Susan gets on the trail of "The Gemstone Gang", a gang of jewel thieves who all use the names of precious stones as their aliases. She discovers the mystery by getting herself trapped in a chest that is delivered to one of the crooks and a rather stupid rescue occurs. She also disguises herself as a nurse and confronts the gang pretending she wants to join it. There's a young boy that's taken under the wing of the gazillionare Diamonddwarf, a missing son (#familyfeud) and some remarkable coincidences such as the members of the gang infiltrating Diamonddwarfs home.
Fairly shabby but mildly entertaining

I loved this series. I still feel like I'm the only one that's ever read it. None of my friends had ever heard of it.
