This was a short quick read that I like a lot. Tabitha swam out into the ocean and went a bit too far and a hot guy was on a paddleboard and saves her. Marcus saves her and she was taken with him He takes her to dinner and they talked. They both felt drawn to each other but Marcus was holding back for some reason. When he took her to her room she thought they might become intimate but he stopped and invited her to go sailing the next day. She agreed, When they got to the ship she saw it wasn't a sail boat but a huge yacht. He said sailing not in a sailboat. He told her he asked the crew to go somewhere where there was some whales. And she thought that was nice. They ended up in the cabin and he seemed to be teasing her so she talked to him about it. Turns out Marcus is a Dom and she had no clue about BDSM when they have sex it was hot. Tabitha gets in trouble when she touches herself. This book was well written with no errors in grammar or spelling. I am looking forward to reading the next book in this series.

A short, wonderfully erotic and pant worthy read by Malia Mallory. One that left me wanting much more of what would come of the lives of Tabitha and Marcus. Anyone that enjoys a quick and satisfying erotic read will find His Need, Her Desire very enjoyable :)
Tabitha is all set to go on a long awaited vacation to the beautiful Hawaii. All set to go and meet up with her good friend to have some fun in the sun in the sand only to be disappointed once she arrives and finds out her friend was unable to make it do to a family problem. Anxious and dumbfounded at her current situation she decides to stay and make the very best of her Hawaiian vacation while the getting is good.
Taking it all in stride she’s dead set on fully enjoying her time there and take advantage of all Hawaii has to offer. When things take a slight turn for the worst she finds herself one hunk of a man she only thought to have in her dreams. But what will come of her vacation tryst with the man that make her heart and other parts throb so?
I hope Malia decides to take this onto another story or two. I really enjoyed both characters and the chemistry between them.

His Need, Her Desire by Malia Mallory is definitely one steamy read! This is a short story that is jam packed with sexual tension, two people who like to mate like bunnies, emotional ups and downs and a surprise or two thrown in just for fun.
Tabitha is looking forward to meeting up with an old friend in Hawaii, only to be disappointed when her friend has to cancel due to a family emergency. She decides to make the best of it and have some fun.
Marcus Granger is in Hawaii on a business trip with his sister Monica. When Tabitha sees Mr. Gorgeous Guy with a very attractive woman, she's certain she can't compete with her. Tabitha is excited when she learns the woman is his sister.
While Tabitha is swimming in the ocean, she's caught by a rip tide and has trouble getting back to shore. A paddle boarder happens to be close to her, and rescues her. Tabitha isn't expecting Mr. Gorgeous Guy when she goes to thank the good Samaritan. Her body is immediately on high alert when their bodies touch.
Tabitha and Marcus spend a lot of time together, they have great chemistry. Tabitha can't believe she is acting the way she is when she's with Marcus. She's usually somewhat shy and insecure. Marcus makes her feel fantastic about herself and shows her lots of things she's never dream of doing. Tabitha is a very likable woman, everyone has their own insecurities, what's nice is, she has help with overcoming them.
Marcus is all alpha male, gorgeous, strong, confident, caring and fun. He thinks there might be something special between him and Tabitha, but before they can find out, he gets a phone call, and has to fly home ASAP. There's hardly any time for goodbyes.
His Need, Her Desire kept me turning the pages right from the beginning. Ms. Mallory's characters always have that great chemistry that makes them click right from the beginning whether they know it or not. There's not a lot of back story here, it's enough though for this book. Get ready for a long cold shower after reading His Need, Her Desire. The ending has me really wanting to get reading book 2, His Desire, Her Surrender.

