With the overwhelming number of frozen dinners and processed foods that line our grocery store aisles, it’s easy to see how we’ve forgotten what “real food” tastes like. Our bodies are left undernourished as our weight rapidly increases, while words like “diabetes” and “obesity” flood the media. The time has come to embrace a new lifestyle, not another diet: a lifestyle where the foods we consume are not based on calories or points, but instead on pure ingredients that our bodies need.

A really good resource for healthy eating. I want to make photocopies of most of the introductory pages. The authors have a fun writing style and gave some great basic info for starting a healthier, happier lifestyle. Although I copied a handful of recipes, there are quite a few with main ingredients that I'll probably never buy (plantains, anyone?). Not just for those going for paleo, this is helpful for anyone who wants to eat better. *edited because AutoWRONG hates me
I enjoyed this book as it is a great introduction into Paleo living. The beginning of the book provides some intro into what the Paleo lifestyle looks like in simple terms and with a great guide to what is acceptable to eat with lists of what is considered Paleo friendly and not. Upon reviewing I realize that the Paleo lifestyle is not another “diet” but truly a way of living that is sustainable. The recipes look delicious and simple to prepare. I am looking forward to making a few of them as soon as I pull together the ingredients I need! A simple read to get you started.
Clear, short and consise with some interesting recipes though maybe a little 'preachy' with the 'I' suggestions and comments but still a good book to get a quick look into the paleo lifestyle and facts.
There are two reasons I love this book: 1. paleo chicken pot pie and 2. paleo shepherd's pie.
I haven't made many of the other recipes, as I'm not a big seafood person. And it seems rather heavy-handed in that area, which doesn't surprise me since the focus is creole. But if you want to have new, creative and very seasoned paleo recipes to your rotation, consider this book.
One of the better cookbooks I've found out there, its laid out logically, and often I feel cookbooks aren't. this book is more than just "grill this" as so many paleo books can be.
