"Wonderful, beautiful story about two souls finding their way back to one another at the right time and the right place in their lives."

"Holy cow. This was fantastic. Awesome characters and storyline. Kept my interest throughout. A must-read book."

He wanted to forget. I wanted an escape.

In just one night, David put my world upside down. Repeatedly.

He asked me to stay, but instead, I ran.

Thank you for giving me more than I was looking for . I left those words in a note on the nightstand.

Little did I know that sentence sealed my fate. I thought I’d never see him again.

Life goes on, four years later, I’m doing my best to stay afloat when a fire devasted my father’s little church.

And guess who's in charge of the rebuilding?

Yes, you guessed it.

He’s here.

He’s back.

But I’m not alone anymore.

I have a son.

And there's no more place to run.

Otay this is my first book by this author, and it didn't disappoint. I wasn't sure about David and Ella these two both have stuff there hiding. David is shocked to find out that Ella has been hiding his child from him for 4 years. Not gonna lie these two have a connection, and there is definitely a bond. I will say there relationship in the end is like none other and I was impressed.

Since I knew that this author was going to release a new book I was all in.
I've not read many books from her, but the ones I've had were enough to make me want more.
Susana Mohel is this sweet lady with powerful writing that will knock you off your feet.
Trust me.
Wrecked is her latest release and explores the lives of David and Melanie.
David was as broken as you can be. Broken in several ways succumbing to a bunch of vices.
How can you rebuild your life if you don't have anything to fight for?
In comes Melanie.
Melanie had a wild night. A one-night stand. No regrets, and no looking back.
But, from that night, came her greatest treasure. Her son.
She thought that she wasn't going to see her baby daddy until...
This book was everything I wanted and so much more.
Amazing plot, well written, super engaging, and intense.
It was amazing to witness their struggles, and their commitment to achieving their goals.
Ella is an amazing mother with a heart of gold.
And David... Oh, David... He had suffered and overcoming addiction isn't an easy task.
I'm not gonna lie. I was scared of not liking David very much, because of the way he behaved in Destined, but I'm so glad I was wrong.
He proved that every black soul can find the light, you just have to focus on what really matters to you.
Loved the chemistry these two shared and Davi... Oh, sweet boy. He's so stinky cute.
And the hot stuff... Lord have mercy.
Dayum...
Loved every single Glenn chapter and I can't wait to read more about the Posada's family.
I wanted more.
Another amazing book Susana. You nailed it and I loved it so freaking much. I voluntarily reviewed an Advance Reader Copy of this book.

I am SO HAPPY that David got some redemption! I was definitely not a fan of the man after Destined, but he is redeemed in my eyes after this story and I absolutely love him.

David and Ella have a one night stand…they never exchanged anything besides their first names. However, Ella ends up pregnant. Now years have passed and their paths cross again. I absolutely adored David and Ella together. These two have a strong connection and tons of chemistry and you could feel that from the very first moment that they met. Add in Davi and hello swoony Daddy David!!! Seriously, the man was all in with his son from the second he found out and I loved the moments between the two of them.

I loved this story so much. I loved David got the redemption he deserved, that he has Ella and Davi by his side throughout it all. I loved the little bits and pieces of the Posada family and that they got to see this new David, even if there may have been some doubts and worries about it all.

I love the entire Posada family and I really hope that there will be more of them in the future!

If you’re looking for a single mom, billionaire, small town, second chance romance this is one to check out.

Wrecked is the name and redemption is the game making for an intense ride that I couldn't get enough of! David has made a ton of poor decisions in the past, and while the guilt is crazy intense, he's also manning up to fix things. Melanie is a girl who set out for a one night stand (with David), and when that ONS was over, well, she was out of there so she never thought she would see him again. Funny thing about fate, it tends to get involved in no particular timeframe, so Melanie does come across David again, four years later, and there are some things they need to talk about LOL! I loved Melanie despite the fact she was a flight risk, and David actually got better throughout the story (which I didn't know would ever happen since I know some of his backstory from a previous book), but I do love a great redemption story, and the talented Susana Mohel gave us that in spades. I don't want to say anything else because this story was FANTASTIC so just experience all the emotional goodness for yourselves! HIGHLY HIGHLY HIGHLY RECOMMEND!

