This little hyu’man has come to mean more to me than she should. Soh’fee has become my world in this place, fueling hope I'd thought lost.

Across the universe," he growls, "I have met many gods. But if I had to choose, I would only worship you.

Since my first introduction to He’rox I have been wanting his book. There has been a long wait but finally here we are!

I LOVE this couple.
He’rox is my favorite of the series.
Sophie was the perfect mate for him.

Why not 5stars?
The pacing felt a little off to me, I wanted more relationship development, more interactions to build that up before we got to that first kiss. Because the trusting came SO SOON after meeting I didn’t feel their connection. I understood the mutual attraction, they’re both highly intelligent and He’rox quickly discovers he wants her as a mate but how did Sophie come to trust He’rox so quickly? If I had gotten just a little bit of relationship development- maybe them working together in the lab for a few days before they ventured off together, I think that would’ve built the connection better for me.

I started enjoying the story a lot more when He’rox decided to give in to their connection.

This story had He’rox displaying all of his powerful assets. He’s strong, he’s powerful, he’s other but I wanted more? I know, I know, I have to learn to manage my expectations.

Sophie and He’rox are scientists, I was expecting them working together to solve complex issues, scenes where their strengths would shine. And He’rox is shining in every scene, that’s why he’s my favorite, he’s special 🥰 but it kinda just put Sophie in the back burner ? She was just there…? Even the big parts she played didn’t feel important? I loved her for He’rox but I wanted some big brain moves to come from her. 🤔
. . . .

This book had my blood pressure so high.
Everything that happened after they ran into Asha just about killed me. 😭
All the pain and anguish He’rox went through. 😭😭😭😭😭😭

But I survived.
. . . . . . . . . . . . .
I must warn you, commander, if you let my brothers in they will try to stop me."
He looks up at her.
"And I will kill them all."

Adira's throat moves as they hold gazes.
"You would attack them? Kill them? Your own Vullankin."

He'rox dismisses her with his gaze. "For
Soh'fee, I will do anything.

Did I mention that I LOVE MCs who are willing to destroy anything/anyone that/who threatens their mate? Because swoon

My ratings always reflect my enjoyment of the story.

I love this series and each book has consistently delivered for me. This latest one was again an easy read. This time it's He'rox's turn he's a recurring character that has always intrigued me. His separation and overall manner have always set him somewhat apart from the rest of his Vullan kin. His status as medic seems to be his entire purpose, that and his hatred and entire focus on defeating the Gryken even at the cost of his own self.

He'rox made the ultimate sacrifice one that is slowly and surely erasing his Vullan identity. He is changed and his ba'clan is dying. Though the Gryken appear to be defeated and Unity the camp where humans and Vullan are attempting to rebuild and populate appears to be thriving something other is stirring. He'rox's unique connection to the defeated enemy means he's very aware of the mounting threat.

Sophie is a Epidemiologist which means she's the ideal candidate to team up with the Vullan medic and investigate. She arrives in Unity after intercepting a flyer, fascinated from the start by the stoic silent medic she soon agrees to assist him but what they find out there affects everything. It also threatens to destroy both Sophie and He'rox's fragile bond before it's even managed to take root.

The bond between these two was intense. He'rox has already resigned himself to not having a mate not that he has any interest in that department. This all changes with Sophie and everything about her calls to him. But believing from the onset he's a danger to her very existence he attempts to keep a distance. He's fighting a losing battle but when her life is threatened by the current scourge he discovers that there is no line he won't cross to keep her alive.

This was thrilling and intense and kept me on my toes. The writing was good and I loved all of the familiar past couples. This series is a firm favourite of mine and this one was no exception. Adored both He'rox and Sophie and thought they made a fantastic pairing. They were both extremely easy to like and He'rox well I found him incredibly endearing. Highly recommend this series if you like your alien romance with a very otherness to it.

