It's Time. Challenges to the Doctrine of the Faith by Michael Morwood. Christianity, along with other major religions, has to make sense of its major beliefs in light of contemporary knowledge about the universe and our place in it. This calls for a major overhaul in how we understand "God", how we interpret Jesus as revealing the Divine Presence in human form, and what this means for worship and prayer. This contemporary "story" is radically different from the traditional Christian story about an elsewhere, heavenly God who disconnected from humanity.
Generally speaking, I think Michael Morwood is great. Sometimes, however, he writes about problems that are uniquely Roman Catholic or from a uniquely Roman Catholic perspective and doesn't acknowledge that say, Anglicans, see those beliefs differently. For example, the problem may not be Mary. It might be uniquely Roman perspectives on beliefs about Mary.
Provides excellent arguments in challenging Roman Catholic faith based in his experiences as a priest for 30+ years and thorough research is to back them up. The converational style of writing makes theology and academic thought easier to read.
