And considering who her boss would be–the band’s bassist, manager, and undisputed king of bad attitudes Kent Hudson–would she even want the job? Rebecca isn’t sure. In fact, she’s not sure of much in her life, except one thing: Kent wants her, she wants him back, and the underlying animal attraction between them makes her interview rough, in more ways than one!

Exclusive Interview is a 19,200 word novelette, and is the first in the Rock Arrangement series.

GREAT quickie !!! Loved the characters , loved the story line & loved the lead into book 2 :)

I really needed a hot little quickie today & this was perfect .

This is erotica but there is only 1 sex scene .....1 GREAT sex scene lol

Exclusive Interview was such a fun twist on the Rockstar Romance genre! Rebecca is not a musician or a groupie. She’s not an ex from before he was famous, or just some girl who happens to not know who the band is. She’s just a twenty-something living with her sister, rent free, and not doing much besides obsessively cleaning. At least until one day her sister has had enough, filled her phone with a job hunting itinerary, and sent her off with some bus fare. Rebecca expects to interview for some bartending and housekeeping positions, but then she mistakenly meets Kent and everything changes.

I loved that Rebecca was different from the typical Romance heroine. I wouldn’t go as far as calling her loser like Exclusive Interview‘s description does, but she’s not really looking for more. Job hunting sucks, I get it. Sitting around at home with no bills and generally not adulting is much more fun than working. Basically, Rebecca felt incredibly real and relatable to me! I also loved how she just rolled with it, even when she figured she may be in the wrong place for an interview. But much to her surprise, she’s quite qualified for the work that Kent wants her to do: babysit his junkie, rockstar brother!

Exclusive Interview was a great introduction to this series. I loved that it’s taking a different road than other similar books that I’ve read. The only thing I didn’t care for was that the sex scene came out of nowhere. There was no build up. It just kind of happened. But that ending? I must know what Kent has in store for Rebecca next!

The story is about Rebecca, who is sorta loser. She's broke, lives temporarly at her sister's because she's homeless, and she spends her days watching Supernanny on TV and her nights cleaning up to relieve her stress. When her sister Rose forces her to go jobhunting, she ends applying for a housekeeping position for Kent, a wet-your-panties kind of guy... or so she thinks.


I believe this is the first installment in the RockStar Romance series, which should be at least a 4 books serial. I liked the story well enough so far, and it was a rather funny read.
I have some reservations regarding Rebecca's character, because she's so whiny... One of her first sentences is that she feels sorry for herself, so at least I was forewarned! ;)
The ending of this 1st book has me intrigued, so I'm looking forward Exclusive Arrangement, the next installement of the series.

Kent is a hot rocker for 'The Lonely Kings of Lifeless Things' he plays and the manager. He is searching for a personal assistant for his brother but at the interview it seemed it was for him. So when he tells Rebecca that it was to babysit his brother because he is a wild one and can't stay out of trouble. You can tell the attraction with the two of them. This was a short quick read that was pretty good for a first book in a new series. This was my first time reading this author and I am looking forward to reading the rest of it.

I got this as a freebie and must say I really liked it. The writer pulls off first person well. The heroine is funny and fresh and real. The hero is hot. However, I hate serials. Hate them. I was all eager to by this authors other books but when I found out she publishes in serials, bleh. It is too pricey for one thing, 50 pages is not worth $2.99. I also read a lot and reread a lot. I don't like to keep track of serials and really don't like having to open up more ebooks during a reread.

So, I love the voice and hate the format. I hope she comes out with non serials.

Well,I must say I was so happy to read this series and my excitement continued through out every page.On the downside these books were a little too short but full of awesome hotness.Rebecca was a trip.She had me laughing and wanting a cold shower all in the same sentence. I'm pretty sure I see more Ava Lore in my future.She writes a steamy sex scene and her story line was awesome!Oh and did I mention a hot Rock star named Kent that will make your panty dropping dreams come true.

If you love struggling and messed up characters, bad boy rock stars, and a little naughty play between a few characters, then this book perfect for you. This definitely has potential to produce an overall entertaining story, even though they're pretty short in length. So...I bought book two. I hope I'm not let down.

This was the first story I’ve read by Ms. Lore but I don’t think it will be my last by her. A well written story that I’m looking forward to continuing though I would have preferred reading the full novel in one sitting.

It's funny as hell couldn't stop but also sexy and sad at time it's a well written book. I would recommend this book to any one who love Rock Stars and sex and romance novels.

