Good collection, with good translators. I enjoyed seeing poems from authors one doesn’t often see: Bialik, George Faludy, Behcet Necatigal, Alfonsina Stormi. Also many poets from ancient and indigenous cultures. Modern Australia and Japan. You just have to ignore the rather simple-minded, conservative, useless introductions to each selection..

Terrible collection. Fatalistic, discouraging, depressing. Many are about war or hate or futility and hopelessness. Not what I was expecting at all and headed straight to my giveaway box.
