An adventurous read with Drama, Magic, passion, finding your true place and opening heart to love❤ I DEVOURED THIS STORY!

#My 1st by Lily, definitely won't be my last!
ARC received in exchange for a honest review.

The blurb doesn't do it justice, I have so much to say about this story! The writing was smooth & enticing. I loved Trish, Jack, Matt and Buck! This was my 1st Reverse-harem book, I'm happy i gave this one a chance. This was perfect to introduce myself to this story-type. I loved how she didn't fell headfirst into a relationship with them all.

Trish had come to the Bar to tribute her mom, after her death, through singing. They didn't have the best relation but she was lost without her.
The 3 guys saw her then. Her song held emotions, magical to them. They knew she was the one they were looking for.

So they kidnapped her. Not the best move yes, Matt and Trish would agree too. But it was necessary for her safety. From their enemies.

They'd keep her in a cell, but she'd spend some time with each, to know their personalities.
Jack-The leader; Rough, mysterious with surprising tenderness. His growl is hot🔥!
Matt-The Healer; He was open to her from the start. The kind, sweet one. I fell for him!
Buck-The muscle of the group; he was aloof to her, mostly mean. Their Banters were crazy!

She's a fighter, Not knowing anything made her stir crazy(in just a day) of course she'll try to run! I just didn't like she used Matt's kindness against him, to run.(well, she'll feel guilty for it later too!)

I'm glad she ran. She came to know about the dangers in the forest surrounding The Howlers (Guy's pack/MC)
The guys had great timing! saved her from their enemy group-The hunters.
Now though, she's seen their wolf form. They'd to tell her the truth of why they took her.

Jack was reluctant, he knew she won't believe them. Matt's elixir helped though. She was able to talk to the souls of her parents (Magical!) She finally had some closure, knew this was the place where she can belong.

This was her Dad's pack. Because of the hunters, he'd died and the no.s of pack people were declining. Her bloodline was strong hence they needed her to breed and make the pack stronger.

Of course, this didn't sit right with her. She didn't want that life, live to only breed. But, now she understood them better. Needed Vengeance for what they all lost.

As she found more about these 3 guys, she Can't help but fall for them.
She gravitated towards Jack 1st. He showed her the reason to chose this life. They fell hard.
But when he left to meet with the hunters, to maybe settle things..Those guys attacked.
Only Buck and Matt were there. Buck almost died saving her, good Matt came at last and saved them both.

Matt has always been kind to her AND she'd developed deep feelings for him, but she didn't knew how this will work, how can She love two guys?
A talk with Buck helped. Being the mother of the pack also meant to show others new light, to give love.
Trisha finally let Matt in, they shared a kiss.
What a timing for Jack ,& the others to come back! XD

Yes, She & Jack needed to talk. Jack's jealousy was a problem. He'd already lost his love in past, he didn't want to lose her. He wanted her heart, give others her body.

But, it can't work that way. She can't be beholden to one or tossed to the whole pack. Her heart was open to a whole new world.

She declared him then: she, Jack, Matt and Buck will form a pack in the pack. She'll be only theirs, they hers. Jack already held her love, she had deep feelings for Matt, and Buck? When he almost died saving her, also shared his past with her, she growed feelings for him. She wanted to explore them. (Buck'll be quite willing! Stripping her naked with his eyes and all *Hot*)

How will it work though?
“There Can be no room for Jealousy, or envy, or feelings of possession.”
The talk with Buck & Matt regarding this arrangement was fun!

But before their HEA, The Hunters have to be ended. They were ruthless, a danger to our guys and the whole world.
Cue a vicious war! the nostalgia to win their home back was worth it!
The celebratory Passionate lovemaking b/w these 4, following it, was hot!
This relationship is new to them all, but together, they'll navigate and Find way to live. Love.

I loved the epilogue! Such a great ending. Loved to see their kids!

I really wanted to give this more stars than just one.
I understand better than most how much work goes into writing out a full novel. Something that I worked hard on, and put myself out there and shared it with the world.
It can be daunting and scary and worrisome and for that is the reason I want to give more than one star however, I also have to give you the reader my honest opinion.
That being said please don't hold it against me when I don't share the same opinion as everyone else.