Oh my heart. I wasn’t sure how I would be or how I wiuld feel when it finally came time for David’s story. Would I accept him and what he had to say after everything (EVERYTHING) he put Destinee and Martin through? If anyone could make me change my mind and my heart, on a character, I knew Mohel could. She would give us the redemption story we all would want but never knew we needed.

And y’all. Mohel did and more. This story absolutely turned not only David’s heart around, but mine as well. I was in immediate like with him which quickly grew to love. (There’s something about an antihero that I can’t stay away from.) I saw he had changed from the boy he was before and I couldn’t help but fall, and fall quickly, for this charming man.

I adored the romance. It was slow but not. It was in your face but subtle. I was all over the place with how it made me feel and it just made a mess of my heart in the best way possible. But it was everything.

Wonderful, beautiful story about two souls finding their way back to one another at the right time and the right place in their lives. There is still so much I want to say and my fingers are itching to type it but it would be a spoiler to the story itself. So I am just going to stop now and just leave it at that. 5 Stars.

I am going to be honest: I don't think anyone liked David, and I didn't know if it was possible after reading Destined. But here we are, and I am so happy that David got his redemption book because, oh boy, this man needed it.

I am glad that David eventually got to work through his hurting. He was really messed up and broken and had a lot of healing to do.

David is lonely and looking for a release. So he spends one night of passion with a lady; no names or numbers are exchanged.

Four years later, David runs into the woman who got away, and they have a son.

I loved these two, and I am glad they got their HEA.

I can't wait to read more books from Susana.

ARC kindly provided in exchange for an honest review

After how much I hated David in Destined I almost can't believe I'm saying this BUT: I LOVED this book and I think David & Martin are now in the same place in my heart. Plus, with Wrecked Susana Mohel gave me a love story that I didn't expect, the most tender, sweet and adorable, but also with moving moments that I didn't know I needed to read and that was one of the things I enjoyed the most about this book.

Ella is in my top 3 of female characters by this author: she's a strong, independent, brave girl whose life changed after an unexpected encounter. I loved her side of a loving, responsible mom who always tries to give the best to her little boy, who is absolutely adorable and melted my heart, but also LOVED that she's a woman capable of saying what she thinks and feels, especially to David, that she has her own dreams and is not willing to give them up for anything and best of all for me was her ability to remain faithful to her principles and not let injustice happen in front of her, without a doubt, she's a queen and I thoroughly enjoyed her trip with David.

David is a super complicated character, I think those of us who love Destined immediately hate his character, and despite that when Susana talks about this book I couldn't wait to read his redemption and hope that, at least, I liked him... and the goal was achieved BECAUSE I LOVED HIM! David is a recovering alcoholic, a man who isn't easy to understand and who lives with a lot of guilt due to his past, but who has now managed to get his life back on track and with has a huge heart. One of the things I liked the most about his story was that the author didn't focus on his path to recovery, but rather on the entire process that David goes through to stay sober, something very original in this type of stories. And without a doubt what made me fall in love with him is the way he behaves with Ella from the first moment, how adorable he is with the little one and how sure he is of loving them both. I was also very moved to read him reuniting with his family, leaving the past behind and recovering that part of him that was lost.

Ella & David have a very interesting chemistry and a love story that made me fall in love with their relationship, and although they have moments that made me suffer a bit, most of their moments were the most tender and sweet I've ever read and I have to say that I LOVED everything Susana did with these two and the little one who gave their story an even more special touch.

Ahhhhh this one punched me right in the feels and I savoured every word of it. So what's it about?

When David Posada is asked to undertake community service to rebuild a church as part of the conditions of inheriting his late friend’s business, the last thing he expects is to discover that the pastor's daughter Melanie is the woman that he has never been able to get out of his head following a one night stand four years ago. And when he meets her son Davi, who looks just like him, things get more complicated . . .

