It should have been simple… but then it became complicated… and then it became dangerous.
Poole stopped at an estate to check on the security installation. The side trip on his way toward his vacation destination was supposed to be simple .
Then he met the electrician installing the system. Then he found her fascinating. Then he wanted to get to know her more. Then he spent the night with her when a sudden storm approached. Then he wanted to see her again when they parted ways. Yep… complicated .
She ended up in the wrong place at the wrong time and now has a target on her back. Yep... dangerous .
But somewhere along the way, he fell for the beautiful electrician.
He wants to keep the sparks flying but only if he can save her first.
Lighthouse Security Investigations The security and investigation company is filled with handpicked men and women from the SEALs, Rangers, Special Forces, Deltas, and Air Force Special Ops. As an Award Winning and International Amazon, Barnes & Noble, and Kobo Best Selling Author, I have always been an avid reader. I joke that I "cut my romance teeth" on the old historical romance books. I’ve written as a hobby for over 30 years. In 2014, I finally gave in to the characters in my head pleading for their story to be told. Thus, Emma's Home was created.
My first novel, Emma's Home became an Amazon Best Seller in 3 categories within the first month of publishing. Its success was followed by the rest of the Fairfield Series and then led into the Love's Series. From there I have continued with the romantic suspense Alvarez Security Series and now the Saints Protection & Investigation Series.
My books are filled with sweet romance and hot sex; mystery, suspense, real life characters and situations. My heroes are alphas, take charge men who love the strong, independent women they fall in love with. I worked as a counselor in a high school and have been involved in education for the past 30 years. I recently retired and now can spend more time devoted to my writing.
I have been married to a wonderfully patient man for 35 years and have 2 adult, very supportive daughters. When writing, my dog or one of my cats will usually be found in my lap!
Poole & Tricia!!! They're quite a fun whirlwind couple! Their romance takes place in the span of a couple weeks, but they're together on page nearly that whole time. It makes it easy to fall in love with them and their connection.
The suspense portion is done so very well! Tricia helps an unexpected LSI mission in an unexpected way, and I love Poole's protective but not stifling reaction to that help. She is BA & I adore her. She & Poole fit seamlessly together & they both are quick to want to spend more time together.
I also enjoyed the advice & help they both get from other Keepers!!
This is book seven in The Lighthouse Security Investigations West Coast series and it is Poole and Tricia’s story and omg it is definitely a must read. Poole is a former navy seal but now works for LSIWC as one of it’s keepers and Poole was looking forward to his week off but on the way he was stopping off to check on a security system that had been put in as the property will soon be occupied. Tricia is an electrician and good at her job but annoyed that she is now having to redo someone else’s mess. When Poole and Tricia meet there was a definite attraction between them and they ended up spending some time together and just when they were going to leave a severe storm hit stranding them in the house together but the next morning armed men arrived and they realised that they were in danger so they locked themselves in the safe room so they could wait for the men to leave before they are discovered. The attraction and chemistry between Poole and Tricia was strong and there connection was so unique and they felt like they had known each other for a long time instead of a few days and wanted to carry on seeing each other to see where it goes but now danger has returned and is watching and waiting for the right time to strike and Tricia is the one with a target on her back but will they be able to eliminate the threat in time before it takes away Poole and Tricia’s happiness and future that they both deserve. Wow this series just gets better and better with each book that is written and the twists and turns along with the action will have you on the edge of your seat while turning the pages wondering what the outcome will be for them all. Maryann Jordan is an amazing author and writer and she always knows how to keep her readers attention while they are reading her books and I can’t wait to read the next book in this amazing series.
Oh dear lord Maryann Jordan has knocked it out of the park with this spellbinding read, she was already brilliant to begin with but has surpassed herself with Poole’s story.
I have loved each and every LSI story, from Mace to Carson they are all wonderful and addictive reads, but Poole brings an extra something to the table that instantly speaks to your heart.
Poole is a larger than life character.. he’s confident, strong willed, an alpha male without a doubt, but he’s also a good man deep down to his core, his support and commitment to those he loves is unshakeable, whether that be his fellow keepers or the woman who is becoming his world.
