an avid reader..Aweek ago I came across the book and decided to give it a go.I am pleased I left it til now to read,I was too young to appreciate it at sixteen. poor Rachel the beautiful young, jewess bride who dared to become a Christian. The story is set in New York in the forties, and I found the story fascinating and very readable. The young heroine suffered greatly for her faith both from her jewish family and also from the Christians she turned to.
