It generally well- written. There are many aspects in our life where we feel like a doormat. "The perfect bitch" explains that we don't have to be people pleasers and learn to put ourselves first for once. I like that she included real life scenarios to show us what a people pleaser would do, what a whiny complainer would do and what the perfect bitch would do .
I have had problems with my self-esteem and I know it has affected my life just as the author describes in this book. As the title say it is good to be a little bit of a bitch. I feel for the most part that I do get walked all over at work and in my personal life, so I decided to take a shot with the methods in this book.
The author goes into great detail outlining how I pretty let everyone have their way with me, but now it was time for me to get my life back together. I have noticed an improvement in the way I am treated after just a few days of using some of the techniques laid out in this book.
I seem to command a lot more respect after letting my inner bitch out and I can’t really expect much more than that. I have pretty much used most of the ideas discussed in the book and I see no reason why everyone can’t put these to use for the betterment of your life.
This book is recommended to everyone to read, if you want or are trying to get your life in order. You will learn how to have a new much better life in just a few short steps. Self-esteem issues now more!
Some interesting ideas to find a balance between being a total bitch and a doormat. One thing I didn't care for was the advice about how a conflict between someone's young adult child and a college educator should be resolved. By the time someone enters college ( normal about 18 years old )they should be able to interact with the instructors on their own. While a parent could sit in on a discussion they have concerns about, that parent should understand that it's their young adult child's turn to step up to learn how to solve their own problems.