Watching the way in which he does everything to protect Tricia, whilst also allowing her to be the strong person she is. There’s nothing more beautiful than a man who stands beside the woman he loves without putting conditions on that emotion.
Tricia is a beautiful woman down to her very soul. She is strong and capable. It’s awe inspiring to watch how successful she is in her chosen profession, how confident and knowledgable she is in her abilities.
Despite her strength and independence she has the fortitude to understand that when danger is near Poole is more experienced and follows his lead. She’s a woman confident in herself and that is beautiful to see.
It was spellbinding to watch the instant bond between Poole and Tricia. Can you imagine how indescribable it would be to find your soulmate and have the chance for a life you’ve always dreamt of? This story portrayed that with such a beautiful depth and emotion.
Maryann Jordan, Thankyou so much for this beautiful, heartfelt and unforgettable read.
A Vegas vacation, an idyllic tryst in the middle of the desert, a drug cartel, a kidnapping and a murder all play a part in this wonderful romance, Poole, by Maryann Jordan. The latest in her Lighthouse Security Investigations West Coast series. Frederick Poole and Tricia Burrows have lots in common. They grew up in loving homes with supportive nurturing parents and have both lost a sibling. A quick detour to inspect a security installation project of his while enroute to a gltzy Vegas vacation has Frederick Poole meeting the woman that is destined to be his HEA. His surprise at the electrician doing the installation work is a woman gets them off to a bit of a rocky start. Tricia is a talented electrician with a diverse background and more than capable of completing the project. Her sassiness, quick wit and natural beauty draw in Poole like a moth to a flame. A walk through of the completed project leads to an impromptu overnight visit with lots of sparks flying. Then a close call with members of a cartel has Poole in über protective mode and Tricia putting herself at risk. A safe escape has them both wanting to explore their growing feelings. Unfortunately, danger comes calling for Tricia and the LSIWC team rallies to get Poole's woman to safety and assist in taking down the bad guys.
We are back in the West Coast with another entertaining story in the series. Frederick Poole was gifted a week in Vegas and plans to drive there and enjoy his time off. Knowing he would be driving by a property they had done the security installation and needed it to be signed off by the electrician, he offers to make the stop. What was to be a simple stop becomes more than that. There he meets Patricia/Trish, the electrician that is doing a thorough inspection and repairs in the mansion after her boss apparently did a substandard job. What neither expected , was the immediate attraction. As they spend time in the mansion and later get stuck during a storm, things get heated until a group of suspicious men with bodyguards, meet at the house. During the whole process of working on the mansion, the name of the owners has been unknown but after Poole sends his peers pictures of the men, it’s obvious they might be dealing with a cartel. From the start, the story was engaging, entertaining and filled with action and romance. The main characters are well developed and In this latest addition to the series, we also get to visit with previous characters. I was entrusted a copy of this book. The opinions expressed are solely my own.
Another wonderful story from the LSI -WC series. A few years ago Poole would have relished the holiday in Las Vegas that has been gifted to him but now he can’t really summon up any enthusiasm is relatively unexcited, surrounded by his fellow keepers who have found their partners Poole can’t see a happily ever after in the future for him but feels he has a pang for what they have. Detouring on the way to Vegas to check a security system in a house he comes across the electrician working on it. Talented electrician Trish knows her worth and the attraction between the two of them flares immediately. When a storm strands them at the house they spend the night together. Plenty of suspense when Poole and Trish find themselves in the wrong place at the wrong time and events unfold that place Trish in danger and place LSI on a mission to save her and take down the threat. Loved Trish, strong, talented and comfortable in her own skin, she and Poole are perfectly matched and their romance is intense but oh so satisfying to read. Loved the plot and premise of this story, excellently written, recommend you read it! I received an arc from the author and I am voluntarily leaving my honest review.
