Transformers: Armada and Generation One clash explosively in this ultimate Transformers saga! It's the beginning of the end as a chaotic force from beyond the Armada-verse starts to make its presence felt, dispatching five lethal heralds to soften up both the Autobots and the Decepticons. With Optimus Prime stranded on an alternate Cybertron — one about to be consumed — no happy endings are guaranteed! This volume collects issues #12-18 of the Transformers: Armada series.
Simon Christopher Francis Furman is a British comic book writer who is best known for his work on Hasbro/Tomy's Transformers franchise, starting with writing Marvel's initial comic book to promote the toyline worldwide, as well as foundations for both Dreamwave Production's and IDW Publishing's takes on the Generation 1 minifranchise.
Aside from the rushed ending, this is the series at its finest. World’s Collide is an excellent arc, providing a through-line to Armada of the greater Transformer heritage up to that point. Sadly, Unicron gets merc’d before he can even transform. Galvatron seemed like a greater threat than his master. Ah well. Can’t compete with editorial mandates.
