Michigan is divided into the Upper and Lower Peninsula. The five-mile Mackinac Bridge connects the two landmasses. Each region fosters different economic activities and ways of life. See how the residents of Michigan work, play, and celebrate their state in this carefully leveled reader.
I'd give this book a three-and-a-half star rating. It was very informative and interesting. I learned a lot in this book. For example, did you know that wherever you are in Michigan, you are always within 85 miles of a Great Lake! And, Michigan has one of the world's largest mueseum of African American culture and history! Very interesting!
32 pages. Another great book in the Exploring the States series. Format and information is excellent. Great photos, charts and additional information at the end. Great job! Highly recommended Gr. 4 and up.
This book was super interesting to read with my class! We used this book to write a newspaper article all about Michigan. This book was fun because there were specific parts in this book that I could connect with as well as could my students!