I absolutely love the Lighthouse Security Investigations West Coast series, but Poole is now my favorite book in the series. Poole has been a supporting character but to have him get his HEA was quite entertaining. Poole heads out for his Las Vegas getaway but ends up making a stop where he meets the electrician Tricia, needless to say he wasn't expecting it to be a woman so there first interaction is quite the interesting exchange. From there the adventure begins, with some surprising twists. I especially enjoyed when Tricia made a suggestion to help but Poole wasn't keen on the idea. As Poole and Tricia try to figure out what's developing between them, Tricia finds herself in danger. Poole and the LSIWC team need to rescue her. I love how this group of investigators come together when someone that one of their own cares about is in trouble. The banter and support between this group is awesome. Will they save Tricia in time so her and Poole can get their HEA. Maryann Jordan has delivered another exciting page turner that once you start reading you won't be able to put down as you want to find out what's going to happen next. I look forward to the next book in the series, as each one seems to be better than the previous one. I received an ARC of this book.
Another fantastic book from Maryann Jordan. Poole (Lighthouse Security Investigations - West Coast, Book 7) is the story of Poole and Patricia (AKA Tricia). Tricia is a beautiful woman working in a man’s world and nailing it perfectly. Poole meets Tricia when doing a quick inspection of a mansion that Lighthouse Security Investigation - West Coast has designed, and is needing to sign off on. He is heading to Vegas for some time off and the mansion is on his way. Poole is impressed when he meets Tricia, the electrician, installing the system. As they do a walk through of the mansion, Poole immediately knows that the owners of this mansion are up to no good. Poole and Tricia are instantly attracted to each other. A fast approaching storm has them taking shelter and spending the night in the mansion. Poole’s story has great character development. You get to see their relationship grow into something beautiful, and there is also drama and action. Poole’s story has you on the edge of your seat from beginning to end. As this is book 7 in the series, the characters from the previous books are right there helping Poole and Tricia get to safety. Their story is perfect. This really is a must read. I received an ARC copy, and I am voluntarily leaving my honest review.
Poole is headed for a vacation in Vegas when he stops to check on a property he'd designed a security system for. There, he meets the beautiful electrician and feels an instant attraction. They spend the day together, sharing stories of their lives and falling quickly for each other. When a storm rolls in, they spend the night in the empty house, only to be awakened by the bad guys. Tricia shows how courageous she is by coming up with the plan to crawl through the walls to try to overhear their conversation. She's the perfect partner for a Keeper.
Eventually, Poole continues on with his vacation, but is miserable, unable to forget the enigmatic electrician. Unable to resist her pull, he leaves Vegas and spends the rest of his time off with her. After he returns to work and she goes missing, he uses his team and all his resources to find her.
I love the dynamic between Poole and Tricia. She's a woman in a man's world and owns it. She's smart and brave and is the perfect match for Poole. This is a fun read where two strangers meet, feel a connection, and, through a forced proximity situation, grow their relationship perfectly.
Needing some down time Poole accepts the gift of an expenses paid holiday in Vegas. It might not be his cup of tea, but he’ll make the best of it. He’s just got one wee job to do on the way checking out a security system that should have been signed off months ago. Tricia knows she the best at what she does, it’s just proving it in a male dominated profession. Still just this one last job and she’s determined to move on and join her dad’s business. Tricia is the last thing Poole expects when he makes his stop. However, he soon comes to realise she know her stuff. They both think things about the house and surroundings are a bit hinky, but it’s not until they are stranded there that they find out how right they are. I really enjoyed this one from Maryann. It was nice to get a hero who was not all hard abs, six pack and macho. It was great when Poole didn’t hide his softer side, and backed Tricia even when he didn’t want to. Tricia was certainly not weak, and proved her mettle not once but twice. If you love a strong but teddy bear hero and spunky heroine, then this is a must read.
Poole is the seventh book in the Lighthouse Security Investigations: West Coast series by Maryann Jordan... Okay, so if you’re into romantic suspense with a big dose of action, loyalty, and swoon-worthy heroes, then this series is basically like binge-watching your favorite action-drama TV show … but in book form. Maryann Jordan gives us a crew of ex-SEALs, Rangers, Special Forces, and other elite badasses who now run a top-tier security and investigations company on the West Coast. Each book focuses in on a different team member, so you get a fresh romance with each separate instalment, but with the same tight-knit “found family” vibe running through the whole collection. With plenty of danger, mystery, and high-stakes missions - mixed with tender, slow-burn (or sometimes fast-burn) romance/s. And the chemistry between the couples feels natural, while the banter is fun without being too cheesy. It’s the kind of series where you finish one book and immediately want to jump into the next. And honestly, the mix of adrenaline and heart makes it quite addictive. Happy Reading…
Here we are for another visit to the Lighthouse West Coast Team, catching up with the keepers is always a blast!!
