When Eric's sister drives off without him he has to cut through the woods to get to school. What he encounters in the deep shadows of a pine tree changes his life forever. Bitten by a wolf, Eric's Beast is unchained and the battle for his very soul begins. Eric must fight a powerful and ancient creature with nothing more than his will. Success means having to live with the power of the Beast and failure means a fate worse than death.
I've had many jobs in my life. I bagged groceries in high school to pay for gas, fast food burgers, and yes...cigarettes and beer. I joined the Army and spent three years in Germany, learning how to stay awake during guard duty and how to be somewhat responsible. I was an electrician for a while, which gave me a good appreciation for what it feels like to get shocked. I decided, after getting zapped one too many times, to go back to school. While I was working as an electrician I had a daughter born with cerebral palsy. She is the best thing to have happened to me. I decided to stay home and take care of her after she had surgery to help her be able to walk and during that time I read a book so bad that I wanted to see if I could do better. Turns out I could, I found that I loved to write and I wasn't all that bad at it. Fast forward a few years and I have now finished five novels (one is nearing the end of the editing process) and a short story about Santa fighting zombies!
I've done a lot of things, but writing is in my soul, I hope you take the time to give my books a chance, I don't think you will be disappointed.
I really enjoyed this story,it was fast paced, the story flowed together without all the self hating most of the werewolves books have, that is what I really liked about this book, the characters where interesting...a good read!!!
In My personal opinion I think this book was actually very fascinating and very Good Read. though there are grammar issues in the book and some misplaced words there were very few at that, plus you really can't expect it to be perfect seeing this Author just started writing and has no Editors or Publishers, and with that said I must say he did a very very good job writing this book. I think for a first time author and a self publisher risking it all to show the world his own work he deserves all the respect for those who would be to afraid to do something this brave. I think he Deserves to be Published and Edited. I honestly can't wait for the second book to come out. I loved the Characters attitudes and how they had their own personalities and the fight scenes where very well thought out and well placed, the story line was amazing and the idea of how the Werewolves were separated and given a distinct background and type was very good and well thought I am a huge Werewolf Lycanthropy fan and this book did not disappoint, so to all of you reading this review and like a good fantasy/romance/action book please read this book
Marcus Abshire I Personally give you my thanks for being one of the few people who take a gander and actually publish a book worth reading.
This was defiantly a different read. The plot was at times slow, but again speeded up when needed. The writing was sometimes off, I would find myself rewriting a few sentences, not to say the writing wasn't all too bad. It also needs to be edited and revised. The plot was good and different. The Pack was global and not restricted to one area. I enjoyed the change from human to werewolf and the describing of vampires. I recommend this book to people who despise twinkling vampires and who would enjoy the inner struggle to control the Beast.
