A compilation of Nakamura Asumiko sensei’s early BL stories, inspired by romantic comedy that she read in Shonen manga magazines when she was young. This has to be the most funny and entertaining book from her, brainless humor mixed with silly characters.
The inner book cover contains a little fun board game with the summary of the whole adventure. You can play it after reading the title story!

The seme 七海洋一 (28) is a marriage con-artist, he can easily read people’s mind and is a manipulative smooth talker. The uke 高千穂巧 (32) is an average detective police with a good heart, he’s a bit naive and gets tricked easily.
The story talks about the pair trapped on a remote island 竹筍島, the uke is struggling to bring seme back to Tokyo and preventing his escape, whereas the seme’s toying with him and treating it as a honey moon before jail time.
The two met a year ago in a convenience store where the seme was buying pudding and the uke was buying red bean bun and milk for night shift. The seme followed the uke out the store and the uke got annoyed and stepped on dog poop, the seme ran off with the uke’s police badge and found a diamond ring in there. The next day the seme reappears and the uke lied about the ring said it’s from his dead mom, whereas the seme knew it from his ex-girlfriend. Later on the uke threw the ring into the river and the seme saw it and tried to search for it, the uke stopped him and got kissed by seme. The uke said he will apply for a warrant and arrest the seme the next time they meet, bring him to justice. The seme blushed and had a heart thump…
It took uke a whole year to finally find the seme on a remote island, he handcuffed their hands together (both dominant hand)… The ferry to the island only operates on weekend, they had to wait until the evening so went to eat katsudon first. Then the seme said he wanted to pee so they both went to washroom and the uke got attacked by seme and they missed the ferry…
So the uke asked local fisherman to give them a ride but uke got seasick, kept puking and fainted. They woke up on an isolated beach. The seme lied to the uke that his ankle got hurt so the uke wanted to find help and clean the seme’s wound, then the seme pretended to throw away the handcuff key so they stayed together to wait for rescue while watching the sunset. The seme put both handcuffs on the uke as planned, then the fisherman came and took them back to his house for the night.
The next day, the pair was interviewed and spoke on a travel show, the uke’s boss saw them on TV and called. The pair went to onsen after eating dinner (octopus + seaweed), the seme confessed to the uke under the moon, he said the uke taught him what’s love and now he feels guilty about all the women he’s scammed before. The seme promised uke that he will go to jail and asked him to wait. Their sexy moment got interrupted by a bunch of wild monkeys…
The pair finally arrived back to Tokyo, but there’s gale and tsunami coming and they got all wet in the rain, so the seme dragged the uke to a hotel while waiting for the uke’s colleague to arrive. The uke allowed the seme to go in shower and he fell asleep outside bathroom door, dreamt of the ex-girlfriend returning the diamond ring to him. He woke up all naked in bed because the seme sent his suits to dry clean, whereas the seme still has the pants on… The seme asked the uke if he likes him, as they soon won’t be able to see each other for a while. The uke answered no way, so the seme cuffed the uke onto the bed and escaped.
The uke got 30% salary reduction for three months and went back to his old life. One day he got kidnapped by the seme, after he tripped on banana peel and his head got hit by turtle shell, he woke up all tied up with blindfold, and the seme was eating cup noodles.
The uke asked what the seme’s been up to in the past half a year and got pissed. The seme dragged the uke to a tall mountain in the winter. They got trapped in the snowstorm during the hike, the seme proposed for them to die together but the uke walked off and fainted. The seme brought the uke to a cave for shelter, the uke broke down and cried, he thought the seme had forgotten and abandoned him. They finally went all the way after confirming their feelings for each other.
The seme was sentenced to one year and three month in jail, he was released with a shaved head and met the uke in a cafe. The uke gave him a couple ring as present, so they can be linked together even without handcuffs.

This extra story at the end of the book is the prelude for another manga 奈落何処絵巻 あなたのためならどこまでも平安調スペシャル. It took sensei one year to come up with the story set in Heian era. The uke is now 左近衛将曹 and the seme is now 何でも屋陰陽師. The uke told the seme’s violating 安倍晴明’s IP and asked him to change name.
An uncle came over to ask the seme to help him solve a case about his daughter refusing to see the man for arranged marriage, the man’s getting impatient and wonders if the daughter is possessed. So the seme and uke got into a giant bamboo box and got moved to the daughter’s bedroom, the two started making out in there and fell out, only to see the daughter making out with her maid. The two girls then left to become nuns… The seme asked the uke to stay by his side and be his assistant.

The seme’s face got slapped by the ex-girlfriend because he rejected her suggestion to get back together. The two boys shouted out at the same time, do you like me? The uke always blush when the seme touches him… The seme jumped on the uke and hid under the blanket when the health teacher came into the room.
The boys went to a bookstore in Akihabara and saw a bunch of BL manga with bride/marriage theme. The seme wants to see the uke wear simple and pure wedding gown showing shoulder and back… The uke told the seme not to touch him and the seme had sad puppy eyes…

Primer de tot, Asumiko Nakamura reina ♥ Aquest manga se centra en un BL cuquíssim i ple d'escenes hilarants entre un detectiu que vol capturar un estafador amorós. No m'esperava una història en clau d'humor, estil comèdia romàntica d'aquesta autora tenint en compte les grans dosis de drama que inclou en els seus relats, però encaixa a la perfecció. El volum es completa amb dues històries addicionals, molt més breus: Magical Butler, 1 capítol breu i surrealista entre un venedor de baietes i un majordom xDD i Non-non, dos amics d'institut que s'acaben agradant i són moníssims, però que es queda a mitges!!!

it really felt like an 80s yaoi with the whole mood and tropes that really don't go over well and while it is a silly comedy i cant say i like this one as much........ though i really do like nakamura's art style i cant get enough of it

This is one of romantic comedy that never fails to make me go aww-ing (lol), especially the 3rd couple (friends become lovers). They are seriously CUTE! I need MORE of them. MOARRR!! XD
I think the vol 2 of this series should cover them, their sequel. But no, the vol 2 is about 1st couple in Heian version instead. -____- Not that I hate them, I think 1st couple's love story in this vol 1 is okay too, I laughed my ass off when the seme compared the uke's cuteness with Kato-chan, like WTH? LOL. I was really dying of laughter when I found out what Kato-chan looks like! LOL. But I have a mixed feeling about this 1st couple, mostly because I don't like the seme. However, in the end I still found their story quite enjoyable for a light read, and I'm positively sure that's because the uke is a tsundere and I'm weak to tsundere, lol.

I found the story about the detective and the criminal really cute and interesting. I loved to see their interactions and there were a lot of funny moments.
About the 2nd volume, and the 2nd story, i found it a little confusing sometimes, and more than one time i lost my attention, and had to read again to understand what they were saying. For all this is a 4 stars, mostly for the main story.

Funny story about a detective and a criminal handcuffed together on a remote island, having missed the last boat out. This is cute and sodapop-sparkly like 同級生 but grownup.