Rebecca is a curvy girl who has nothing and is living on her sisters couch and all she does is clean her sisters house which is driving her sister crazy. So she forces her to take a shower that she hasn't done in a while then get dressed and found a bunch of places to get interviewed for a job. She dresses for a bar job but she does have to go for a housekeeping job to why not she loves cleaning. She has sleep in 36hrs so when she looks at the info on her phone which her sister put on she walks in. When she sees people in suits she get worried that this is the wrong place but she stays but that job was for housekeeping.

Kent is a hot rocker for 'The Lonely Kings of Lifeless Things' he plays and the manager. He is searching for a personal assistant for his brother but at the interview it seemed it was for him. So when he tells Rebecca that it was to babysit his brother because he is a wild one and can't stay out of trouble. You can tell the attraction with the two of them.

So I'm telling you it's ups and downs and hot at times you have to read it because it's so good just bought the rest of the seris.

Nothing to complain about the writing or the editing this time, which is my first requirement in any book, be it erotica or "mainstream" fiction, or non-fiction for that matter.
The heroine is a perfect anti-hero: feeling and behaving like a looser. The hero just behaved like a perfect jerk in this novella which took a while to settle the characters.
What I really did not like at all is that this is not a free-standing novella but just the the first part of a bigger book. I would have much preferred if all were put together and this would also help for rating it, as it seems weird to rate a book chapter by chapter or more precisely by bunches of chapter alltogether.
Anyway this introduction was ok but none too convincing and the ending really abrupt.

I downloaded this because 1) Hello, sexy cover! 2) Rock star guitarists....is there any sexier thing? I think not! And 3) The first two reasons made it absolutely impossible to pass up free!

I did however learn that the Rock Arrangement books 1-4 can be bought in one standalone book titled Hard Rock Arrangement (The Lonely Kings #1), so if you do not want to buy 4 separate books to get the complete story then go purchase just the one. I know I'm going to! You cannot end on a cliffhanger like that and not finish the story. Nope, can't do it!

Since this is just the intro into the full length book I'll post a full review on it once I've finished, but if you're looking for a sexy rock star book this one will definitely get you going.

"4 out of 5 stars!! I really liked the buildup in this novel ... from the sexual tension that seems to increase every time Kent and Rebecca are in the same space together to how Rebecca goes about looking for a job or how weird she is about cleaning."

What the hell??? The ending to book 1 in this series, I mean DA FUQ! I am very intrigued to see just how this plays out especially when you can plainly tell Rebecca and Kent like each other.
Personally I do NOT like Carter's character so far, he has a LOT of growing up to do.
I now this series has been turned into a full novel called Hard Rock Arrangement, and is book 1 of the series The Lonely Kings now which is great because I have a feeling I am going to really love this book in the end. So I am equally excited to see what is in store for the rest of the band in the series.

I just could not stop laughing while reading this! A book with humor and sex appeal - I loved it! I don't too many complaints except wishing that Kent's brother would grow a pair...:)Oh and one other thing I almost forgot about that made me change my initial rating. I'm pretty fed up with this serial trending! It's starting to become tedious and almost every e-author seems to be on the bandwagon grr...

I really enjoyed this short story. Rebecca is a HOOT and her rambling were hysterical. She definitely didn't know what she was getting herself into when she met Kent. Sex on a stick sums him up. I can't wait to see how she handles Kent's out of control younger brother Carter as this story moves along.

my complete and utter disappointment at the end....Because I feel as though I am free falling and MUST buy the next book in the series. I love the characters, the story, but I want Kent and Rebecca together...I do not know why but, I feel he needs a little bit more fixing than some of the others.

Quick read! Wow, I was disappointed as to how quick.
The story line wasn't bad, but quick. I think it could have had more detail, or perhaps combined part 1 with 2...
As a matter of fact, I've got part 2 pulled up on amazon and it's 2.99 for 56 pages, I'm too scared to buy, due to part 1.
It's a shame really, because I enjoyed the story line so much and the writer has awesome talent!!

4.5 stars. What a great story. Love Kent and Carter, great brothers. Truly enjoy it. Wow, Rebecca did really had a bad story on her, poor baby. Manny and Sasha, hilarious. But finally Kent open his eyes that he had feelings, dayum it took him long enough and apologize for being a mega A()&^%%! Dayum straight! Kudos to the author, I really did like this book. Cheers!

It was short, sweet and non-cliche. This is a part of the new breed of stories that are published in parts. So, it was only the beginning. I am disappointed because I hate going through different books for the same story. But, I want to finish reading the series and see where it takes me. It was good. Did I already mention that? Yeah, and I am still in my Rock phase.
