In Amish Circle Letters, follow the journey of a series of letters that pass through the Fisher family. Meet feisty Mary Ruth, the young woman who prefers her independence to conformity, Steve who gave up long ago on finding love, and little Katie who makes a new friend in Melvin, a friendship that has the potential to grow into something more.
As Amish do not use computers or cell phones to communicate, Amish women will often write circle letters, letters that they send to a list of addresses of people that they would like to include in the correspondence. Since they do not have access to photocopiers, the first person on the list will receive the letter, read it, and respond. That person sends both the first letter and their response to the second name on the list. This continues until the entire package of letters goes full-circle, returning to the original sender.

I loved reading all ten books at one time in the complete series of "Amish Circle Letters". I wasnt sure what to expect but I loved being able to read a story or a book and it flows so nicely. You get the right amount of details and you a definately not lost while reading it. Sarah Price does a wonderful job writing.
I cant wait to read the second set of stories to know what is happening in the Fisher family lives. Im waiting for all of the book to be published so I can again read them all straight through at once.
This was my third Sarah Price book and I was very impressed with her writing style. Sarah takes you on an adventure into the life of the Amish as they communicate through what many would call the old fashion way of letter writing, or what they call circle letters, meaning one family starts a letter while in turn after sending it the next family would include their own letter, until it eventually makes its way back to the original family member who started the chain. Now in the particular story you will follow the heartwarming family of Elias and Miram Fisher and their sever children. You will see how love, binds us in a way that is unexpected during hardship. How faith builds walls during the hardest if times, and how the simplest things as a letter can be the hardest of things but the most rewarding in the end. Sarah deserved a 5plus stars for this and the second books in the series as well which I read as well which is Circle Letters 2. And it followers the same family. I highly recommend this series.
I had a problem with editing. The last couple of books by this author had the very same problem. Characters were mixed up, grammar was terrible, words were switched around and it makes you wonder if this author even rereads her work before sending it out. Also, in the first half of the book the phrase, “for sure and certain” was used so often that I wanted to quit reading.
I love this series and am thrilled that it continues on in the Amish Circle Letters II complete series! I hated to read the last line and let go of the family that I feel as if I know. Happy to have found this author!
great book, easy to read, a little confusing at first with all the characters but by the end of the book it was easy to understand all the different characters. I also liked the fact that they had real problems that were discussed! looking forward to the next book!
Amish Circle Letters has well rounded characters that you truly love by the end of the book. Following the life of this extended family for several months was a fascinating insight into the everyday struggle with faith, hope and the love of family. Looking forward to the sequel!
