Fallon never wanted a fated mate. Now he has two.

Dragon omega Fallon is recovering from the abuse he endured in his previous clan, and he’s grateful for the friendship he’s building with his roommates, beta Duer and pregnant omega Yitro.

When Duer announces he thinks they’re fated mates, Fallon is furious. He doesn’t want fated mates. He wants to be able to make his own choices.

It’s hard for him to deny the truth, however, and slowly but surely, the three of them develop a close bond. But Yitro is about to give birth, Duer is troubled by his past, and Fallon is getting impatient.

And then their enemies show up, and it’s time to take a stand.

Dragon’s Stand is the fifth book in the Irresistible Dragons series, which needs to be read in order. The romance in this book ends on a happily-ever-after, but the overall plot will continue in the next book.

Would you like the long or the short version of my bio?

The short? You got it.

I write steamy gay romance books and I love it. I also love reading books. Books are everything.

How was that?

A little more detail? Gotcha.

I started writing my first stories when I was a teen…on a freaking typewriter. I still have these, and they’re adorably romantic. And bad, haha. Fear of failing kept me from following my dream to become a romance author, so you can imagine how proud and ecstatic I am that I finally overcame my fears and self doubt and did it. I adore my genre because I love writing and reading about flawed, strong men who are just a tad broken..but find their happy ever after anyway.

My favorite books to read are pretty much all MM/gay romances as long as it has a happy end. Kink is a plus… Aside from that, I also read a lot of nonfiction and not just books on writing. Popular psychology is a favorite topic of mine and so are self help and sociology.

Hobbies? Ain’t nobody got time for that. Just kidding. I love traveling, spending time near the ocean, and hiking. But I love books more.

*phew the first half of the book was torture by boredom. Not that I don’t appreciate making trauma response and healing a topic but with it the romance between the three mcs here fell totally flat for me. And honestly, at this point, all the babies and pregnancies throughout the packs are grading on my nerves. Hard. —only exception: the chapter when Riordan’s, Wilmer’s and Jermon’s eggs hatched. *awwww It was probably my fave moment in the whole book.

The overall plot, even with all the dragons and magic involved, was too little in focus to make this book any more enjoyable to me.

In the end I’m glad it’s over and I’m done with this triad. These two books really put a damper on my enjoyment of the series. I can’t wait for next year as I’m expecting Adar, Oliver and Delton are getting my blood pumping for this series once again.

Thank God am done with this book. This throuple was my least favourite. All the talking bored me to death. I also feel like they forgot about Yitro so much and they tried to explain it by saying Fallon needed more attention but I didn't buy it. Their relationship was mostly about Duer and Fallon. I hated the way Duer only focused on Fallon and forgot about Yitro.

I am sorry to say this but I did not care for Rhene's son. I haven't since they decided Yitro and Rhene would be the legal parents. Only babies I cared for were Riordan, Wilmer and Jermon's hatchlings. The whole Erwan didn't want to be a king thing bothered me so much. I know he felt like it was not his destiny but I wanted him to be king so bad.

“My mate is Rhene Hightower, pack alpha of the Hightower pack and brother-in-law to Lidon Hayes, the True Alpha of his generation. And I?” He took a deep breath. “I am the white dragon.”
He shifted, more fluidly than he’d ever done, and stood before them in all his glory.
Fuck Cladhaire.
Fuck Baoth.
Hell, fuck them all. He was the white dragon.

Chills Literal Chills

Only reason I gave this 3.5 stars is for the overarching plot. I can't wait for Adar, Oliver and Delton's book. March Can't come soon enough.

Ooooh boy, there's lots happening in this instalment, and it's a doozy in a good way!

The relationship between Fallon, Duer and Yitro is at the heart of the narrative, as with book four, but there’s so much more going on too.

No big spoilers here, but there's still more to come, so this book ends on a soft cliffhanger which sets things up brilliantly for the next book.

In the meantime, so much development goes on between the dragon omega and his two mates and it's super sweet to see.

There's babies on the way, hangups to deal with and magic a plenty as Nora keeps the pace running smoothly between the intimate elements of the relationship and the wider pack plotline.

Great fun and some twists made this another great entry in the series.

#ARC kindly received from the author in return for an honest and unbiased review.

