CHANNELERS: Out of Endra

Rate this book
**For fans of Divergent and Mass Effect**

Astrid Hale is a Channeler. One of few humans with the innate talent to sense and transform energy. But in the emotionally unstable or unruly, it is a volatile, involuntary compulsion. Deemed too dangerous to live among mundane “Statics”, Astrid and others of her kind are restricted to isolation facilities known as Sanctuaries. Trained to suppress their nature, they are not permitted contact with the outside. And they can never leave.

Until mysterious men in uniform come to Sanctuary Endra to request the aid of its most disciplined Channeler for a perilous mission. Now, everything Astrid does bears the burden of lasting influence on her people. She may pave the way for Channelers to rejoin society. But her newfound freedom affords her unprecedented abilities, and should they overwhelm her she condemns her people to exile forever.

Beset with ambitious allies, unfamiliar emotions, and violent opposition, Astrid is about to discover exactly why everyone feared what Channelers might grow capable of if pushed.

I always find myself in a better position to review a book when I actually read it.
So I did, firstly I would like to say this is the second Brit Knight book I have read and her style of writing doesn't spoon feed you everything at once and in this book you learn with the main character, who has spent her life quite isolated. It makes for a book and character that is constantly evolving, learning new things about the worlds she lives in and about herself. I found our main character Astrid very endearing and the struggles she faced are relatable despite being beyond the realms of what we feel is possible. While this book is of course sci-fi is has quite a fantasy feeling and overall was a book I truly enjoyed, I cannot wait to continue the rest of the series and urge you all to give it a go.

This was fantastic!!! Go with Astrid as she learns herself and the world around her after she’s been sheltered away from the rest of the world. This is a complex world and you can’t help but cheer Astrid on!!!!

Do you enjoy sci-fi, thrilling & suspenseful moments and video games? Then this book is for you.

We follow Astrid Hale, a human with a special talent to sense and transform energy, she is what is called a Channeler. Sentenced to a life within sanctuary Endra, Astrid is to live out the rest of her days hidden from the outside world, as her and her fellow Channelers are considered a danger to other humans (Statics).

Until one day, that all changes.

Astrid is faced with a difficult decision to leave the only life she’s ever known, and join Statics on a quest they need to fulfil with her help.

With zero knowledge of what the outside world holds—or what the Statics tend to do with her—Astrid sets out on a new adventure filled with thrilling suspense and danger.

This is the second book I have read by Brit Knight; and man, do they know how to take you on a ride.

Her way of storytelling and unique characters bring this book to life, I truly felt as though I were living inside every single moment. And yet again, I find myself attached to certain characters, heart broken, amazed and excited for more.

Knowing Knight is influenced by video game storytelling, it made the book all the more fun and adventurous, as though I were a player on the team living out Astrid’s adventure. Highly recommend this read! 🩷🩵

Attention Grabber

This story held my attention from start to finish. Like all good science fiction it carried aspects of current society and culture.
Although I really enjoyed n this book, and look forward to the next volume, I hope the author will better edit spelling and grammer.

Channelers effortlessly blends heart-pounding action with emotional depth, creating a truly immersive reading experience. The pacing is impeccable, keeping readers engaged from the start. The plot is filled with twists and turns, and the characters are both relatable and unforgettable. Channelers is a must-read for fans of sci-fi and those new to the genre. It's a testament to Knight's talent as a storyteller and a promising start to what is sure to be an epic series.

This is my second book from this author and it did not disappoint! I gobbled this book up all in one sitting. I absolutely love when a book grabs me by the ponytail and forces me to finish it. This is not my usual genre but the author does such a great of keeping it simple, but still very entertaining. I am stoked to tead the next book in this series.

I like futuristic books that propose what could happen if...
This one has a lot of excitement and action, plus a little bit of prejudice with those who don't like anyone who is different than they are. I rather enjoyed it.
