Refelden was in no way special. Just another world in infinite space. At first I was wondered whether this was the language of the book, deliberately different from normal English as a characteristic of the narrator, like Riddley Walker. But no. The explanation can be found just under the blurb and on the author's Goodreads page:
He has long lifeless orbiting around its hot sun before gods on it didn't start their game of creation and destruction.
Steps of PragmatismThis is how Mr. Damian writes English. I have less than zero interest in reading an entire book of this awkwardness.
According to generally accepted definition, pragmatism is philosophy that ignores the importance of theoretical discussion, but emphasizes importance of final effect.
There were a few theories with so many opponents. Sincerely, I don't see what is so bad in desire for final effect of some action, to be emphasized. Speaking about theoretical discussion, by my thinking, it is important only if it is just a step toward the practical solution. If we prolong theoretical discussion with no practical reason, it becomes gluttonous of energy.