I wasn’t really interested in Yitro, Fallon and Duer’s relationship. It dragged a lot in the beginning, with moments about the bigger plot serving as a saving grace. Their relationship could have been condensed to a single book or even a novella. Super excited for the next couple though! Fingers crossed 🤞🏽

I love the world the author has created and the overall storyline. While I liked the main threesome, I was bored by so many of their conversations and the relationship in general. I get that there is a lot of past trauma to deal with, but I guess there was just too much talking and it took some of the spark out of things. The times when they do let their walls down and just enjoy being with each other were a nice break. It's also always good to see the other characters playing parts in the story and getting updates on how they are all doing.

I am looking forward to seeing things continue to play out at the council gathering since it ended at a pretty exciting point.

I am in awe of the way authors brains work in connecting all the pieces and making them magical!

This series is so intertwined and detailed and the characters so personalised that it's a joy to read!

Duer, Fallen, Yitro and their 'extended' family faces trials but everything is dealt with as family and with love and honor!

The fifth book in the Irresistible Dragon’s series had a lot to offer and the ending completely snuck up on me, I wasn’t ready for it to end!

I totally understand the decision to split Duer, Fallon and Yietro’s into two books, as these three needed time to figure out their relationship and feelings. Both Duer and Fallon had traumatic pasts, and I loved their discussions about trauma, healing, self-discovery and identity. These men were just so sweet and supportive of each other!

Their relationship progressed faster in this second book, and they were so open with each other and communicated a lot, which I always love. I’ve also loved to see Fallon’s development through the series, and the little dragon really shone bright in this book. I’m really excited to see what impact he and his magic will have in the coming books.

The storyline continued strongly in this book as well, with some new information gained and new adventures for our dragon and wolf shifters. The suspense was constantly present, and I liked the twists and turns that the clan encountered.

I’m really enjoying this series and world building, and it’s great to see things fall into place piece by piece. I’m super excited about the next book, even if the cliffhanger was on the nicer side, the suspense was still high in that last chapter!

I’m very invested in the overall story since the first book of the irresistible omegas series. But this book and the previous lacked in exciting relationships between the MCs. I found it boring and it lacked the passion Nora Phoenix can be so good at. The best scenes are the ones about the pack with th end scene as the winner. I was so disappointed it ended in the middle of that scene! These books can be thicker, there’s no reason to cut them up so much!

This book starts off exactly where the previous one left us and continues the fantastic themes of the series, challenging societal identities and expectations, strengths of a found family, owning your power and living your authentic truth , detailed world building and political intrigue.

Duer and Fallon continue their healing journey along with navigating and negotiating their relationship with each other and with Yitro along with the challenges of being fated mates yet still graduating to more than friends on top of which there is the arrival of the youngest member of the pack contend with and the threats the clans still pose for seizing power from the true Doyle clan. A lot of secrets are revealed in the book while a lot still remains unanswered and while the romantic story line tied up with a very satisfying HEA, the overall plot leaves of at a cliffhanger that I’m very excited to see develop further.

The author does give a very real portrayal that once you've navigated past the trauma and the new relationship dynamics, everything doesn't magically fall into place. I loved the way there was such open and honest supportive communication between the three.

For me the only thing i would say is that personally I would have preferred the 2 books to have been one longer book it lost some of the flow of intimacy the characters had built up as well as the nuances of personal journeys they had navigated to that point. While I still love the characters and the way the story unfolded I would liked to read it in one shot.

Definitely recommend reading the series in order and specially reading the previous book Dragon’s Magic.

Expect:

* Found family
* Hurt comfort
* MMM Shifters mpreg(wolf & dragons)
* Fated mates
* Discovering magic and powers

No, furono di gratitudine, e speranza, e piacere, tutto in uno. Liberazione.

«Quanto a me…»

I knew the second half of Fallon, Duer, and Yitro's journey would be emotional, but that still didn't prepare me for the powerful love between these three and the way it shaped their relationship. I was blown away by how deep their partnership grew over the course of this book, and it was wonderful to see each of them developing as individuals and together. The three of them had such a satisfying relationship progression with basically zero angst, and I cannot get enough of the way they took care of each other during all the ups and downs life had in store for them. I absolutely teared up when Duer felt safe enough to explore physical intimacy again, and Yitro's birth scene was somehow even more moving. No matter what, Yitro, Fallon, and Duer's relationship felt wonderfully supportive and loving, and so even when they individually went through rough patches and struggles, I knew the others would be there to help them through it. Their love made me feel so warm and happy, and seeing them deepen their bonds with emotional and physical intimacy was incredible.

