Oliver Sanders, a young scholar from Oxford, arrives at the isolated Wycliffe Castle to work as a private tutor. However, his new student turns out to be not quite what he had expected.
Winston Henley has been expelled from a prestigious boarding school. He is devastatingly handsome, but unfortunately he has absolutely no interest in studying, something that Oliver has to change if he wants to keep his employment.

Read as Part of Different Desire Volume 1

This book was remarkably sweet. I adored the young couple. Enjoyed their happy ending as well.

Winston Henley has been expelled from boarding school. Oliver Sanders is an Oxford scholar who deigns to tutor him because he wants access to the Henley library in order to finish his thesis. He expects a spoiled brat of a child who doesn’t know what he’s supposed to do. Oliver is stuffy and uptight and dreading the job, even though it will get him something he wants. What he doesn’t expect is for that “child” to actually be a “devastating attractive young gentleman”.

When it turns out that Winston was actually expelled for inappropriate behavior with a boy, he lets Oliver know that his father had basically makde him a prisoner. He was disinherited and had been locked in his room for three months. When he tried to leave once his father hired men to bring him back and ruined the company that took him in. So he has no direction in life. Oliver’s plan to save him, perhaps help them both, was a good one and well thought out. I liked that despite all of Winston’s flirting and trying, they don’t fall into bed together. They make sure the plan worked before they commit and it was sweet. I did laugh at the uptight Oliver’s idea that although he wanted to take Winston roughly, it would “be rather rude”. They had a way to be together and I liked that very much.

Historical M/M romance about a young scholar that needs to work to pay for the last tuition payment at Oxford to finish his thesis and become an official professor who get a job for a rich nobleman's youngest son who is a bit of a misfit. Tutor Oliver is charmed right off the bat by the good looks of Winston his student, but he stays at arm's length for most of the summer while he tutors and finally succeeds in getting an acceptance to Cambridge for Winston (his name sounds like a butler's name!. More romance then anything else. Cute story which was quite short.

A good thought behind this story, but so very poorly executed. I've read fanfiction with better editing than this. On any given page you will find grammar issues, mostly improperly used words and extensive run on sentences. Its beyond distracting and causes true reading to be tedious at best.
Than you have the author using mainly pov narrative by one character but several times switching to third person. This causes any flow of story to be completely broken.
Sex scenes standard and skim worthy. All in all not worth the time nor money that one could invest elsewhere.

When Oliver Sanders accepts at Wycliffe Castle to tutor the Viscount’s youngest son, he expects to have access to the Castle library and find books to help him finish his thesis. But what he does not expect is Winston Henley, his student, to be a devastatingly handsome reckless brat. It is going to be so difficult to resist temptation….
Short and sexy, Temptation is an amusing little story to idle a gloomy evening away. Entertaining but forgettable.
