This was the first book that I had actually ordered COD (I remember that it came with a talisman as well) that was in a comic book. The ad looked spooky and as a kid at the age of 7, it hit all the right elements that I appealed to me at the time. I had enclosed my $1.00 and ordered it COD; my plan was to wait until it arrived, and sort of "pressure" my grand mother into buying it.
When the package arrived, I lied and said that I did not know anything about it.
Decades later, I find the spooky-dripping lettering against a purple background on an image search. Now I have it FINALLY!! I always wondered how different my life would have ended up if I had started the Path at such a young age...

The book is very cheesy, a product of the times (the authors trying desperately to sound 'mod' and hip), yet it contains important elemental exercises and rituals, that if performed, is supposed to cause you to experience "Magick".
You will have to try them yourselves to see it you discover anything, but at the very least, it works very well as a positive attitude handbook, and the lessons learned could certainly be useful.

This is not the first book that I have read by the Frost's, but so far, it is my favorite.

I am reading the book again, and while there are some various good exercises and concepts, the Frosts' attempts of gaining power and influence over people by "acting angry when you do not get your way", is douchy at best. This will work if you are a child, spoiled rich and/or a celebrity and/or politician. Still, even the worst of the suggestion in this book will technically "work", but that does not mean that one should use some of them. Just trust yourself to see what feels right, use a healthy does of skepticism and judgement.

Like many I joined the Church and School of Wicca years ago, after seeing an ad in a magazine. I took the correspondence course for about six months, but left not feeling particularly enlightened. The book, as I remember was decent, though I have long since parted with my copy. I note there is a revised edition which I may have to check out soon.

Love it for sentimental reasons - had my grandmother buy this for me, from an ad in the back of a magazine. Came with a magical charm that has sadly long-since disappeared.

Very elemental. This was almost like an art book for spiritual guidance. Basics and logic prevail this book but there was not enough new nor any perspectives I found very helpful.