In addition to the romance, the Doyle clan storyline had some surprising left turns in store. From the reappearance of the Murphy alphas to the hatching of Riordan's eggs, storming the old Doyle castle in a rescue mission, and traveling to the Dragon Council, there was plenty to keep the whole clan engaged in their conflict with the other dragon clans. I still feel like the Doyles are barely scratching the surface of what's going on with Cladhaire and Baoth and it's driving me nuts that I don't understand their motivations, but little by little the larger storyline is starting to unfold. So much seems to hinge on the next generation of wolves and dragons, and my mind is already spinning with possibilities about what's in store next for these shifters.

**I voluntarily read an ARC of this book. This review expresses my honest thoughts and opinions.

Fascinating & Irresistibly Amazing Story & Listen🎧

Dragon’s Stand
Irresistible Dragons, Book 5
By: Nora Phoenix
Narrated by: John Solo

I can not get enough of these irresistible dragon and wolf shifters and this incredible world Nora Phoenix created. This fifth book of the series picks up where “Dragon’s Magic” left off and continues with Yitro, Duer and Fallon’s story, as well as what is happening with the pack and clan members and their betrayers. I have so much love for Yitro, Duer and Fallon, each broken in their own way and dealing with their own issues, insecurities and inner demons, yet they are great together and for each other. Yitro gives birth to the next alpha heir, which is a moving moment for the Hightower pack and for the Doyles to witness. It was great to watch these three grow into their own, and the biggest surprise was Fallon, who really came out of his shell, and then some, when trouble came knocking at their door. The drama continues for the pack/clan and it is time for them to make their claim in front of the other clans, their claim of being the true Doyle clan and I can’t wait for to find out what happens next in this amazing series. Nora Phoenix, thank you for another fascinating story and emotional roller coaster ride.

🎧📚🎧 John Solo’s artistry and talent continues to shine while delivering another outstanding performance of bringing these characters and story to life. His choice of character voices is fitting, and they have been consistent throughout the series. I love how he takes each role and makes it his own, sounding believable and just as I imagine the characters to sound. He sets the perfect tone for the story, captures all the characters’ emotions and has you feeling them all. John Solo is a skilled and entertaining storyteller who brings you into the story and keeps you there the entire time. Thank you for another exceptional listen.

IM SO SO SO SO ANNOYED.
I love the saga of the Hayes pack, and I have been enjoying this one, too. BUT dammmn, this book is so disappointing.
In all the relationship of three, I have found some differences between the love that they have each other, but in the end, they all end up as equals. In this book, it is not the case.
Yitro is just so much left to his own that it is painful to read. The relationship between Duer and Fallon seems so much important all the time, like all the focus is on them, and they just forget Yitro every single time.
They both have sex, and after that its like, "Oh, Yitro, you're here too." OF COURSE HES THERE TOO, HES THE THIRD ON THE RELATION. And then Fallen is all like "oh, not everything has to be about me" WHY DIDNT YOU REMEMBER THAT AFTER YOU LEFT DUER FUCKED YOU? Its like they always left him on his own, and its so sad.
Yitro you deserved so much more than being in that relationship. He's so understanding about the other two, but they dont offer the same to him.
Sorry, this is the first book that got under 4 stars and its such a deception.
I trully understand the grow that Fallon and Duer had, I really like that, but they dont acknowledge Yitro the way that he deserved, he had being there for them and its like they dont realize.
At the beginning I was so onto the book, close to put it 5 stars, but by the end it was so sad to keep reading it.
Duer saying how he loves Fallon and the way he had got over his depression bc of him. And then to say he doesnt love Yitro yet, but 2 seconds later to say he also loves him? So strange.
And to say that Fallon needs to be fucked, but Yitro not? Why? I just not get it. I understand that not all is about sex, but at the end they end up doing it and completely forgotten about Yitro.
Sorry, Im totally disappointed in this book.
I was gonna put it 2 stars, but Im so sad that I'm definitely gonna be downing 1 star.

This story was very enjoyable, especially when narrated by John Solo who has done an outstanding job giving the full cast of characters their own voices.

