Brevity

Rate this book
***** This is a SHORT Novelette at 10,000 words (about 35 pages) and should be read AFTER Book #2 (Relativity) in the Sage Hannigan Time Warper series. *****
Brevity is written in Aldwin's point of view and meant to give readers an inside look into Aldwin's life and past.

Book Excerpt:
“She’s gone … I felt … I felt her warp.” Soren’s voice was full of anguish, and in that instant, I hated him for having a bond with Sage, to have felt her leave when I was the one lying right next to her. I clenched my jaw and continued to prepare to scour the city. A slight breeze ruffled my hair as Soren left. I was glad he was gone. Glad he wouldn’t be nearby to witness my pain consume me.
And consume me it did.
My scream rent the air, and lightening rained down, answering my fury and grief

OMG I love everything Peggy Martinez writes!!! I love this novelette. If you have read Contingency and Relativity, you must read Brevity!! I always liked Aldwin and now I can't get enough of him.

Brevity shows us why Aldwin and Milena are together and why he has been so distant from Sage. How could I be mad at him for his knight in shining armor and selfless act? I even like Milena now and almost think she would be good for Aldwin. This could be the solution for everyone! (For me, wink!) Soren and Sage, Aldwin and Milena...sounds like a great plan. Anyway, I love having a chance to look into what Aldwin has been feeling and how he spent some of the time separated from Sage. He is a true gentleman/Fae Prince!

Another fantastic story from Peggy Matinez!!!

"A worthy opponent.
A chance to win back her love.
A glimmer of hope at last."

I love the Sage Hannigan series. So, when it was announced that Peggy would be writing some Novelette's to hold us over until the next installment, I was geeked!!

Now, it is not secret, I am totally Team Soren. However, there is definitely a soft spot in my heart for Aldwin. And this little snippet made me appreciate and understand even more why Aldwin was the way he was in Relativity.

This novelette was just enough to give us a look into some of the back story about Aldwin and Milena. Why were they so close when Aldwin is OBVIOUSLY majorly in love with Sage? Like I said, this made me really appreciate the harshness and coolness felt from him during Relativity.

I especially loved Peggy's descriptions of the dark fae court. It was vividly colorful!!

Oh, and did I mention that her cover model for Aldwin is yummy!??!!

I am anxiously awaiting Soren's story....but Peggy did an awesomesauce job with Aldwin.

The only unfortunate thing about this book was that it wasn't longer. I loved reading about Aldwin, and finding out more about what kind of guy he really is. In Contingency, he was a little aloof. Then he became the protective lover of Sage. In Relativity he was the man with a secret, on another womans arm, instead of Sage's. Here we learn why. He is a really good guy. At the risk of his own future, he stood up against the dark fae ruler to help another. I would love to read more from his perspective.

First let me say I am still Team Soren but you can't help but fall in love with Aldwin in this story. Brevity opens up a whole new side to Aldwin. It's amazing. No spoilers here though. You have to buy it and read it to find out the truth behind Aldwin and his past not to mention his future...OMG HIS FUTURE!!!! Poor Sage has her men cut out for her. I can't wait to see how it all comes together in Peggy's next book. Absolutely amazing story. Buy it you wont be sorry.

The "Time Warper Series" is one of my all time favorites! I love that we learned more of what Aldwin's story was and why he couldn't tell Sage. You can feel how much he loves her and how much he aches to be with her. Looking forward to the next Novella and of course the third book! Highly recommended!

Brevity is a time warper novelette in the time warper series. It gives a little back story for Aldwin. We find out more about how he came to be a part of Sage’s story and why he had to break her heart.
I told Peggy after I finished Relativity that I was team Soren. She then said that I may change my mind after I read Aldwin’s story. Now I feel like team Switzerland. I can’t decide. They both love Sage and she loves them both too. ugh I just want to read Eventualtiy and find out what she decides!!!
I did love this short story about Aldwin. Though it didn’t help me become totally team Aldwin, I did enjoy reading about his complicated situation with Milena.
Brevity gets 5 stars from Paranormal Tendencies!
