Actress Molly Picon has always been delightful. Her roots are in the Yiddish theater where she met her husband, Yonkel. She went on to Hollywood, Broadway, and television making her mark as a little Jewish lady that could do somersaults in her seventies! Her memoir is a fascinating look at all of her many accomplishments, but most importantly to Molly, was her 60+ year marriage to a man she genuinely loved. Unfortunately, Molly only wrote two books, but she had enough material to write several volumes. As an entertainer, Molly traveled the world, visiting war-torn Europe right after the Second World War. She eloquently described the devastation she found there, as well as the people who for the most part were only shadows of their former selves. Molly seemed at ease with the rich and famous just as well as the poor and downtrodden. She treated everyone equally--with kindness and respect. I really enjoyed reading her memoir and seeing the world through her eyes. And even more special when I opened the book, I found she had signed it! That makes it a keeper for sure!!!