This story primarily deals with Fallon, the omega dragon who is coming into his own. His magic is powerful and comes in handy in a few precarious situations. He's starting to develop into the dragon version of Syvney from the wolf series that preceded this one and is totally fierce and lovable, IMO. Duer, the beta who is still suffering from sexual dysfunction and PTSD from his sexual attack two years before when he was working to help Lidon, the true alpha, is Fallon's mate and housemate. The third in their cabin is Yitro, the omega who is carrying the baby for Raine and Erwine (book one). All three realize they are true mates but also realize it will take some time before they can commit to a sexual relationship. Yitro because he's pregnant and Duer and Fallon due to their past sexual abuse.

So this is more of a slow-burn romance but it includes both the birth of the future alpha of the Hightower pack and the coming of power, so to speak, for Erwine as the true king of the Doyle clan of dragons. There's plenty packed in here but, of course, there's more to come and the next book in the series is not available in audio. Darn. I may wait a few months to see if one will be released but, given that this one doesn't even have a Goodreads entry for the audio version, I suspect there will be more lag time and I'll have to go read it. That one is going to be about Oliver and his true mates and I've become attached to the shy omega already.

I've enjoyed this series so far because it's different from others, the narration has been outstanding, it takes me away from daily drudgery, and because it's like eating M&Ms. Just can't have one.

In exchange for a honest review, I got to read this book

Dragons Stand begins right after where Dragons Magic ended with the story about Fallon, Yitro, and Duer as they found out they were a mated couple Yitro was in the late stage of the pregnancy, and Fallon still was working through emotions and finding out his way and place in the pack as he was still working through some of the trauma his old clan had given him.

All of them still working through the emotions of finding out how the fated mates bond works but it is a struggle as not everyone is happy that they have it but they work together to find a way to live alongside the emotions the bond gives them, as one thing they know is that they are meant to be together.

We get to follow along as Yitro´s pregnancy is coming to an end and the impact his son will have in the future in the pack as the dragons and wolf live alongside as they prepare for the next action that will for sure come from the dragons clans that is against them.

Duer works through his own emotions as he still struggles to find out where he stands sexually as his trauma still looms in the back of his mind and gives him a hard time but the conclusion he comes to seems to help him along the way of exploring the new relationship with Fallon and Yitro.

As always I'm looking forward to reading the next book in this series and finding out where the story will take us next. the book was really well written and is a high recommendation if you have read the previous books in this series.

Fallon comes into his own

This is book 5 of the Irresistible Dragons series, a spinoff from the Irresistible Omegas series. The romance in this continues from the previous book and this relationship gets to a good point, but the overarching storyline continues in the next book and there is a soft cliffhanger for that.

"He’d been searching for his mates his entire life, and he’d found them. He was home."

The unexpected and complicated triad of Duer, the beta wolf shifter recovering from a traumatizing kidnapping, Fallon, the young dragon omega who escaped years of abuse with his former clan and Yitro, the older beta wolf shifter, pregnant with the pack Alpha's heir, comes together properly in this book. The previous book left off with them having realized they were fated mates but all their baggage complicating things.

In Dragon's Stand, Fallon comes into his strength, and the three men lift each other up as they work some of the issues keeping them apart.

Enjoyable and a good continuation of the series. I just wish all the books were out so I could read the saga in one go, rather than being left with another soft cliffhanger on the overarching storyline.

In this you'll find:
✨MMM Romance with some spice
✨Omegaverse + MPreg
✨Wolf + Dragon shifters
✨Magic
✨Fated mates
✨Abuse survivors
✨Sex repulsion & anxiety about sex
✨Age gap
✨Surrogacy + raising a newborn
✨Chestfeeding struggles
✨Unconventional relationships
✨A happy ending for them
✨Soft cliffhanger

This was the b best story yet! It was so wonderful to read about Duer, Fallon, and Yitro and their deepening relationship and how they communicated their hopes and fears and feelings and realize that they are falling in love. The romantic date that Duer arranged for Fallon and Yitro was so romantic and fun. Yitro giving birth was nerve-racking and beautiful and Ainle is so adorable. I love how we got glimpses into the lives of others like when Riordan's eggs hatched and how cool that Harley is unique and you know they will be important. The most dramatic scene is when Fallon is up after feeding Ainle and feels dark magic. He notified Blake and went to the main house and realized that there were at least two people casting spells and then it is revealed 4 Murphy alphas are kidnapping Erwan. What was so wonderful about this scary scene was how Fallon was able to confront his chief tormentors and overpower them with help.
Also rescuing Erwan's mother was sad and enraging because she was suffering so much and the sacrifice that her maid made was heartbreaking.
This story ends with the Doyles going to the Dragon Council and confronting the father and uncle and being able to stay and now we have to wait for the next book to see how the evidence of their crimes is revealed and what will happen to them.