Frederick Poole meets Patricia when he stops in at a security installation which he designed, and Tricia is the electrician working on the installation. I always love heroines who are working in what are perceived as typically male jobs and Tricia is one of the best at what she does! Poole is immediately smitten and there is a good smattering of mutual insta attraction here which is always fun to read and before long they have established a bond based on past experiences, however, before too long they are dragged into witnessing, crime, drug running and cartel business.
Cue the Keepers, who know just what is needed to get Trica, safe and settled. This is a great read, with good characters, excitement and a believable HEA!.
I love Maryann’s characters; they are always multi-dimensional with both flaws and strengths they picked up along the way! I really enjoyed this one!
I was given a free ARC copy, and this is my honest review willingly given
So happy to be back with another couple with LSI West Coast! I loved each book in this series and enjoy that they can all be read as standalones.
Poole is ready for a vacation in Vegas but has a quick stop to make beforehand. While checking up on an security install project, he gets a pleasant surprise on who the electrician is. Tricia loves her occupation but isn't happy with her current employer. While finishing up her current install, she meets Poole and the sparks fly right away. They both challenge each other intellectually. What happens when they discover those sparks but also wind up in the middle of danger?
What I love about a Maryann Jordan book is how thoroughly she develops her characters. No matter if a relationship develops the course of several months or just a few days, you truly feel their connection growing. Poole and Tricia were another great addition to LSIWC. 5 Stars!
Another incredible book from Maryann Jordan! The story of Tricia and Poole, who meet buy accident and certainly strayed their relations with a bang!! Tricia is a strong woman who works in a male dominated occupation, she is adamant to hold her own when a situation arises. Tricia is spirited, strong and brave but is also sensitive, didn’t hide her true emotions! Poole is the ever protective keeper, but allows Tricia to be whom she needs to be but he has her back in a way that doesn’t diminish her true worth. It’s a fast paced story that had you enthralled and I truly loved the angst that comes from nefarious characters! Seeing the other keepers, brings you the warmth of friendship and family.
I love how descriptive Maryann was with the beginnings chapters and it has you seeing this clearly in your mind, when you read it you will know Loved this Maryann thank you for the opportunity of reading the ARC!
So far I adore all books written by this author and Poole is no exception! It combines romance, suspense, a bit of mystery and some humor…
“Heat seared her face. God, could I be more of a doofus?”
Frederick Poole is on his way to Vegas for vacation but his plans become sidelined when he stops to check out a job site and discovers an electrician still at work there. He is drawn to her right away and when she ends up noticed by some really bad guys, Poole and the West Coast “Keepers” are there to help.
“I didn’t say it’d be easy for either of you. But she’ll realize she now has a whole team in her corner. And you’ll realize that you’ll be even stronger with her by your side.”
Tricia is an amazing heroine. She is strong and resourceful and doesn’t hesitate to do what needs to be done when her and spooks end up in a tight situation. I love this story and can’t wait to read more LSIWC stories!! -5 Stars!-
Frederick Poole as seen a lot of his team mates fall for women but he knows that will never happen to him but as we all know any Keeper that says is guaranteed to be the next one to fall and Poole falls hard. On his way to a Las Vegas vacation he agrees to call in and check on a security system job that they have qualms about What he doesn't expect is a tiny electrician that knocks his socks off. When things start to go haywire while they are checking out the job it is Tricia that gives the FBI and DEA the lead they need. Soon the feelings between Poole and Trucia are taking off and he has no hesitation in leaving his vacation early to spend time with her. What no ones knows is that her help on the desert job is about to come back and bite her and that it will take the keepers and her own smarts to keep her safe. Looking forward to Adam the next LSIWC member to get his HEA.
MaryAnn has done it again. Another Keeper meets his match. Poole is our latest Keeper who may find his HEA in a unique way. Our heroine Tricia is not only a master electrician but also an expert in installing security systems. Due to some recent changes at LSIWC Poole ends up using a few days off in Vegas however he stops to check up on a recent security system that he designed. Tricia is at the location and for various reasons is also checking on the systems. Meeting each other at first seems to be contentious but things change. Let’s just say that the estate that is being worked on isn’t all it’s supposed to be. You will be surprised by the outcome and yes we have some bad guys we’re just not sure who they are in the beginning. Will Poole and Tricia find happiness spend time with them and you’ll get your answer.