My first issue is the fact that it is supposed to be in the female's point of view however it seems more narrated than pov. And that is annoying.

Second problem would be the paragraphs. They were extremely long. There were times that there should have been a break. Take a breath. Move on to the next sentence. But there were no breaks. These paragraphs just ran on and on and on to the point that there were several points that I was going to just say forget it and put the book on my dnf list and forget about it.
Instead I ended up reading it to the end. I figured I invested this much time into the book, I may as well go right to the end.

next problem I had was with the duration of the book no that's the wrong word. The progression of the book. Of the story.
It just seems strange that the three men pop up I don't know where how'd they know she was going to be there, how did they figure out where she went when she went outside there were just questions that were never answered. Like that main question how do they know she was going to be there?

And how did they go from falling madly in love with her after one day? Or pardon me two days? And how did she become so accepting of this? The main character just drove me insane. She was too much of a victim. And she embraced the victim role like she was born for it.

There needed to be more of a storyline. She just accepted the fact that her father is a wolf. It's just a sex with the fact that she's going into this River Styx to see her dead relatives. It just didn't come together. It wasn't cohesive. There was so much drawn out blah blah blah.

And don't even get me started on that little trip down memory lane. Or pardon me presently considering that they're going into the afterlife to speak to her dead parents. Hello? how is she so accepting that these are her parents. Okay the mother I can understand but the father? Seriously?

So much of the story didn't make sense and it drove me insane and as you can see from above it's making me manic. I have to read something to cleanse my brain of this book.

Would I recommend this to my friends? Isn't that the top question of the day? I would recommend they read it so they can explain it to me to see if maybe I missed something. But if I didn't miss anything based on what I read, no I wouldn't. So I guess it's just a perspective thing. If my friends are reading my review right now and want to see what the hell I was talking about Go ahead. Please. I encourage you. Read the book and then send me a message and let me know if you see the same things I do. Or if they make sense to you. I welcome it.

If you're not on my friends list, feel free to add me. That's the way you get to comment on my content. Anyway I'm going to go now. I'm going to go hunt down a book. And see if there's something to cleanse my brain. Maybe some hot Mafia romance lol.

Book Synopsis in Amazon:

After a bad break up, my friend Rachel convinced me to go to a bar and sing.
She said that it wouldn’t matter, that I’d never see anyone there again.
It was true freedom.
I could sing without consequences.
It wasn’t my usual place.
It was filled with bikers.
I was the odd one out.

But quickly things changed as I met Jack, Matt, and Buck.
The three men wanted me in a way that nobody had ever wanted me before.
My eyes were opened to a new world, a world of wolves…a world of desire.
I was taken to their motorcycle club and they became my werewolves.
I loved them and they protected me.

My review:

I got this book because the synopsis sounded interesting. Then I started to read it.

The synopsis says that main character went out because of a bad break up, that’s not at all why she went out. Then you read some more, and looking back at the synopsis you like, where the hell does a kidnapping come into play? I thought I totally selected the wrong book and had to go back a few times to make sure that I was reading the correct one.

Maybe the story had a few changes since the synopsis was written, but the author should have went and made needed adjustments.

I got to 25% or so and just couldn’t do it. Just from the start, I didn’t like the heroine in the story, from what I had read, she just wasn’t for me. Don’t get me wrong, I love a good reverse harem story, but I had a feeling that the heroine was one of those who would just lay down and take whatever was done to her, and I’d prefer a little fight in my heroines.

If your buying this and going off of just the synopsis, you won’t be getting what you’re expecting. Make sure to read some of the reviews first. I wish I had before I bought it.

Had promise but disappointing

This story had promise, but I was ultimately disappointed. The woman was irritating either overly smart or incredibly dumb. The connections between her and the men are not believable or rushed. Most of the time I couldn’t tell how they got to what was happening and had to reread it for clarity. I’ll try another of this authors to verify if it’s the authors writing or just this story I don’t respond well to.

