My mom got me this at some kind of (presumably) school library conference many years ago. It's signed to me by the author. Then she rediscovered it at her house this week (in this year of 2024) so.... I read it.

It's a good story, and heartwarming, and I really felt for Bailey and for her foster family as they negotiate their relationship.

Glad I read it!

I loved Bailey. She was a great character and I really became attached to her when I was younger. This is a great story about a younger girl who grew up in foster homes, first time I had heard of foster homes and such.

My favorite book when I was little. Didn’t even know what the front cover looked like because it was so worn

I just finished reading the book Heads I Win by Patricia Hermes. The main character of this book is a girl ( forgot name) who has gone through 11 foster homes already and is living in her 12th. She has to face many problems including Janie her arch enemy. When Janie tries out for class president Bailey ( that's it I remembered ) does to wanting to prove herself that she's better than their dum click. After finding out how hard it is to get everyone's votes she decides to be herself and hope to Win, but on the day of the elections she gets some mail from a person that's she's been wanting with her about to be title with out the class part. The Author made me feel like bailey could be here because of her thoughts ,feelings, and actions. There wasn't to much detail, but there was a lot foster homes she went to. I don't think I can relate any of this to my life since we don't have any clicks that I know of. I really liked this book and you should it, if you want.