Poole has always been a supporting character but now we get to see him as the main character. I always try to picture what kind of woman will grab the attention of these alpha keepers. Let me tell you Patricia "Tricia" so doesn't disappoint. I personally love when the female lead has a profession that is not the typical female career. So, what a surprise when she ends up being the electrician that Poole is muttering under his breathe about. It is so awesome to watch the two of them pull the other out of their shell. The things that they had in common was surprising and amazing. What is even funnier is that underlying danger is not something that is expected or predicted. Watching them get through all the ups and downs was like watching a good friend go through it. Another great story from Maryann.
Frederick Poole, just Poole to his friends, is a retired Navy SEAL, who now works for Lighthouse Security Investigations - West Coast. Part of his job is designing intricate, complex security systems for rich clients. On his way to his Las Vegas vacation, Poole takes a detour to check on a security job that is late. At the "compound" he finds Tricia Burrows, a smart, well educated and experienced electrician fixing her bosses' mess. Timing is very important, and in this case, Poole and Tricia meeting is perfect timing. However, thanks to electrical hail storms, cartels, her sleazy boss and other inconvenient misadventures what should have been smooth sailing for our loving couple becomes complex and dangerous. But, Poole is intrepid and determined and Tricia is courageous and insistent. Together they are perfect.
Another keeper and I’m not just talking about Tricia, the master electrician that Poole has fallen for. The two meet when Poole stops off at a house he designed security for on his way to Vegas for a vacation. He finds Tricia in the house finishing up and the two hit it off and decide to stay for a bit and enjoy their surroundings. When morning comes, surprise visitors and suspicious activities has Poole’s guard up. After the two leave the estate, they both decide they want more than a night together. But it all comes back to haunt Tricia when someone finds out she was in the wrong place at the wrong time. A great read with suspense, steam and amazing characters. I loved the no drama, the strong heroine Tricia and Poole, who isn’t intimidated by her and treats her right. The story flowed nicely and didn’t skip a beat, a page turner from beginning to end.
Poole is a trained operative, he runs into danger. Tricia is an electrician, it seems like a safe career. And yet that career is more dangerous than it looks. Poole has watched his fellow Keepers meet the women of their dreams but he’s sure that won’t happen to him, until it does.
The Lighthouse Security Investigations West Coast is an amazing series and this book is no exception. Ms Jordan weaves a story with believable characters, lots of emotion and a plot that keeps you on the edge of your seat, knowing there will be danger but not sure in what form it will arrive.
Watching Poole and Tricia navigate the danger with bravery and love lets the reader get involved with their lives and leaves them happy in the knowledge that there is another book in the series to follow.
POOLE by Maryann Jordan is the seventh in her Lighthouse Security Investigations West Coast series. Frederick Poole, or just Poole to his friends, is heading to Las Vegas for a much needed vacation when his boss asks him to stop to check on the installation of a custom security system they designed for a high-end client. When he finds Patricia Burrows, the expert electrician is not anything he was expecting, but Tricia turns out to be exactly who he didn’t know he was looking for all along.
Poole and Tricia spend an unconventional day together, and Maryann Jordan writes their building interest and connection warmly and believably. Their chemistry builds quickly, and their at-first-sight immediacy is fun to read. When danger arrives, these two are ready, with the rest of the LSIWC team at their sides. A terrific addition to this entertaining series.
I adore this story. Fredrick Pool is headed to Vegas. Why not? It’s a free trip. This LSIWC investigator could use a little down time. Just as soon as he checks on a security installation on his way. He just didn’t expect to meet the gorgeous electrician. Sparks fly as wild as the untamed storm outside the mansion. A sleepover he could never forget. But as the morning light appears things become quite clear. Poole and Tricia are in danger and they just might need a little help for the LSIWC team to unravel the mystery.
I enjoy the way Poole and Tricia form a relationship and work together as a team…. I think this might be my new favorite! Well? Until the next one…..