Wrecked reads well as a standalone novel, but the author's previous book Destined provides some additional backstory to David, as he features in a very different role, struggling with alcoholism and causing hurt and discord in his family. I'll admit that I couldn't stand David in Destined, but he undergoes a HUGE redemption arc between books, facing his demons head on through rehab, building a successful business and professional reputation and starting to mend bridges with his family. We meet him at this point in Wrecked and the author achieved the impossible as I can honestly say that I LOVED him!

Susana is skilled at creating realistic, relatable characters that don't have shiny, polished edges, and I love them all the more for it. I adored quirky, fun Melanie and admired how she juggled her career and single parenthood despite facing discrimination and small town gossip. The instant bond between David and Melanie's adorable son Davi melted my heart, but I liked how Melanie stuck to her principles and didn't jump straight into a relationship with David until she was ready, even though her heart told her to. This made their relationship feel deeper, more organic and realistic to me, as romance characters are often quick to jump headlong into relationships. Another benefit was that their sizzling, slow burn chemistry made for super hot, grab a fan level steam when they finally gave in to their feelings and I was here for it! They had a real soul mates connection and were both very open minded and accepting of each other, and I enjoyed seeing how Melanie helped David to rebuild his relationships with his family.

Wrecked is a beautiful and thoughtful romance about second chances, family, friendship, redemption and love. I'd recommend it to all romance fans!

I adored this one night stand with consequences, second chance romance. This works as a standalone as Susana gives context of the characters backgrounds. However, if you have read the character linked story, Destined, you get a real sense of David's redemption arc in this story. David has had his problems and has been problematic in the previous story. But giving him his own story and his own journey to family and responsibility is satisfying and beautiful. Susana doesnt shy away from his gritty reality of alcohol addiction and his troubled familial relationships. What we have in Wrecked is someone learning, adapting and stepping up to the plate.

David has inherited a huge and successful business. As one of the conditions of the will he has to complete a period of community service. He opts to work on the rebuilt of a church. In doing so, fate brings him back together with the woman who has haunted his dreams. The woman he has sworn to find and reconnect with. You get a real sense that these two are soul mates. Their paths cross at the right time for them both to move forward as equals. Ella is quirky and has incredible strength. She is a single mum with strong principles who has faced the world and its criticisms for long enough to be hardened and independent. At no point does she compromise herself or her ideals and together they wait until they are on the same page before moving forward.

This has real moments of intense romance. I loved David's determination and confidence in their connection. I loved the redeeming power in their love. David is able to support and share the burden with Ella and give her the means to progress and live her dreams. She is able to give him the time to heal and mend cracks with his family.

A gorgeous second chance romance filled with passion, connection and healing.

I have been waiting for this book for a while. Ms. Mohel has promised a redemption for David, and I wasn’t so sure about it after the way he acted in Destined, but redemption he got. David was a broken man that had so many vices he had to work through. No matter what it took the love of a strong woman to help him set his path straight and work hard at making himself a better man. It wasn’t just the love from Melanie, but the love of their son Davi. It was something that Destinee, his sister-in-law said that was the push that proved that a person can truly change. This story gives you the all the rollercoaster of emotions as both David and Melanie have burdens to shoulder and it shows love can concur it all.

So, my feelings. David. This man was on my list after reading Martin and Destinee’s book. Martin is David’s older brother and there is history between David and Destinee. Destinee is also his sister’s best friend, so they have grown up together. With all of that said, to see David work hard and then want the forgiveness of his family was beautiful. Seeing the effort wasn’t easy for him and that he needed to lean on Melanie was perfect. I appreciate that guys need the support and love of a good woman and aren’t afraid to use it. Melanie was perfection. She had to work through a lot to get to feel comfortable with David. The feelings were there for both of them, and the spark was well and alive, but it was not something that came easy to accept for Melanie. Their one night that resulted in their son was out of character, but she didn’t resent anything. As David learned to trust himself and Melanie, he found that he would get back the vices and enjoy the life that was Melanie and Davi.

