The book becomes somewhat elusive, and its formal resources (its malleable versification, its mysterious enumerations, the semantic force of its questions) play to summon the reader's confidence and then dissolve the narrative in an almost cryptic verbal display.
But despite the apparent elusiveness of the text there is a diction, intimate, that integrates us into the world of the poem, which forces us to penetrate the text and observe its atmosphere from a privileged perspective. The reader usurps that empty space, a gap inside the poem from where the author's voice speaks to him and, above all, from where that speech becomes organic, definitive.
As if it were a prospect, whoever reads follows the instructions of the sound force. As a translator, the poet interprets and explains abstract reality to make it clearer.
The absence of commas suggests the collectivity of the words that refer to the neighborhood familiarity.
Temporal preoccupation, religion, the configuration of being (without being), the writing process, (pre) occupy the discourse of the Mexican poet who takes from other generations and aspects. Symmetry, parallelisms, juxtaposition, rhetorical questions, enumerations, dialogue, reticence, capital letters and bold letters become proof that we reason out of passion for language.
