Disclaimer: I received this book free of charge in exchange for reviewing it.

A good editor could have turned this 3 star book into something truly amazing.
I did enjoy the storyline and loved the ending but the constant typos were very annoying.

The concept is interesting, and it's actually rather alarming how easily the antagonist pulls off what he does because it's completely plausible in the real world of today for someone to do exactly what he did. For that alone, it's worth the read.

However, the writing is sometimes very juvenile, and the attempt at character buildup is poor. Honestly, there is no character development, but the author should get a gold star for trying. The attempts to develop the characters is designed to draw up an extremely sympathetic emotional response in one instance and, for the very ending of the novel, shock.

The problem is that, because the writing is inconsistent in reminding the reader who all of the major players actually are, the ending forces you to flip back to the start so you can remember who the final person on the page actually is. Once you remember, though, it's very shocking. No sarcasm there. It is a heart skipping moment.

Read it. It's short and worth the few hours if for no other reason than to make you think.

I read this book in two sittings because it was so hard to put down. After I was finished I couldn't get to sleep as I went through a ton of different emotions from surprised to mad and then eventually just excited that I had just experienced a book that left me with impression that the author was both clever and bold. Loved the book. Loved the twists. Read this book - you will not be disappointed.

I absolutely loved this book. I'm not going to give anything away, but there is a huge shock at the ending that exceeded my expectations of a thriller. The research is well done but not overused and the characters are very well developed. I hope this author releases dozens of books! I'll read every single one. Thank you for a very entertaining ride.

This book is such a refreshing change of pace! An imaginative story line, in-depth characters and a suprise ending that will knock your socks off! For me, the middle was a bit slow, but still quite engaging. I would recommend this book for anyone looking for something above and beyond the 'average' who-dunnit.

Unfortunate ending

The whole story started to fall apart towards the end. Stories are now becoming more predictable build up characters until the required number of words are written then shock the readers with the ending. Unfortunately it’s getting more the standard in these medical type mysteries.

This book captured my attention right away. We are first introduced to Joseph, a brilliant doctor, who feels that he is smarter than everyone and undervalued and under-appreciated. He wanted to show America how they should appreciate him more and what he could do by tainting the blood supply with a lethal virus. One that was so rare that it could not be traced. Joseph was truly brilliant.

The president puts together a task force with Dr. Carlson at the head. He hand picks his team members and together, they fight to find this virus that is killing people and to find the commonality. Victim by victim keeps showing up and a pattern develops. Now it is a race to find a way to test for the virus before anymore bodies show up.

The characters were well developed and it was a joy to get to know each of them. I enjoyed the suspense of the storyline and found myself hoping that they would crack the case soon. I love the path that Singleton took us and each of her characters down. The tragedy, the hope and the twists. The ending came as an absolute shock and I can't wait to see what happens in book 2.

I honestly can't remember how I stumbled across this book, but I am so glad that I did. The story that the author weaved together was absolutely terrifying and fascinating, and it is not often that a book can scare me. I loved that the readers were introduced to the killer, the doctors investigating the virus, and many of the patients. But even with all of those stories intermingling, the plot flowed very well and all of the characters seemed well-developed. Be warned: this is one of those books that will keep you up late at night because you cannot put it down. I am excited to start on the next book in the series...I am sure that I won't be disappointed!

I can't remember the last time a book rattled me to my core (in a good way) like Do No Harm did! Whew! I couldn't put it down until I found out what was causing the mysterious illnesses and boy, was I shocked!!

Well paced, entertainment.
Plausible story line.
Isaac, as the leading character will be great to follow if he keeps to this style.
