We have had the vegetable-specific version of this cookbook for more than a decade, so when I saw the appetizer installment I snapped it right up knowing it would be terrific. I know the title says "appetizers," but many of these will make for a terrific dinner. So far, we've enjoyed the spicy pumpkin puff which, to an American, is butternut squash for any of you playing along at home, and look forwarding to enjoying several others in the coming week, including asparagus spear twists, mini pizzas, artichoke frittata, prawn packets, tzatziki, tamale beef and bean pies, mini lentil burgers and tomato relish, and vegetable frittata with hummus and black olives--you know, in anticipation of being able to entertain again in a post-COVID (or at least post-COVID vaccine) world. There's even a section with hand-held desserts! Recipes are organized, concise and well illustrated, so I recommend this book to anyone with a hankering for upping their appetizer game.