This was the first book I’ve read by Susan Mohel.

The premise for the book is definitely attention grabbing. While trying to secure his ownership of a construction company he inherited from a friend/fellow patient from rehab, David moved to a small community to help rebuild a church that caught his attention after a devastated fire. Within minutes of his arrival after Sunday services, he encounters an adorable little boy who has his brain spinning with a curious sense of familiarity.

I was captivated with initial discovery that the woman David met 4 years ago and had a one night stand is not only a woman he can’t forget, but also the mother of a child he didn’t know existed. These two have an immediate connection and David quickly steps up to spend time with his young son and getting to know him. This part of the story is sweet and entertaining. David’s Mexican heritage and his desire to share it with his son was a nice addition to their relationship.

The storyline overall has some big gaps that may have been answered or known by reading previous books by this author. Using inner thoughts, the author has David allude to past actions that he worries Melanie/Ella would run from him, but this is never explained. Ella overhears a conversation between David’s sister and sister-in-law where David’s sister is doubtful of his ability to settle down and bad past actions…with no further explanation or mention of this.

Overall this was an entertaining read, and a solid 3.5 star rating. I finished the book, but was not compelled to want to read more about the other characters.

I received a free ARC from the author and Hidden Gems; and I am voluntarily leaving an unbiased review.

I hated David in "Destined" and I didn't feel like he deserves redemption after the way he treated Destinee and especially the miscarriage thing.. But I wanted to read this book and see if I can have a change of feelings.. Well I'm not sure about that cause I can't for the life of me continue reading this book after this scene:

[I take a step back. “Crawl.”
“What?” She blinks as if she’s trying to understand what I mean.
“You heard me just fine, Ella,” I repeat in a dry tone. “Crawl.”
I turn to take the lead to the bedroom without looking back until the moment I’m by the door. Then my eyes are on her, taking in each detail. With every movement, her big tits swing, barely contained by the cotton of her bra. I bet those pink nipples are already hard and pushing against the fabric. Soon enough, they will be in my mouth.]

...

He freaking asked her to follow him to his room while crawling and the first thing that came to my mind is "Why don't you ask her to bark too?" lol I just can't this was so ridiculous that I had to stop reading, it just turned me off 🌚

I'm not rating this book until I can get back and finish reading it 🙃

David Posada is a very troubled man, he’s what some would call the black sheep of his family. David was involved romantically with his sister’s best friend who was never meant to be his. He was in a dark place for a long time, which lead him to become an alcoholic. By all accounts David was never meant to be a worthy hero, but oh my goodness how this man turns his life and becomes everything I ever wanted in a main character and then some is nothing short of espectacular!

David has a one night stand with Ella while his at his worst, and this changes everything for him. Years later they meet again and the best present he could ever think about comes to him, Davi. His son.
David and Ella rekindle their connection and they work so hard towards their HEA. Watching them come to terms with life and becoming a family is amazing. What a ride! There’s not a single thing I don’t love about this book. Second chances and redeeming damaged heroes is Susana’s specialty and she didn’t disappoint. Wrecked is an outstanding book!

David and Melanie (Ella) share a passionate one night stand. When he tries to convince her to stay the weekend, she leaves in the middle of the night, leaving a note ‘Thank you for giving me more than I was looking for.’
That note could not have held more truth to it.
Four years later, David is going to help rebuild a church, doing community service to keep the company he inherited. And who does he see there? Ella of course, and a little boy, with a lot of resemblance to himself.
Now David will do everything to prove to Ella that she’s all he’s ever wanted since that one night and that he will be there for his son.

This book was such an easy read, a fun escape after a long day at work.
I love how one night turns into a surprise pregnancy where the heroine can’t reach the father because they didn’t share last names. And then he finds out just by going to help the community rebuild the church. And I love when the guy falls first, for him it happened that first night four years ago.

David and Ella had a one night stand four years ago. David never forgot about Ella but was in a really dark place at that time, yet she hung around in his head. We fast forward to now and David is turning his life around. In order to inherit a large, successful business he must do some community service and decides to renovate a church after a fire destroys it. There David meets a boy Davi, he looks familar to David but its only when he see's Ella again, that he realises Davi is his son, born out of the one stand they had four years previously.

