This is a very informative and in-depth look at the historically significant architectural sites in the Piedmont region of NC. Though not designed to be read straight through, the introduction is very informative and gives a broad overview of the history of the state as it relates to economic development and the built environment.
I really enjoyed this book as someone who grew spent significant time in Charlotte and Raleigh, NC.