Ugh!????? What did I just read? I don’t know how this got so many good reviews. It is a goal of mine to not dnf books this year. It was a struggle just to finish. I probably skimmed more than half of the book because the writing was so awful. The idea for this story could have been made into a really great book. There aren’t too many biker shifter RH books out and that is what drew me to checking out Protected by the Wolves. Disappointed ☹️

A hard man is good to find, but a hard book... Not so much

Honestly, this was one not my favorite of Lilly Wilder's. That's not to say that it's a bad story, just that it's very wordy with huge paragraphs breaking up the flow of dialogue. Then there's just large sections where there's only story background and exposition. It made it very difficult to get through.

Only made to 19% and that was with skimming.

Found the FMC irritatingly annoying. It was all inner dialogue, that was repetitive and annoying at best. With the exception of a handful of sentences between the FMC and her friend and a few sentences with Jack or Matt. Not Buck because apparently he just grunts.

DNF @ 32%. This was kinda a hot mess. It seems like the author tried to do too much. It was a kidnapping book with an MC, but it was also paranormal. At 32% in, I felt no connection to any of the characters and the plot didn’t seem to be progressing that much so I DNF’d it.

Well written

This book is well written and has a decent storyline to it. However it took me to get into the story hence why I’ve only given the three stars. Though in spite of this when I did get into it I flew through the rest of the book.

SoSo

I wouldn’t describe this as a romance, everything was done because it was a necessity. The relationships felt forced and a bit dull.

Rating this book is a little difficult for me. I have read books of Lilly Wilder before. It actually was one of my first books about Reverse Harem. This is the first time, after nearly a year, that I read a book of her again.

So, the plot wasn't bad. It was in fact interesting. But I don't know... it couldn't hold my attention in one run. When I need to make breaks during reading, then it's often a tell-tale that the story doesn't blow my mind. Maybe it's because I have, since the last time, read so much books by other authors, that I have a different taste now. Or I'm just used to a different kind of writing.

And there wasn't really something bad. The characters have their depths. All different, but still they felt in someway like typical run-of-the-mill males. Maybe because of the interactions with Trish. I mean, they have some moments between each other. But the time frame was just strange. They fell in love. It happens in a few days.

And Trish has her depths and reasons, too. I could understand her and feel her struggles with being part of a wolf pack and forming a harem. But still she felt repetitive and not that unique to me.

So, though I enjoyed the book - with the breaks -, but I wouldn't say that I will remember the book in a few days. It simply wasn't that good to me. I would say, too, that the shortness of the book is part of the problem. Because the story felt rushed, and I couldn't be eased into the story.

The epilogue was too short, too. I wished I could have seen more about the time after the battle and how they adapt. And we only saw Buck and nothing about Jack or Matt in the epilogue.

When I take all the things together, I rate this book with 3.5 stars.

ONE MIND-BLOWING SIZZLING SLAM!!!
Howling heat! Lilly lays out quite the spread, bringing all the heat and magic, lighting it up and watching it glow, hotter than a flaming inferno and more explosive than dynamite, ratcheting up the thrill, wrapping this baby up sleek, shiny and tight. Anarchy runs rampant and havoc is rife, rolling out the drama, turmoil, intrigue, danger, spiraling suspense and intense situations, along with a double dose of steam while dodging chaos, you have one intoxicating masterpiece. Lines blur and boundaries crossed, limitations are stretched and bent, booting this baby forward, kicking it into overdrive, slamming it into a tailspin with an eye-opening culmination. Crazy mishaps and startling circumstances swirl with the formidable trials and challenging tribulations, spinning alongside the shocking twists and wicked turns, drawing them in deeper than they could have ever imagined. Twixt, twined and pushed to the limits, throwing caution to the wind, no turning back and take no prisoners attitude has this baby banging like a cheap screen door, propelling this gem to life beautifully. The raw magnetism, attraction and sizzling chemistry collides with such intensity, drawing you deeper until you feel the electrifying hum running rampant through your veins. The characters are complex and authentic with qualities and traits that blend and flow, adding depth, transforming into genuine charismatic personalities. The scenes are strikingly sharp with abundant details and descriptions that feel as though you were transported to ground zero with them. Amazing job Lilly, thanks for sharing this treasure with us.

