About the author

Many works, including Siddhartha (1922) and Steppenwolf (1927), of German-born Swiss writer Hermann Hesse concern the struggle of the individual to find wholeness and meaning in life; he won the Nobel Prize for literature in 1946.

Other best-known works of this poet, novelist, and painter include The Glass Bead Game , which, also known as Magister Ludi, explore a search of an individual for spirituality outside society.

In his time, Hesse was a popular and influential author in the German-speaking world; worldwide fame only came later. Young Germans desiring a different and more "natural" way of life at the time of great economic and technological progress in the country, received enthusiastically Peter Camenzind , first great novel of Hesse.

Throughout Germany, people named many schools. In 1964, people founded the Calwer Hermann-Hesse-Preis, awarded biennially, alternately to a German-language literary journal or to the translator of work of Hesse to a foreign language. The city of Karlsruhe, Germany, also associates a Hermann Hesse prize.

yavaş yavaş okunacak sizi eskilere kendi deneyimlerinize sürekleyecek bir kitap, ben daha çok +40 yaşta okunması gerekiyormuş gibi hissettim,
kısa farklı yerlerden kendi yaşadığı olaylar var

Tak ako som nechápal, keď som bol prvý krát na koncerte americkej rockovej skupiny Swans, že človek za pomoci hudobných nástrojov a reproduktorov dokáže vyprodukovať niečo tak hlučné, rovnako som v údive z pána Hesseho, že človek za pomoci kúsku papiera a pera dokáže vyprodukovať niečo tak nádherne.

Po prečítaní tejto knihy som si istý jednou vecou:
Nebolo to posledný krát, čo som túto knihu čítal.

Anche se non sono molto abituata a leggere classici il modo in cui scriveva Hesse è davvero bello e travolgente.
Amo e ammiro il modo in cui vedeva la vita e ne parlava.
Non saprei davvero cosa dire se non wow,
mi ha fatto capire davvero tante cose,
stupendo veramente.

Non è quel termine paradigmatico e profondo, indubbiamente prezioso e positivo ma tuttavia al fondo ancora banale.

Dura forse qualche minuto, così fuori dal tempo, così fugace ma eterna abbastanza per richiamarti indietro a sé a distanza di anni. È fatta di niente questa felicità, di un benessere senza desideri che non richiede né cambiamenti né intensificazione.

Hermann Hesse’ye ait bir kitap görünce akan sular duruyor benim için. Sonuçta “Knulp”, “Narziss ve Goldmund” gibi muhteşem eserleri kaleme almış bir yazar. Kitap fuarında Hesse’nin “Mutluluk” kitabını görünce de aynı his uyandı bende ve kitabın arka yazısına bile bakmadan aldım. Eve gitmeyi bekleyemeden dönüş yolunda birkaç sayfa okudum. Her satırı mı keyif verir… Kitap hem öykü hem deneme; hem anı hem günlük. Yani bu kitapta ne ararsan var. Hesse birçok konuya o kendine has üslubu ile kısa kısa değinmiş bu eserinde. Bunları bilerek okumak kitaptan alacağınız keyfi arttırabilir. Hesse’nin dünyasını ve dünyaya/olaylara bakış açısını daha yakından tanımak isteyenler; bu kitap size göre. Keyifli okumalar.
