Snails (Blastoff! Readers: Backyard Wildlife: Level 1

Snails move pretty slowly. Maybe it's because they carry their homes on their backs, or because they have only one "foot" to work with. One thing is for snails would have trouble moving at all if it weren't for the slime that helps them slide. See what it's like to move through life at a snail's pace in this title for young readers.

My son enjoyed learning about snails because we previously read about slugs and it was cool to see how they are same and different. He enjoyed learning about how unique these creatures are and realized how hard it is to be a snail when you have so many predators....and your slow. Great facts and real photos.