Wrecked is the story of David and Ella reconnecting together, but its more than that. It's David redeeming himself from his past, overcoming his alcoholism and growing to be be the best father he can to Davi. This book can be read as standalone and Susana does a good job of providing some background to David, however I felt I lost some understanding having not read the previous book.

David and Ella share one passionate night together 4 years ago and think they will never see each other again. But that night was life changing for both of them.

David decided to go to rehab and fight against his alcohol addiction. And search for Ella.

Ella was left with beautiful reminder of David, their son Davi, little firecracker.

Their paths cross again when David has to do some charity work to keep his business.

He is happy to finally find Ella and little surprise to learn he has a son. But that is all he ever wanted and he'll do anything to win Ella back and protect his little family.

A story full of surprises, good ones. About a man who will do anything for his woman and son. To make dreams come true for them.

And of course it wouldn't be Susan's story if it didn't have some spice 🌶️🌶️🌶️.

If you've read Destined by Susana Mohel then you will be happy and pleasantly surprised by Wrecked. The man you found yourself disliking finally gets his redemption.

Without exchanging more than just first names, David and Ella spend on night of fiery hot passion and off the charts chemistry. Flash forward four years, David finds himself in a small town, assisting a church rebuild as part of his community service. Little does he know that the daughter of pastor is the girl he's spent the last few years searching for. But now that he's found her, he's found something that he never knew he wanted; Davi.

If you love a romance with a billionaire, a single mom, a small town, an adorable little boy, and a second chance, then this a book for you. I love the Posada family and I really hope we'll see more of them in future books by Mohel.

“Nothing in the world is worth having or worth doing unless it means effort, pain, and difficulty.” - Theodore Roosevelt

Who knew a one-night stand would have David opening his heart and going to rehab to find a way to redeem himself for his douchebag foolishness toward his family. Jump four years to a new David, running a successful business and finding the woman who changed things plus a little surprise.

I have been waiting for David to get his story and Wrecked was everything to redeem David in my eyes. Susana wrote a beautiful story that captured my heart and I love this family (The Posada’s) even more. Now, it’s time for tacos and the sounds of Queen.

**This book can be read as a standalone but to better understand David and his past, you will need to read Fated and Destined.

David has it all…money, power and a bunch of problems. Having to do some community service he goes to a small town to work on a church. He is extremely surprised to see someone that he spent an amazing night with four years ago. Melanie is a single mother who works hard and loves her family. When her fathers church is being rebuilt and the man she can’t stop thinking about is suddenly standing in front of her…she is stunned. Melanie and David had an incredible connection that night and it definitely didn’t go away. Do they have a chance at having it all? Can they be a real family? This was a great quick read that took this couple on an emotional journey. I really enjoyed the story and the strong character. I would definitely read more books by this author.

But when he arrives he runs into his one night stand from 4years ago… The one he couldn’t get over. And guess what… She has a surprise for him 😊

I enjoy a story where the bad boy gets taken by a good woman 😊 And this was exactly what this story was for me. David was a hated character in previous books but I knew there was a soft heart underneath it all, lol… Lots of tension, lots of spice and fate stepping in to turn their lives upside down. They were totally right for each even though they didn’t know it. And bonus for me… Single parent 😊 Definite a plus for me

David's glow-up had me side-eyeing HARD. Man's got the billionaire edge, Mexican fam vibes (Posadas represent?), and he steps up for Davi like a pro...heart-melting dad moments had me weak 🤭The chemistry? Still electric, slow-burn tension that explodes into "grab the fan" spice. Ella's quirky, fierce, no-BS energy is chef's kiss, juggling nurse life and small-town gossip like a boss.

But. But. But. The pacing?? CHAOTIC. Gaps everywhere!! like, what EVEN was his full backstory beef? We get hints of alcoholism and family fallout, but it's vague AF if you haven't read the priors. And that one scene where he tells her to CRAWL to the bedroom? I YELPED. "Bark too, king?" Ridiculous power play turned me OFF so fast I DNF'd for a hot sec.

