A few recipes were great, and I loved the information in the back of the book that told you which vitamins and minerals were useful for certain ailments. But I really can't give it more than two stars when it's packed full of animal products that aren't actually healthy for you. Animal products are what cause most of the conditions in the back of the book so to include them in the recipes is contradictory/ridiculous...If you want real nutrition information, "How Not to Die" by Michael Greger is an excellent resource!

I am a big believer that you are what you eat - and what you eat can make a huge impact on your health. There were definitely a few recipes I want to try from this book. But, I also liked how each recipe had icons that showed what body systems/issues these foods could help. Also, at the very end there is a section of "conditions" with explanations of that condition and how diet can help that particular condition. And at the beginning of the book was a list of "ingredients" with conditions that that fruit/vegetable/etc. can help. Overall, I liked this one it reminded me of the TV show "The Food Hospital."

Really like the section in the back, called "CONDITIONS". Wish the main print was darker, but appreciate the juxtaposition with darker headlines, key sources of foods that he believes can be helpful to each specific condition, and recommended recipes that are in the book.
The typesetter/proofreader/aging eyes person in me knows what is easy to see, understand, absorb!

A good selection of recipes with ingredients that are easy to source. It isn't a recipe book I use every day but I do return to it at least once a month for healthy inspiration.