*I voluntarily read an advanced copy and expressed my honest opinion*
Maryann Jordan did it again. Poole is a wonderful addition to the Lighthouse West Coast series. This is the book that you are looking for if you need a sexy, suspenseful happily ever after. Poole and Trish are great together. Even thought their relationship moves quickly, Poole designed a security system, and he so’s to check in the progress since the electrician never signed off in it what he wasn’t expecting was to meet Trish that day. He is drawn to her spark and her intelligence. They learn that they work well together when danger comes their way. Can they make it work, or was their day together a one time thing? I couldn’t put the book down. The interaction between the characters and the team is awesome.
I absolutely loved Poole, the next in the LSIWC series, and it has become my favorite book in the series. Fredrick Poole is headed for a week long vacation but stops at a job site to see what is happening with the security installation. While there he meets the electrician, Tricia Burrows, and the chemistry between the two is off the charts! They end up spending the day and night together in the house due to weather and I am sure you know what happens. Trouble ensures before the couple get their happy ever after but it will keep your attention until the end. Looking forward to Adam and learning about his sister and the impact it has had on him. I received an authors copy and I have left an honest review.
I absolutely loved reading Poole . It's a sensational suspense romance . Frederick Poole works for Lighthouse Security Investigation West Coast . Poole received a gift certificate for a five day Vegas holiday . It's not really his cup of tea but he's decided to go anyway . Before he goes he decided to stop at a house he designed a security system for to see what's been taking the completion so long . Upon arriving at the home that's definitely more of a compound Poole meets the beautiful electrician Patricia Burrows . Both are immediately attracted to one another . Patricia shows Poole around and they soon imbark on quite a adventure till danger comes . This story is so well written and the characters are wonderful . I love the light house security stories . I highly recommend taking the time to read .
Outstanding story! Poole is a LSI- WC teammate who does security plans. He is headed to Vegas on vacation, but stops to check on a job site that is way past completion. Tricia is an electrician who is on site. They spend the day discussing the house and their background and getting to know each other. A sudden advancing storm traps them in the house. The owners show up but not exactly who they were expecting. They decide to shelter in place and wait till they leave to go on their way. Tricia heads back to her life and Poole heads to Vegas. They stay in touch but not everything is as it should be. Soon danger and suspense occurs. Poole needs assistance in resolving their dilemma and the WC keepers are ready to assist him. Great characters, amazing story and love these Keepers. 5+ stars.
Batten down the hatches, get ready for the storm of the lifetime. Can unplanned events between strangers lead to love?
Poole, former Navy SEAL, on his way to vacation he really didn't plan. stopped to check on a job & met a woman he really hadn't planned on meeting.
Tricia, electrician, working in the desert to finish a job her boss couldn't do. Ready to move on, back to the family business. Meets up with a security expert out of the blue. So many things in common. Only to get stuck in a brand new home of a stranger, when a major storm blows through.
Once the storm passes, will their connection stay alive when they part ways? When Tricia needs help when trouble comes knocking, can Poole get to her in time?
Poole and Tricia's story was full of sweet moments as life showed them unexpected adventures can lead you exactly where you belong. Tricia was an independent woman in an typically male dominanted profession (go Tricia! from a woman who is often the only woman or one of only a handful of women on my jobs) with an outgoing personality who instantly captivated and fascinated Poole. A woman who refuses to stand on the sidelines, she helped Poole and LSI out when they stumbled into some shady happenings, but unfortunately that came back to haunt when their calm courtship is interrupted by dangerous repercussions...but again she refuses to stand on the sidelines! No worries, LSI helps save the day and their HEA.
Poole and Tricia are a match made in heaven, star's exploding when they lay eyes on each other, working at a fancy custom built compound in the desert, she's finishing up the job hired to do and he's checking on the job being done, questions and concerns, freak weather storms keep them in place for the night, they say the bigger they are the harder they fall, and did he ever fall for the beautiful electrician, and nothing good comes easy, true for Poole and Tricia also, Holy hotness this book was riveting from beginning to the end, Maryann Jordan has done it again, I absolutely love this book, I have voluntarily read and review this ARC, thank you for the privilege, Dana Zamora
