Re-read #8 or more. After having read the re-release I picked up the same story, but the original version. It's still by far a better book, than the re-release.
My mother had this book and when I was old enough she gave it to me. I love this YA-story and I wanted every one love it as much as I did. So I lent it to a friend who move to another town and didn't return the book. I was very sad, because it was my mom's book. Another publisher re-released it and I bought it, but the text had been updated and partially rewritten by the author. I met the author during signing sessie and I told her about the old copy of the book. She told me that even she didn't have a copy of it any more. For years I searched in every second hand books shop. The old version always remained somewhere in the back of my head and thanks to internet and accessed to second-hand books online I found a copy. I bought it and even it is not my mom's copy I'm happy I owned this one. I will never lent to anyone.