Second half of Dragon’s Magic

So I do love these books, but this one was a bit disjointed. The first half is all about Duer, Fallon and Yitro. Which was the missing bits of Dragon’s Magic that left me a bit pissed at the end of that book. So that was super sweet and sexy.

Then the book goes into all the other characters and we get back to the over all story arch. But all the different character perspectives in all the different chapters becomes a bit bumpy. I think the author should start titling the chapters with the name of the first-person character driving each chapter. Then at least you will have a warning that we are talking about something completely different and out of nowhere.

So in summery a lot happens in this book. We see a bunch of births. There is an attack on the camp. We go back to the castle on a rescue mission. And we get a peek at the Dragon Council. Kim not giving anything away, because most of these still have no resolution. The story flow just wasn’t as smooth as I expect from Nora Pheonix. It might has been less rough if this book was combined with the previous book. I had to wait for it to come out. If you are reading the books back to back it might be easier to swallow.

Omega Dragon Fallon never wanted a fated mate but now he has two that happen to be his two roommates - beta Duer and pregnant omega Yitro. When Duer announces he thinks they’re fated mates, Fallon is furious. He doesn’t want fated mates. He wants to be able to make his own choices. It’s hard for him to deny the truth so, the three of them develop a close bond. But Yitro is about to give birth, Duer is troubled by his past, and Fallon is getting impatient. And then their enemies show up, and it’s time to take a stand.

This was a story mostly about the feelings and emotions of fated mates and how that could fit into a world where Fallon was trying to recover from the constant abuse and lack of consent with his previous clan. I completely understood his frustration and even anger that his choice had been taken away just at a time when he was getting it back. Fallon when he was determined to protect the pack was magnificent. Easy to read, feel and understand you will be with Fallon and understand his emotions clearly. This was an MMM story with mature content.

This is a great conclusion of Yitro, Duer and Fallon's story. All stories in this series have to be read in order.

While the last book introduced these three and their respective baggage and problems, this one shows how they deal with it and overcome what always felt like a neverchanging life for each of these three.

Fallon comes fully out of his shell, he is finally feeling secure and safe with his mates and he also starts to embrace and develop his magic.
Duer is still struggling with accepting that his returned feelings and attraction are real and that he has a secure place in the pack due to who is is and not just out of pity.
Yietro has finally what he craved, a baby and mates.
While all three have very different personalities and baggage, the author managed to weave them together as a throuple with showing how they complete each other.

The steam and heat definitely picked up in this book again.

There is also the surprise in Jerome's clutch with one of the dragon babies and the mystery about it will hopefully be solved in the rest of the series. Some hints are in there as well of potential couples and hopefully more dragon babies.

More development is shown with regards to the overall story arc and I can't wait to see how the dragons react to the bombshell Rhene and Erwan are dropping on them.

Thank you Nora, book 5 didn't disappoint, it was hard to out i dont when i started and you brought out the big guns...tentacle d**g. I was waiting for that one.....

How sweet are Yitro, Duer and Fallon! These three has quickly became one of my favorite trios in this series.
Although their had rough pasts they realized that there's comfort and trust in one another.

Although this book is the continuation of book 4 with these three MCs, there's still the issues with the packs and the dragon, more is revealed and things has been heating up or brewing I should say.
The past is on their doorsteps and a stand is imminent.

I love the way Nora writes, she keeps us readers on our toes.
Excellent read, looking forward to read what else you have cooking up.

I received this book as an ARC for an honest review.
I recommend this book, this series.

MM Dragon shifters

Where do I start? Great/brilliant.

It would help to have read the Irresistible Omegas series before you start, as it lays the foundation of the pack.

I loved this and the previous series; I can't get enough of this world. As soon as I finish one book, I search for the next one.

It is well written and has brilliant character definition; the stories just work. I recommend it to everyone.

John Solo did a great job narrating this book, which he always does, which helped bring the characters to life and gave it a whole new immersive experience.
Highly recommend.
