Inspired by the austerity, emotions, and intensity of the haiku, acclaimed installation artist Kaïdin Monique Le Houelleur traveled across Japan to create artistic installations in natural surroundings, and the results are collected in this stunning volume. Using water, wood, earth, stones, sand, and rocks, she neither adds nor removes elements from the area and instead transforms the relationship between nature and culture imperceptibly. Left on their own to weather natural elements, these fleeting creations are only recorded in time through the eye of a photographer.