Not bad! I liked that this heroine wasn't one of the original girls, although she really felt like an outsider. I would have liked more interaction between the girls before she tromped off into the woods with He'rox.
This was pretty dark and creepy. There were some humans who had become infected by these veins left over from the Gryken. They waste away and turn into these feral animals that do what the veins want basically. The veins are all underground and a connected network.
Some of the writing was just confusing. I had a hard time grasping what was going on. Like at one point, He'rox comes out of the tank but is basically catatonic because he believes sophie is dead. But when sophie wakes up in her tank He'rox is back in his tank? We know he came out because he interacted with another of the Vullan before Sophie woke? It just confused me. There were a few different small instances like that one, but that was the most confusing part for me.
Spice was eh...I wanted more. It wasn't very exciting. I'm not sure I felt the chemistry? Idk it just didn't do it for me

First off, I like this author and have enjoyed other books of hers. Just this one not so much.
I felt the first half of this one dragged and I struggled a bit to connect with the characters, especially the MMC. Perhaps that was because of his detached nature.
Then the last 20% of the book seemed rushed and didn't make a lot of sense to me. There were a lot of loose threads, perhaps they're purposely left for the next book? If so I think they could have been teased better, instead they felt forgotten.

AG Wilde's sci-fi book five, Rebirth, is part of the dark-themed Captured Earth series that kicks off in an explosive way. What first looks like a meteor shower, they soon learn it is the death of humanity. Parasitic creatures who destroy all they come into contact with as they pillage and plunge, murder and rape through everything.

Hot on their heels are aliens that have lost everything to these creatures, hoping to stop them before it is too late. These new aliens are everything the parasites are not. They are loyal, have courage, and will take on all looming threats that jeopardise their lives and the lives they swore to protect. These alpha heroes find something they thought would never be possible, and that is a connection with humans and their mates in the face of uncertainty and danger.

Rebirth is high-stakes danger with romance, action, tension, vicious battles, danger, and suspense. A series that should not be missed.

I'm really glad I chose series because I loved following each character's story. I have to admit, I didn't expect the doctor to have such an interesting story. I kept picturing him with Einstein hair, which made me laugh a lot and I had to keep erasing that image from my mind. If the story continues, I'll definitely come back and finish what I started!

Rebirth de A.G. Wilde serie Captured Earth libro 5

Argumento:

He'rox

Debo regresar a casa.

Sophie no llamó mucho mí atención.

5 fabulous 🌟's for Rebirth🌟💖🔥

This series is so well done the world building, the characters and the storyline I've enjoyed each and everyone one of the books in the entire series. He’rox is the medic of the Vullan he made the ultimate sacrifice for his planet and his people. He's a brilliant doctor and scientist and he changed himself by experimentation to try and save Not just his planet and people but the people of Earth. Just when he thinks his purpose is over he realizes that something is deeply wrong on the earth something the Gryken left behind. Sophie is a doctor of disease. Her father was a doomsday prepper. She's been living in an underground bunker that her father built. He prepared her for just about everything except maybe for the Gryken. She ends up at Unity and when they find out what her job was before the end of everything. They ask her to work with He’rox. When she sees him she's not horrified or terrified but fascinated , intrigued and drawn to him. They go on a very dangerous mission that brings them closer and closer together. Even though they have many differences, their similarities out weigh them. Its so good! what a person will do for those they love, for their planet for the people who mean the most to them. Its awe inspiring and beautifully told. I hope there will be more in the series. Highly recommend💖🔥🔥🌟💖🌟💖🔥💖🌟💖🔥💖🌟🔥💖🌟💖🔥💖🌟💖🌟💖🔥

I did not expect this book to go they way it did. It was a complete roller coaster of emotions. I had so many different feelings, from curiosity to fear to happiness. It was definitely a worthy conclusion to a great series. It was expected to have an “after” of the big war, most books just end with the final battle. This one, brought out the aftermath of such destruction and how to rebuild.
The couple was actually unexpected to me. I wasn’t sure I was gonna like the hero as much, but he was so incredible. We had once again an amazing heroine that was fierce and selfless, that helped save humanity to almost a great personal cost. I think this couple was the most selfless one, because despite their relationship, they knew they had to fight to save everyone else. They were absolutely perfect for each other.
Overall, this was an awesome series that I didn’t expect would be so great when I first picked up. A.G. Wilder surprised so many times throughout the series, that I lost count how many time the unexpected happened. She definitely knows how to write a great sci-fi story without make it overly complicated and difficult to understand. As a complete series, it was a beautiful tale, that I recommend to anyone that likes this genre.

