Rate this book
From the inside of the jacket: "From war plants, draft boards, Federal and State agencies has been garnered this hilarious crop of letters from a baffled, nay, frustrated, citizenry. Though certain names have necessarily been altered, their anguished authenticity is as engrossing as is their range from ribaldry to desperation."

75 pages wih very short letters, many to the draft board in the 1940's explining why the writer is unsuitable for military service. And other letters with unintentional double meanings written by folks not well versed in English language. What's most memorable is all the letters are actual communications from people, not made up.