I enjoyed this series by Malia Mallory and read all four of them in two days. I give the Series 5 stars. The characters were interesting and well thought out. The Story line kept me intrigued and wanting more.
The 1st book introduces us to Tabitha and Marcus. Tabitha is a lovable character who knows what she wants in life. Marcus the Gorgeous man she meets in Hawaii is rich and domineering This book is a great beginners introduction to spanking and light BDSM.
The 2nd book gave a deeper look into the Dom/Sub relationship and accepting a collar means in the lifestyle.Marcus shows up at Tabitha's job after disappearing in Hawaii and tells her they are not over. However events happen that lead Marcus to question Tabitha's loyalty which i thought was kind of absurd being he came after her not the other way around. I enjoyed how Tabitha's wonderful heart helped the outcome of their relationship.
In the 3rd book we meet Jonah the brother of Marcus and Anna a fellow colleague who has wanted him for years. I loved how in this book it was actually Anna that brought being Dominated to the table it was a nice change. While they are discovering each other in their new found relationship Break ins occur at their lab and Corporate espionage threaten more than just their relationship.
In the 4th book we meet Monica Granger and Ben Coron who is a member of the family who is a sworn enemy to the Granger’s. I thought this was a good book as It shows Monica's struggle through her feelings for Ben and the disappointment of being disowned by her family for Wanting to be with him. Its a race against time to stop the Corporate espionage against Granger Pharma and unite their family's I couldn't wait to see if this journey would bring them closer together or tear them apart
Overall, this series was rather enjoyable it has light BDSM, Romance, Suspense and drama which all combined to make one heck of a story!!

A quick read that left me wanting more and more. I didn’t know quite what to expect when I started this book except for some loving between some rich guy and a woman, but I knew that being a Malia Mallory read meant it was going to be good.
Marcus comes across as a classy, genuine guy, not a snobby rich guy or over the top dominant male which can really ruin a read and make it unenjoyable. He takes his time with Tabitha, making sure she knows what she is getting into beforehand and that she is comfortable. As for Tabitha, I liked her confidence within herself, and also her willingness to take a risk.
It was a big downer when Marcus had to get called away for business and the time between him and Tabitha had to come to an end. Things were just starting to get good and I wanted to keep reading! I am glad that there is a second installment of the pair; I cannot wait to read about what they get up to next.
In terms of the BDSM element, I would say it was a low level, so if you aren't into anything too intense in terms of BDSM then this may be a good one for you. I'd give this read a high three and a half stars, bordering on four stars.

Tabitha tacks a vacation to hawaii. She arrives to find out her friend bailed on her. Later on she spots this gorgeous guy and he keeps popping up until they actually meet. Then the sparks fly and things heat up in Hawaii for Tabitha. However Marcus doesn't know if she can give him what he needs.
If the title of the books didn't give it away... these two give it a shot. He needs to be in control, and she desires him and his dominace.

I didn't like how he kept having her guessing. She hasn't been into domination/submission and kink....and only knows anything from what she read or stories from her friends. They didn't talk about protection or use any. I'm all for sexy hot stories but a quick sentence or two doesn't hurt. Taking a line or two about grabbing a condom might not be sexy but it is practical now-a-days...
Other than that it was a hot quick Amazon freebie I enjoyed.

His Need Her Desire, written by Malia Mallory, is a short story about Tabitha Quinn who sets out on a Hawaiian vacation. While not expecting anything to happen other than the typical tourist type activities, Tabitha finds herself wrapped up in a whirlwind of emotions, unknown desires and none to typical sex with a billionaire businessman by the name of Marcus Granger.
Being the first in a series , His Need Her Desire sets the stage for a wonderful quick read that leads well into the second story by the name of His Desire Her Surrender. This particular story drew me in, gave plenty of detail to hold my interest and was something that I read from cover to cover in a half hour.

I rather enjoyed the Dominating series by Malia Mallory and read all four of them in one weekend. I gave the overall series a 3.5 instead of the 4 I was leaning towards on the kitty licking scale because the transitions between books and scenes were a bit clunky. Not enough to prevent me from reading because the story line was intriguing and the characters interesting and well thought out. The first book takes you on a journey in the tropics on the island of Oahu. I’ve been there twice so I felt the vibe that the author presented rather easily. Tabitha was an easy character to love. She was quirky, knew what she wanted in life but lacked a back story. I don’t think we learned anything about her life outside of her desire to find the right man for her and a couple office friends. Marcus the beautiful man she meets in Hawaii has a much richer tale aside from the fact that he’s stinking rich. He has a domineering nature that I found likeable and not overbearing. The romance is pretty hot and you find out about Marcus’s predilection towards dominance but not the full detail behind it until book 2.
Ah, book 2 I liked very much. Probably my favorite of the four. The author delved deeper into the art of dominating a submissive and “collaring” ones mate in a BDSM lifestyle. There’s a part in the book where the author goes through a collaring ceremony and I thought it was really intriguing and found myself getting a little emotional. You could feel the characters intensity and pure love during the ceremony. The plot thickened in this book but did leave you hanging a bit needing to read book 3 to get further knowledge about the Granger Pharma company takeover and some suspicious dangerous events that occur in this portion.
In book 3 we’re introduced to Jonah the brother of Marcus. He’s a wildly attractive, womanizing, work-a-holic research scientist. In this book he falls for a fellow colleague Anna who has been pining for him for years. They fall hard and fast and have some sexy times that definitely make the tale erotic. Break-in’s occur at their lab where company secrets are being stolen and sold to the highest bidder.
Book 4 brings the entire ball of wax together by starting from start to finish with the budding relationship of Monica Granger and her love interest Ben Coron a member of the Coron family a sworn enemy to the Granger clan. The two can’t help but fall for one another because the heart wants what the heart wants.
Overall, there was a lot going that I thought was intriguing, interesting to read and had me captivated. However, with that said, I would have given it a 4 closing in on a 4.5 if the plot had been fleshed out a bit more and more dominance as the title suggested. Although most of the characters are rich, they don’t act like they’re crazy rich or blatant with their money in any of the books. If you’re looking for a good series with a little dominance, some spanking, a little suspense this is the tale for you.

