The most dangerous game in the world might finally have a winner.
When Elly Bradshaw returns to London for her father's funeral, she's introduced to his former business partner. Mark Douglas is rich, successful and attractive, but he hides a dark side. Following a series of coincidences, Elly is drawn closed to Mark, and finally she gets a hint of the lifestyle he leads. Mark is part of a deadly game that has been played in secret for more than two centuries, and Elly soon finds her sexual boundaries being pushed as Mark seeks to learn how far she'll go... and whether she might be the girl to finally win the mysterious game.
Meanwhile, back in the late nineteenth century, a private investigator named Jonathan Pope begins to look into claims of a secret organization that might be responsible for the disappearance of several girls. He soon discovers that a dark sexual game is being played, but by the time he learns the truth, it's too late for Pope to get away. Like Elly, he's drawn deeper and deeper into the complex sexual machinations of three very dangerous people: the troubled Mr. Blue, the vicious Mr. White, and the elusive Lady Red.

I can't wait to get started on the 2nd book! This story has pulled me in since the first chapter. Amy Cross is an excellent writer and I'm looking forward to finding out more about this "game"
How depraved was this story. I absolutely loved it. Don't know where Amy gets her ideas from but this one was cracker. I'm off to buy Broken White now. Excellent Amy📕👍
I wanted to like this book but to be honest i found the story weird - i understand the author trying to create drama and mystery about "the game" but other than knowong particpants are in it til they die - and many do die early in the game - there's not enough info to make me want to continue. the charcters are odd too - Elly, uni student and virgin up til now suddenly becoming all adventurous with someone she's only just met ( but is goodlooking and rich....) comes across as very shallow character. Mark can't seem to decide whether he wants her or not and as he knows more about the "game" and its dangers then you'd think if he cares for her as much as we are led to believe he'd do everything to keep her safe and out of it. Maybe there's just not enough info about everyone and everything in the this book to hold my interest - for those that like books in installments it might hodl nore promise.