This is David and Melanie’s story. David is a troubled soul who is the black sheep in his family, and having some community service to do, he heads to a small town to help rebuild a church which was destroyed by a fire. When David arrives there, he comes face to face with the woman he had a 1-night stand with 4-years previously, and whom he has never forgotten, only to find out he has a son. This is a well written story which is an emotional roller coaster, with redemption, 2nd chances, family, friendships, and love, which leads to an entertaining and compelling page turner.

This story was pretty good and enjoyable. It started off with spice that was pretty good- long scenes, good descriptions. Really, the spice (not just the first scene) seemed to actually get more tame as the story went on- not that they were actually having less spicy times, but we were seeing it less. The relationship was quick but wonderful, his determination to break through her concerns and lay them to rest. Though we don't really see how some of them get solved, except in the end with learning where they are years later.

Wrecked by Susana Mohel

This was David's and Melanie's journey. It was well written and an emotional roller coaster for sure. It was written to deal with a man struggling with alcoholism. While deep in his alcohol addiction he has a one night stand with Ella ( Melanie ). Which leaves her with more than a hot night to remember. Five years later he sees her again only to find the fact that he has a child that came from that night. It was heartwarming and will pull at your heartstrings for sure so be prepared. It is a book I would gladly recommend and look forward to reading more from this author.

Wrecked is one of those stories that I sat on the line between love and like. This second chance romance is one that is filled with plenty of connection and chemistry and has heat and steam radiating off the pages. Both David and Ella were characters that you were drawn to and had personas that you loved. However my only issue was at times I felt the story was a little disjointed and didn’t flow as effortlessly as other stories by this author normally do. In saying that the story was overflowing with emotion and passion and had you captivated and holding your breath hoping that these unique characters got the HEA they deserved.

Wrecked is the first book I've ever read by Susana Mohel, and I adored this story. I guess now I have a backlist to get through!

For years after having a one-night stand, David and Ella's paths crossed again. Back when they first met, they had only exchanged names. While David had asked Ella to stay, she had left in the middle of the night. What she didn't expect was to get pregnant accidentally. Now, destiny has brought them together. And is everything they deserve.

Ella is independent, outspoken, and fierce. David has a troubled past and is on the path to redemption. Their story is heartwarming and emotional. And the love David feels for his son? Swoon!

David and Melanie's story will have you all caught up in it. David has had his share of problems, but he connects with Melanie one night and it resonates with him. She leaves him a note thanking him for a night that was more than she is looking for. Years later they will reconnect, and it will be monumental! Will he and Melanie rekindle what they had that night, and will it lead them to a happily ever after? I am volunteering to leave a review for an ARC of this book.

I know I would not like to live in a small town. Way too much pettiness and lack of privacy for me just as depicted in this book. While I liked David, I struggled to like Ella. I think she made a lot of assumptions just because David had money. She was also naïve for my tastes. There was a comment that Ella’s sister made about David sleeping with a stranger. Hello, did she forget about her own sister. Pot calling the kettle black. I think the Pastor and David were the only ones that acted mature. I received an advanced copy and I’m leaving this review voluntarily.

A second chance unexpected pregnancy small-town romance. This is David's and Melanie's (Ella) story and I liked them, David a bit more as he was more decisive and not easy to judge.
It was fast-paced with some gaps in the story that are never answered and just alluded to.
I hope they did a round of editing as there were some errors.
I was given a free copy of this book from Hidden Arcs and I'm voluntarily leaving an honest review. All thoughts and opinions are my own.

David and Ella spent one night together. David tried to get Ella to stay with him for the weekend but she left leaving only a note for her goodbye. Now four years a later and circumstances have brought them back into each others lives but how will things go down when David discovers that Ella was left with more than just memories of their night together.

A great story that I really enjoyed. Susana Mohel pulled me in immediately with her words and I look forward to reading more in the future.
