The BEST book. It is actually relationships. Real book. Nr.1.

well. a) the bible is not written by 'anonymous'.
b) this 'new' translation was not as new as i expected, and definitely the opposite of inclusive translation. the exclusiveness will probably give rise to more and more fundamentalism (as if there were ever too little of it).
c) the OT poetry translations were...interesting. to some extent they prove the hypothesis i've had for some time, namely, in spite of excellent poetic tradition, the people who do the real translation have a very warped sense of the poetic in latvian. well, nothing doing.
on the whole, not bad at all. i did enjoy the lack of periphrases and verbal convolutions that pagued the 1965 translation.
