This is a book unlike any other of it's nature. The book is about Islam, but it takes you to a variety of subjects and issues at the same time. You do not have to read it all. But you may enjoy the facts, figures and ideas of one or more of the issues well put into this magazine looking book.
A few years back at my local county fair, a bundle of books about Islamic faith was being handed out and I've always wanted to educate myself on other religions just to be knowledgable/ not ignorant. So this is just one of many books to be read.
Not sure exactly what I was expecting, but based on the title, I would have liked more of an in depth explanations about well, "The Key to Understanding Islam," instead a statement would be made and a scripture that was meant to back the statement would be presented. For someone who is not familiar with Islam, that does nothing for me. Majority of the book is presented like that and maybe it would deserve a reread once getting more familiar.
There were a few passages out of the text where I did learn something new, but majority is: this happened or this is the way it is because Allah deemed it so. That type of approach does not really help (me) with understanding much. Its worth the read if you're able to obtain is freely as I did or if you're looking to convert. I personally do not think the contents included anything that you couldn't find elsewhere.
This book was definitely just trying to convert me, but it was certainly educational on all the contradictions Islam has to offer. Worth reading if you have it but not worth buying by any means, unfortunately. I was hoping this would be more scholarship than proselytism. 2.5-ish stars.