Trish is persuaded by her best friend Rachel, to sing in a bar called The Honeypot. She claims that it is the best way to get over a bad break up.It will be good for her, as she is never going to see anyone again so, where's the harm?
Reluctantly, Trish agrees to give it a go.Starting out singing because of the break up, but, ending up singing for her mother, who recently passed away.
Whilst on stage, she catches the eye of three men and it's like a lightening bolt races through her.
After finishing and leaving the stage, these men are still interested in her and, when she goes outside for some air, they follow her.
Trish is frightened by them, despite them having introduced themselves as, Jack, Matt and Buck.
Before she can get away from them, she is kidnapped and taken to their motorcycle clubhouse.
Where is she?
What do these three men want with her?
Can she find a way to escape?
How can she be attracted to these men who kidnapped her?
This is the second book by Lilly Wilder that I have read and I must say I thoroughly enjoyed it.
I don't like to give spoilers for books but, what I will say is, I highly recommend you dive in to find out just how important Trish is to these three undoubtedly handsome men.

Interesting paranormal romance about a woman, Trish, whose friend convinces her to sing a song at a bar one night and the next thing she knows she is knocked out by three bikers and whisked away.

Jack, Matt, and Buck are wolf shifters whose pack, the Howlers, is dying out. When they Trish sing they realize that she is the woman they have been waiting for. The woman who will save their pack by giving them strong pups. It seems Trish's father was a wolf shifter. In fact, he was the pack leader until he was killed by a rival pack. This pack, known as the Hunters, is determined to eradicate the Howlers and getting rid of Trish is high on their to-do list.

It will take some convincing, including a "visit" with her dead parents, to convince Trish that her destiny is with the Howlers. First, though, the Hunters have to be taken care of - for good. Outnumbered, the pack will have to use Matt's magical knows-how if they are going to stand a chance. Can they defeat their enemies and reclaim their town and their future? Will Trish agree to stay with the pack and help them repopulate?

I was given an advanced copy of this book by the author. My review is voluntary.

Once again Lilly has written a book that draws you in and keeps you engaged until you turn the last page There is plenty of angst and drama and a whole lot of steamy romance perfect for a wet rainy day

Trish is struggling with the death of her mother so her friends take her to an open Mic night in the hopes it will cheer her up She can feels eyes on her and realises that three gorgeous men are watching her When she steps out to get some fresh air those men kidnap her. Buck, Matt and Jack are wolf shifters and members of the Howler pack the moment they saw her they knew she was it for them their mate and the one to give them strong pups The Howlers are fighting for survival against a fellow pack The Hunters in fact this pack killed Trish's father who was the previous alpha of the Howlers and a shifter something Trish never knew She is deeply attracted to the three man but can she believe their story When a visit from her dead parents helps her understand what is going on and the Hunters now after her she will have to trust he men to keep her safe.

Very interesting read!

Okay! This book pissed me off at first in the beginning but then grew on me. Poor woman, none of the guys expressed love to her lol. Buck still says “I’ll be seeing you” lol. Also I think this is the only book where the dad is cool with his daughter repopulating the wolf population. Like go be free and breed with many men. I must admit though I did like the book towards the middle once the story did pick up. I think Jack was my least favorite of the trio. Matt was by far the best followed by Buck. There was a few cringe moments in the book. For some reason the guys really didn’t take it upon themselves to make it about her. The love scenes was kind of one sided and I’m sorry spoiler alert when she crossed the streams I had to skip ahead. I drew the line in the sand right there lol. I know there seems like a lot of negatives here but I actually still liked the book. 3.75⭐️

Trish's friends convince her to sing at the bar so she goes up and sings as a way to honor her mother. When Jack, Matt and Buck heard her they knew that she was the woman to save their pack. Instead of trying to win her the normal way the kidnap her and try to convince once they have her back at their place. Trish doesn't know why they think she should believe them however when she doesn't get away once and is almost killed by someone else and they save her she gives them a chance. Can they show her that they can have a future together? Will she be able to trust them with how they met?

This is a great story that will have you on the edge of your seat from beginning to end. This is a well written and very entertaining story. I would recommend this book to any book lover.

