It is my fervent hope that men such as Bella writes about really exist. Master Chief "JJ" meets the love of his life and what happens between them is what fairy tales are made of. These men are strong, sexy, and patriotic. Just my kind. Bella weaves a great, intriguing story along with romance and it just sucks you in right from the beginning. As I am an older person, I love the fact that the H and h of this story are older.

Intrigue and romance at its finest!
Irene Ortiz may not see her forties again but she was beginning a new, exciting phase of her life. Her police chief husband had been killed months earlier in the line of duty and she was now realizing that life had a lot more to offer. Retiring and taking a trip with her beloved niece Amy and Gavin, her soon to be nephew-in-law, was the first step on that new road. Meeting Master Chief James Jones on that trip was exciting and scary at the same time. She was old-fashioned in many ways yet JJ made her feel things, and want things, she didn’t think a “good girl” should. The US military, international espionage and terrorism provide the twists and turns to Irene and JJ’s love story that takes the reader on a ride you won’t want to end!
This full-length novel is the fourth installment, but the first story I’ve read, in the Black Ops Brotherhood series. Reading the previous stories would help fill in the blanks but I was able to thoroughly enjoy Irene and JJ’s story despite that. The plot, involving international spies, chemical warfare and political mayhem, could be torn from today’s headlines. I loved how the author weaved a suspenseful plot in and around a beautiful love story. Irene and JJ are not young lovers. They are older, have successful careers and enjoy the love of friends and family. Irene seems prim and proper while cautiously coming out of her shell to enjoy the adventures and intimate aspects of the new life and love that JJ offers. For me, it was so refreshing to read a steamy love story with older lovers who brought their experience to the bedroom as well as the classroom and international stage. I can’t wait to catch up on the rest of the series!

Sensuous Baby Boomer Relationship!!
Widowed, retired school principal, Irene Ortiz met Master Chief James “JJ” Jones, in Hostile Home Front, as her niece and one of his SEAL protégés (aka tadpoles) fell in love. In Tactical Error they became closer and their attraction to each other was immediate. JJ knew he found “the one,” in Irene. Unsure of his commitment, she retreated and they broke up, even though their feelings for each other were increasing. JJ, a retired SEAL, was determined to win his woman back. They embarked on series of international adventures that not only intensified their passion, but also broke down their personal walls.
Bravo Bella Juarez for writing about Baby Boomers, who have, not only completed distinguished careers, but are active, alluring, sexual beings. Irene understood JJ’s “special” desires, researched how to please him and the resulting action was hot, hot, hot. Proving that experience has its privileges and age is only a number, when it comes to steamy sex.
While I have read this series several times, this was the first book I reviewed, because of the depth of the characters. JJ has been a mentor to all the male lead characters, and Irene raised Amy from Hostile Home Front, but easily slipped into the role of mentor for the women. I look forward to reading and reviewing the rest of the series.

Recently widowed, Irene isn’t looking for love. But in Tactical Error by Bella Juarez Irene and JJ find more than either expected or were looking for. But can Irene learn to trust not only her heart but JJ? I loved that both Irene and JJ were not some young things. They were mature, past the first blush of life but still looking for love, even if it was unintentional. Ms. Juarez showed us that not just the young can have a passionate relationship. She showed that not just the young can find love. She showed that self-doubt is not limited to those just spreading their wings. I loved that Irene wasn’t quite sure what she wanted. She was recently widowed and her experience sexual or otherwise was limited to her husband. JJ was more seasoned at least sexually, but his heart has been barely touched. That all changes when he meets Irene, but is he ready for what it means? But ready or not, JJ is determined to get the gal and even if he must fight her fears he is ready and willing to do what’s necessary. This story was action packed. There were no lulls. Ms. Juarez kept the story moving even as she moved the series arc along even as she gave JJ and Irene their love story. The characters were well developed. The story well written and I can’t wait to see what happens next in Ms. Juarez’s Black Ops Brotherhood series.

When Master Chief James "JJ" Jones, a thirty-plus year veteran SEAL, meets his buddy's future mother-in-law, Irene Ortiz, a recently widowed science teacher, he succumbs to passion and spends a wonderful night with her. Irene isn't ready for a serious relationship with the salty old soldier, but JJ is determined to win her over. Bella Jaurez does a wonderful job in this fourth installment of the Black Ops Brotherhood series of portraying a passionate love affair between mature characters that do not pull any punches with each other! While JJ is a legendary task master in the Navy, Irene is more than a match for him and I loved seeing a mature woman experience red-hot passion! A great read!

A thoroughly suspenseful read that I didn't want to put down! The characters are older but that doesn't take away from the story at all... If anything it brought in more of what each character brought to the table. I enjoyed this read and although it is my first read in this series, I did not get lost. Great read!!! Vim always down for some suspense that has me wondering what's coming next!

Love the story of a mature couple! Both retired and falling in love. But JJ is a retired Seal and the threat to our country heats up so he's off to help. Irene goes with him. What a way for a relationship to start. A rollercoaster as we are determined to get the bad guys.