When Tabitha arrived, she learned Barbara couldn’t come so she decided to make the best of her trip solo. One near drowning experience later puts her in the arms of a gorgeous, rich stranger. They only have a few days together but their sexual relationship blossomed quickly. Marcus is always the gentleman but with a kinky dark side and Tabitha fell under his spell.
This novella showed how Tabitha and Marcus met but didn’t give much information on their backgrounds. All the reader really knows is that Marcus is a wealthy businessman (don’t know where he works and lives or what his job is) and Tabitha works in some type of office environment in New York City. There are lots of unanswered questions and the book ends on a cliffhanger. I would’ve preferred this novella be tacked on to the beginning of the first novel in the series since that book picks up exactly where this novella leaves off, if the excerpt in the back of the novella is any indication.
The story is told from Tabitha’s POV in third person. There aren’t any chapters but there are proper scene breaks so I was never confused throughout the book. It’s well-written but I did notice a few typos. I definitely want to read the rest of this series.

Who wouldn’t want to be swept off their feet by a gorgeous billionaire in the most romantic location in the world? Tabitha experienced all that and more in Malia Mallory’s HIS NEED, HER DESIRE. As a reader, I found myself contemplating two main things as I read this quick, steamy read:
1) Why are hot vacation flings something I’ve only read about? I purposely studied abroad in college with the hope that something like Tabitha’s experience would happen to me and all I came back with was an A in Greek Mythology and 5 extra pounds from all the carbs I gorged on - boo…
2) Either Tabitha is a saint or I’m a horrible, selfish person – because I would have expressed more anger at being stood up for a movie date than Tabitha showed after finding out that the trip she’d scrimped and saved for months for would be spent alone because her friend had a mysterious family emergency that she didn’t bother to elaborate on. Hmm, now that I think about it, maybe my selfish tendencies are why I never experienced that fling – but I digress.
Tabitha makes plans to vacation in Hawaii with a childhood friend only to arrive and find out that her friend won’t be able to come and she’ll be paying for the vacation on her own. So Tabitha the saint decides to make the best of her situation and explore beautiful Hawaii by herself. She keeps seeing a gorgeous man named Marcus and one day finds herself stuck in a rip tide, only to be saved by the dreamy paddleboarder. Thus begins an affair filled with undeniable chemistry.
HIS NEED, HER DESIRE flows smoothly and is well written. The BDSM aspect is light – more of an introductory course since Tabitha has never experimented with it before. While the story is erotica in nature I didn’t find myself caught up in the heat or the romance thus the 3 star rating. However I found this short story enjoyable and a quick, light read – and I would certainly not have complained if I’d met Marcus on one of my vacations as a single girl.

Marcus is a dominant that knows what he wants. He first encounters sweet sexy Tabitha after he rescues her from a near drowning. They explore their mutual attraction and he explains his desire for control...in the bedroom. Tabitha agrees and they begin their journey.
I won't give away too much but this seems to be an introduction to His Desire, Her Surrender (a title I plan on buying!). Tabitha is likable character. She is not too mousey or shy as a submissive but more ready to have Marcus guide her sexually. Marcus as a Dom is perfect. She describes him as a man everyone's attention is drawn to and I love that type of confidence in a Dom. He is charming, funny, likable and seductive. Sometimes when a Dom is described a certain way it makes him a jerk and I don't care much for those types (unless it's later revealed he's had a troubled past and just needs the right woman to love him, aww!) I enjoyed reading the scenes of them in and out of the bedroom so the author can write. I would recommend this to anyone looking to whet their appetite on a quick read. Contains mostly dominance and submission, some wax play and bondage.

