Renovations. Runaways. And Reckless Investigations.
The fall season is upon Daybreak Falls and Davina takes on a new project, partnering with her persnickety grandmother, Bernadette.
But when Stone drags Davina into a runaway case, Davina finds herself in a deadly dispute with a gang of outlaw bikers.
As the new private eye in town, Davina’s best friend Olivia joins the case, but she refuses to see her client’s story doesn’t add up. Setting off in opposite directions, working against each other, they search for the teenage girl.
But while dodging the violent bikers, Davina discovers she’s more vulnerable than she thought—realizing her psychic abilities are on the fritz.
There’s only one thing Davina knows for sure. The girl didn’t run away. She’s running for her life .
Unless you want to learn a lot about DIY, I’d skip this book! Near no discernible plot, no “psychic excitement”, and an awful ending. I think I’ll skip number 7 and find a new series.
I keep thinking “what more can they get up to.” Then I read the next book and I get so engrossed with the characters, I read it straight through. I love it. Her visions are not happening, work on the house presents problems, a runaway is hiding from bad bikers, an emergency gunshot cause one of them to play doctor with a surgical stapler, and old friend is injured and a dear friend needs understanding and therapy. I love these characters! Highly recommend the book and the series. I firmly believe the reader needs to read this series in order. It is just too good not to read all of them and in order. I hope there is more in this series.
I'm really enjoying this series. It combines two things I enjoy; home improvement/DIY and mystery solving. The details make it easy to visualise what the author is trying to convey. Theres something for everyone here. I applaud the author's detail in assisting the reader to engage with the individual characters and their world. All of the characters - no matter their significance - are given enough information to get a good feel for how they interact within this world, without slowing the pace of the story. Well done. My only criticism is that I'm getting through the series too quickly.
To much time on the home improvement but it worked ok great once Davina found her intruder. I really like Addy, she bring fun and mischief to Davina and she reminds me of a young Olivia. I was also happy Bones was back in the picture. I love her circle of friends and family. Her relationship with Lance is deepening which I am really happy about. I want to see her and Stone grow into something more. I guess we will see.
So far I love this series, but this book was a little slow. It was 75% about carpentry, which dragged the storyline. Little to no mystery. Still a decent read, but not at all like the other books in the series. Hopefully the next book I. The series picks back up.
I loved the books. Read all six books back to back. Their antics were enough to keeping you reading just one more chapter. The characters were so well described you just want to be part of their town. Can't wait for the next book!
Davina does it again with the help of her friends. In this case she really didn’t need her abilities even though at times it comes in handy. She is very, empathetic, compassionate and loyal. I really do enjoy this series.
I have fallen in love with this series. This one gad twist and turns I didn't see coming. I was glued in with the last book and bam a whole new direction. Off to read the next book
Mmm…there was a bit too much renovation talk in this book. But once the action started I was all in. I love the characters, I’m hoping for a little more in next book.
Love. Love. Love every book in the series. Including the non psychic adventure stuff. I always wanted to find a series that was like a slice of real life with some action. I'm so very happy that I stumbled upon these books.
This book for me was a total flop, It just seemed to forever ramble on about DIY, don’t think I will bother with book seven, the first three books were good but she should have stopped there!
