Almost Free Money completely changed the way I look at everyday items. The book is packed with real, usable ideas for finding things most people overlook or throw away and turning them into profit. Almost Free Money resolves to educate you how to obtain extra cash. This read covers areas such as reselling on eBay or Amazon. It will inform you how to sell items that are already in your possession or that are easily obtained from places like yard sale, estate sales, even free stuff. Things you may not have even thought of. Eric Michael has done nice work putting this informative read together. It isn’t for those looking for a get rich quick idea; easy schemes like that rarely work anyway. But there are some good, practical ways to make money and they are easily achievable.

There’s a few actionable ideas in this book. It’s getting dated, and scrap metal operations aren’t what they used to be. However, it’s a good reminder that there’s gold (literally) in that junk.

I would say that it is a pretty good book overall
The reason that I gave it that rating is because it was full of typos. The typos were not bad enough to affect the reading quality but were quite annoying.

So many books give this impression that there is a way to make money with no effort. I guess it's the times we live in. People want hope and there are people willing to write anything to offer that hope.
That's not what this book is.
Eric Michael writes a book from a determined and experienced perspective. He has spent over a decade selling a wide variety of items on eBay, Amazon, other sites, locally. As someone who has focused on several single products, I always wondered how it was done in a more general way effectively.
If you wonder the same thing get this book. It's all about efficiency, and you get over a decade of experience from someone who knows exactly what to do with the next thing he finds around the corner.

I found this book an outstanding read on ways to find items at garage sales, discards, etc and make a great profit.

A decent enough book, just not suited to me. Maybe I'm too skeptical but scratching around in the woods for discarded electronic equipment seems far fetched. Also, I'm yet to find electronic equipment lying around in the woods. Maybe this book will work for certain people living in certain areas, but it doesn't help me.

Some good info
This book has some good info in it, it gave me some ideas. The only thing I didn't care for really was the amount of info on scrap metal. I found myself stuck and bored in scrap hell for way too long. It's not something I can do, so I didn't need that much info on it at the expense of other opportunities that were short changed in order to have room for scrap metal. I enjoyed the bit about coins and old media items and games. I enjoyed the info on how to go about eBay and Amazon selling. I'm going to look into the author's Etsy title, hoping it suits me more. If you're looking to recycle scrap, this title is for you!