Trish is struggling with her mother’s death. She feels guilty because they were on bad terms before she died. Her bff takes to sing karaoke at a dive bar and just when she was about to back out she found the courage to get up there and sing one of her mom’s favorite songs. She felt eyes on her while singing and everything from there happens at warp speed. Trish is kidnapped by three sexy wolves but she doesn’t know anything about their world and they aren’t so forthcoming. She is determined to escape because they won’t tell her anything and they are all scary except for Matt. The three gorgeous wolves persuade her to stay by laying heavy stuff on her plate but fate works in mysterious ways. Will Trish agree to their plan? Will their rivals take her out before she can fulfill her destiny?

Good read 🤩

Love the way the magic and the moon play an important part of this story and also the special properties of some plants, that help the pack to heal, to strenghten and to visit special magic places 🤩, also I love fated mates stories, as is Trish and her three hot wolves 💞
What I didn't like was the kidnapping part and the way she was treated, she didn't know anything about their world and they were really hard on her, not showing at all how special she was to them, not caring about her feelings and fears 😔😤
Besides that, the story is great, and the guys became what they should from the start, loving and protecting of her 🤗
This book is well written, action-packed, easy to read and with a great plot that finishes with a sweet HEA 😍

Trish goes to a bar with her friends and there sings a song in tribute to her deceased mother. That song is heard by 3 mysterious men who follow Trish outside the bar and kidnap her. She wakes up in a motorcycle club scared and confused. It is not until she escapes that the leader explains why she is there, what her mission is, the truth about her father and the war between them and the Hunters. Trish accepts her new mission in life and her love for these 3 wolves: Jack, Matt and Buck.
I would have preferred it to have been somewhat longer, the relationship between them is fast and almost everything happens in the end. I would like to read more about the dynamics of the relationship between them and how Trish has been adapting as a mother of the pack.

While singing in a bar Trish spots three big bikers watching her.
Trish had been pushed by her mother to perform in talent contest as a child until it got to the point that Trish froze every time she tried to sing. Now her mother is dead and her friend suggests that she goes to a biker bar on an open mike night and try to sing knowing that she will not see anyone in the bar again. Trish get on stage battling her nerves and suddenly finds herself singing and as she does she notices a group of three biker types staring at her and finds it hard to look away.

Bad Bikers = Bad Wolves

I wasn't too sure about the premise of this book at first. While I have many fantasies( which are what I tend to read), kidnapping isn't one of them. Bikers-yes. Wolf shifters-yes. Wolf shifter bikers-yes please! Luckily I gave this one a chance as it was much better than I thought it would be. Although I still think the guys should have really thought about it a little longer before kidnapping Trish. I received an advance reader's copy of this book and am voluntarily reviewing

It was a very entertaining novel! The attraction between Trish, Matt, Buck and Jack was electric though the three had very different looks and personality. This gave us a wide spectrum of feelings, interactions and emotional scenes which keeps the story interesting. The actual storyline was fast paced, entertaining and keeps the reader interested to keep turning the pages to find out what happens next. This book is definitely worth a read and a re-read!

Wow! What a wild ride! This is a paranormal romance with lots of heat. One woman’s pain at the loss of her estranged mother leads to a whole world of magic and love. She discovers her purpose in life. And helps her mates, yes in plural, discover there is more to life than duty to the pack. And they all learn that there are many ways to love. Ms. Wilder’s books keep getting better.

I did receive an advance copy for my honest review.

Trish goes to a karaoke bar with her best friend. She’s still struggling with her mom’s death and decides to sing one of her mom’s favorite songs. Jack, Matt and Buck hear her singing and know she’s their mate and the one help them save their pack. However, they don’t go about things normally and kidnap Trish. This is just the beginning of this action packed and exciting story. A great read and one I highly recommend.

The book was good. The plot was great for the most part it's just that I felt like it was drawn out in spots especially in the beginning.

Tons of drama. I loved that! Plus a few sexy scenes. Wowza!

I enjoyed the characters for the most part. Trish got on my nerves on several occasions.

I really enjoyed this book. Trish is at rock bottom and her friend Rachel convinces her to sing at this bar (a biker bar) where she attracts the attention of 3 shifter bikers; Jack, Matt & Buck. She's kidnapped by the 3 as they believe she's the one to help them continue on with their bloodline. She eventually realizes that this is where and with who she's meant to be.
