This was a gruesome end to this series with a sweet and minty romance. There is swearing, lusting, romanticizing of tattoos and death, with the puzzling mystery of fate. Read at your own risk.
I’m so sad that I’ve finished this series, but simultaneously glad that Jo got her HEA. Jo has been struggling her entire life. The older she’s gotten, the more visions she gets. She can’t control them, she doesn’t know when they will come, and they bring her pain and misery. She’s only 18, but she feels like she’s two hundred. She’s broken when she is found by a fae prince. He takes her to the fae courts where they run into Evander. Evander is a leader in no man’s land. He trains his army, helps the people, and protects everyone to the best of his ability. He’s incredibly strong and brave. He finds out what Jo is and offers to help her if she will help him in return. Their relationship and journey was so good, but I wanted to knock Jo over the head for not realizing who he was to her sooner. Then we have Fatimah. He is HILARIOUS!! I just love a goofy sidekick who is also a bada$$. I do wish we got a couple of epilogues to show the future of the couples from each book. Each book kind of ends abruptly with very little information about their HEAs. I thought maybe this book would have a couple epilogues to round everything out, but no. It ended just as abruptly as the other books. A little disappointing, but would definitely read it again.
I have been waiting for this book for a long time and it was totally worth it. I couldn't put it down and contemplated not leaving for my job. The characters were fun and I loved the witty humor. Jo is definitely my role model now. I believe we all need a little crazy in each of us. The plot line keeps you engaged and wanting more, it was also a beautiful ending to an incredible series. I would recommend that everyone should read it.
This book had great pacing, amusing characters, and a good story. I debated between 4 and 5 stars. One of the biggest reasons I chose 4 was the story abruptly ends. This is the 7th book and there are 7 keys but that underlying story isn't resolved.
Things that were supposed to be funny were but only mildly so.
This is a clean romance. No sex scenes are included. (Not my preference.)
Okay this was oh so obvious but dayum...had to just love Jo and Evander! The end of this series was one of the better books. Jo is a hoot and Evander is just an awesome alpha-hole hero. The whole team showing up is fun but could have been better if the book were longer to include more action and overlapping of the past heroes with one another and the current cast. Still--pretty satisfying!
Loved the series. The last book was great. I loved that I got to see what jolene was going through. I loved Evander. Can't wait for their kids stories. Really enjoyed the series and I binge read it in like 4 days so it was a great experience. Will try doing some fanart because there were no fanart on our handsome men in this series. 💜
This was the perfect ending to our group of misfits. I have enjoyed every moment of these books going to hell and back seems to be required but nog always. Each of our group has now found the other half they needed but didn't realize. I'm happy to see Jo healed and while again.
I loved Jo's story!! Her and her Fae Prince were everything! Fatimah was awesome, and seeing the other characters all come together for Jo was perfect!
I loved this series, and the end was amazing. I felt so bad for the struggles Jo went through. Her mate was a surprise but glad to see her get a happy ending, poor girl deserves it after everything.
This whole series was absolutely great. I loved all of it. The ending of this book was very disappointing. I feel like the ending was very rushed and it was Joe’s turn to find happiness and it was very rushed.
Waited so long for this & would've got 5 stars if there wasn't inconsistencies in the writing like a black dress becomes a blue dress on the following page not even the next chapter little details that should've been spotted other then that was an epic end to a long overdue book.