Tabitha is meeting an old friend that she has grown out of touch with over the years. Only when she gets to Hawaii, where they are to meet for their week long escape, she finds that her friend is no longer going to be able to meet her. Deciding to make the most of her first time to Hawaii, she stays and explores on her own.
Marcus is a sexy man whom she runs across a couple times before he saves her when she drives too far into the ocean. He's dominant and doesn't want to just jump into a sexual relationship even though both of them are on vacation... because he's into BDSM and needs her to be okay with that.
It was a quick read that was pretty amusing. I did feel like some things were just dropped when no longer needed, like what actually happened to her friend? Did he just stop seeing his sister once he started spending time with Tabitha?
Also, I didn't feel like this should be labeled BDSM as they don't really do anything that I would classify as BDSM (binding wrists, blindfold and spanking were the only elements that came even close). I found the sex scenes to be almost dull with the language that was used and how quick they were since it was supposed to be a HOT read, I felt let down.
I don't know that I would pick up another book in this series, but I think I would give the author another try in a different piece of work.

Mallory has written a steamy erotic romance that fulfills many a woman's fantasy. A single girl's tropical vacation and a chance meeting with a handsome, wealthy man. As if that isn't enough, there's undeniable chemistry and fantastic kinky sex.
I enjoyed accompanying Tabitha on her dream vacay. Even before she meets Marcus, she has some pretty sexy scenes all on her own! Marcus is a perfect leading man. Handsome and a strong but caring Dom: a fantasy personified.
The story is well written, the characters engaging, and the sex scenes sizzling. This book is a great, quick read with kink that's not too kinky and a sweet and romantic HEA. I only wish I knew what happened to Tabitha and Marcus after the story ends...

I think I've mentioned this before but Malia Mallory seems incapable of writing bad erotic romance! And His Need, Her Desire is one hot bdsm story added to her his one great reads! I've been off bdsm genre for a while now, I think I read few bad ones that put me off - but Ms. Mallory turned that around and I read this and the sequel up in record time. Tabitha's story of finding love and a man who rocks her world is surprisingly sweet for such a blazing hot erotic romance!
Marcus was tall, dark, handsome and dominant in the bedroom package, I loved him outside the bedroom too, he had a sweet, caring and quirky side, but then again he did have that aloofness which will come knocking in the sequel!
Tabitha was funny from the get go, she was determined to make the best of this vacation she was abandoned to and finding a holiday fling sounded just right when Marcus came along, Marcus stating from the beginning that this was more gave her and me chills. Tabitha's journey to discovering she wants to submit to Marcus in the hotel suite was such a hotness factor!
The romance was there, with all the hot, real creative sex the romance was there to connect emotions to what they experimented in the bedroom. Of course something does happen, and I did have an inkling that Tabitha thought he wasn't serious and he wasn't about to give her up. Yummy ending! I so recommend you get both His Need, Her Desire and His Desire, Her Surrender so you can immediately read what happens next!

cover: I loved the cover, it really drew me to the book!
characters: Heroine, she was ready to try new things, but at the same time to jump into a situation that she seems to know something, she should have questioned it more.
Hero: He seemed to be an experienced Dom, so he should have explained the steps better and set rules.
plot: It's cliché, but it's good. I like the overall idea. I just wished, since this was not a non-con book, the author had made the Dom explain to the sub rules, boundaries, they should have negotiated the scenes. Who get collared without even knowing it?
heat: In a scale of 1 to 5, I would say a 3. Good scenes, nothing that made me break out a sweat.
Opinion: As I have stated, I didn't rate it higher because after reading so many BDSM books, I expect the basic rules of explanations, safewords, all the SANE, SAFE, CONSENSUAL.
I have no problems with non-con, but this book wasn't a non-con.
I will read the next and I'm curious to know how the sub will grow into her role.

The BDSM is light with some spanking, bondage and wax play, so those who aren’t into more extreme BDSM should have no problem with this one. All-in-all a sultry read that leaves me wanting more.