A beautiful redemption story for He’rox

I am reading the series and I like this overarching storyline and the characters. The sci-fi is well written and not for the faint hearted. There is violence and fighting to save people from the strange enemy. This book features He’rox who has secrets and feels like an outcast although his actions and special powers have saved Earth and his fellow warriors. He’rox is struggling for a purpose now that the Unity community is flourishing and the other warriors have found human mates. One day a new human female is brought to Unity and her name is Sophie. She is a doctor with a big heart and caring attitude. This is ultimately what gets her in perilous situations where He’rox has to rescue her. I am not a Sophie fan because she seemed to have no self preservation, but He’rox is one of my favorites. Read On!

This was my least favorite.

So many things worked against this book for me.
1) In some ways it resembled a zombie invasion or story and I hate zombies!
2) Sophie was my least favorite female lead. She just kept making stupid decisions and they would bite her in the butt and yet she wouldn't learn from them.
3) I like a broody male lead, but with Sophie running around being dumb, I couldn't take He'rox also being broody and dumb, that's too many annoying traits/leads in one book.

This, in my opinion, is the weakest of the series. Honestly I finished it last night and while writing this review I can't even remember any of the sweet parts or the scenes that I did enjoy. I can only remember my annoyance with Sophie and the completely avoidable situations that they were in.

I did not enjoy this final book, which is a shame because I really loved the first four.

Sophie was introduced as a logical person, but logical she was not. Most of her choices felt purely emotional — borderline suicidal at times — and it didn’t line up with how she was set up earlier. He’rox was supposed to have great control, but honestly, I didn’t see it.

I found it hard to care about the main couple. The only thing keeping me turning the pages was curiosity about the overarching plot.

That said, the series overall was still such a fun ride, and I definitely recommend the first four books. This one just wasn’t it for me.

Love this series like crazy

I still be!ieve this series should be made into a movie. I love it so much every time I start reading these books I can't put the book down until it is completed. I am so glad that there was an extended version of war that answered my questions and to further answer what came next for earth in the appley named 'Rebirth'. I am so greedy of this series I just want more. Thank you A.G. Wilde. For the escape I crave in this series that grips me from start to finish xx

The best!

Out of all the books, this one was my favorite (and its not just because of the tentacles, tho I do wish those things had been more... exploratory...) It had so much emotional depth, a journey of finding one's self and being accepted by others, and a very sad scene that made me ball my eyes out. I'm not super fond that they didn't find a way to "cure" the veins and I feel like that bit was kinda skimmed over like "nah I'm not worried about it" after the first big encounter with them. Regardless, I loved this one to pieces.

I really love this storyline. This is as much sci-fi as it is romance. You should read these in order as the backstory is critical to the storyline and it is wonderful! Especially if you like science fiction and some romance this is the series for you. I definitely want to read more about what comes next. So many creative ideas yet easily explained. There are more mysteries here left to solve for and I hope the author plans to tell them! Fantastic. Definitely recommend.

🤩 this deserves 10⭐️s

This was so good. Once I started this book I didn’t want to put it down. I am so glad A.G. Wilde wrote He’rox story. Sometimes the nerdy doctors are overlooked but _amn she made him smart and sexy. I love Sophie all the women in this series were bad _ss. Sophie embraced He’rox. She wouldn’t let him isolate himself from her. I do hope there is a #6. I am still wondering were they able to do something about the vein in the ground? Very good read.

Everyone knows what they need - so we think. As life changes, so does what we require. Even then, we can miss something. It’s often during a shift in our lives that we make the life altering discovery. I recommend this book. It may assist you in finding out more about yourself!

By far the best book out of the series and tge only one scoring a rare 5 stars.

This story is brilliant, its so gripping and has such depth I absolutely over it.

Add in heroz n sophie and wow what a team.

So believable and realistic. Didn't rely on multiple sex scenes to carry it though, love a good sex scene but sometimes there's too many getting in the way of the story.

Perfection.

But this series is AWESOME and well worth reading, I recommend it Highly 😄. Thanks again A.G. I truly can't wait to read more written by you 🤓.

Brilliant series

I was skeptical of yet another alien invasion novel, but I was pleasantly shocked by how this series evolved. The last one, He’rox and Sophie had me hooked. I hope Wilde will continue with this series. Each character was strong and independent in their story, but this one had me crying in my middle of the night. Worth the read!

Kinks/Tropes: aliens, apocalyptic

I think I was most excited for Herox’s story since the first book since he stood out the most. Not sure if another book will be coming out but it was a good ending to the series for me. This book had a bit more spice in the use of we will say “extra limbs” but only two scenes of spice like the other books. Would definitely read this series again.
