ANGEL

JEWEL

Angel was the seventh book in the Lords of Carnage MC series by Daphne Loveling. I have been waiting since book one for Angel and it was well worth the wait!

Angel Abbott was the President of the Lords Carnage. He was a fierce leader taking the weight of the protection of the Lord’s family seriously. He was loyal, unforgiving to outsiders and fully respected.

Jewel had been the Lord’s bartender for several years. She was respected by the club and although an outsider, was treated more like an old lady versus a club hang around. She was a hard worker, friendly to all but primarily kept to herself otherwise.

Loveling took us through the nuances and skeletons of each of their lives before merging the two. She also brought in several plots: one involving the MC and the other involving Jewel’s family, both of which provided additional depth and dimension to the storyline. It also had a dark and suspenseful vibe.

All in all, I enjoyed everything about Angel and Jewel. I was captivated from the first to the last. This story was the prefect timing for my current mood. There are several directions Loveling can go next and I’m all in wherever she leads, although I’m hopeful we’ll eventually get Jude’s story...hint hint!

I was quite disappointed in Angel's story. I think Jewel deserved so much more 😊. And he deserved a kick in the as$.

Same old story, they somehow pin after each other, while she struggles with things in her life, while he just does his thing. Until something happens and then ... pam pam, HEA.

I disliked this one the most, from all the books I read from this series.

But I am curious about Jude's book 👀, so I will eventually continue this series.

I gave up. Too much about nothing. Too many people to remember. I had to make a chart. Not even a book with multiple POVs was as confusing as this story.

Not for me.

It breaks my heart to give this 2 stars, but I was so disappointed with the story. Almost all of the previous books in this series were 4 stars for me but this one fell kinda flat. The two separate stories of Angel and Jewel were great on their own, but the chemistry wasn't there for the two of them together. There were only a handful of interactions between the two and none of it furthers their relationships beside they are now sleeping together. I just felt like there was more telling me about the story instead of showing me like her previous novels.

Not my favorite one of the series, but I'm glad to read it so I can finally see Jewel get her happy ending.

The chemistry is so-so...

Apparently, Angel and Jewel have been a part of the LOC for the same amount of time. They have secretly been in love with each other for years. Still, Angel has slept with other women, and Jewel has no choice but to watch. Her heart breaking with every woman he takes upstairs. When they finally get together, you would think there's this great romance, but no. Most of the story is club drama and Jewel trying to reconnect with her brother. We barely get to explore Jewel and Angel's relationship.
I still enjoy the series and will continue reading.

I never get tired of reading this series of books. Great story of Angel and Jewel. This book was everything your looking for in an MC story. The characters were great for each other. Just enough trouble with the club to make it interesting. Very good read, definitely recommend this series.

Finally Angel’s story. I’ve been dying for Angel’s story since book one and damn I wasn’t disappointed at all. Angel is the prez and needs to eliminate his enemies and end the war once and for all. But Angel is facing another war that he may lose. I absolutely truly love everything about this series, especially who Angel ended up with. Another amazing read that once I started reading I didn’t want to stop.

Yes One Click Angel

I always had a feeling Angel and Jewel would end up together. This story is set around Jewel, her brother Jude and Angel discovering his true feelings for Jewel. Angel will push Jewel away and then pull her back until Jewel goes missing and then all bets are off.
This was a good story and I loved the first chapter seeing all the previous characters and their children together! Another hit for Leveling!! Happy Reading!!

Great read

Finally Angel's story! It was definitely worth the wait. With the weight of the club on his shoulders Angel didn't think he had any more to give to a woman. The heart doesn't always listen though and wanting and protecting Jewel becomes a priority. Recommended!

So happy to finally get to read Angel's story. In this instalment we get to see Angel as the leader he is but also the man who has a softer side. Jewel is feisty, strong, independent and in love with Angel. Great story, loved it.

Finally, we have Angel's story!
It was well worth the wait.

Angel is a man that keeps his cool and can deliver punishment with calculated precision. Now, he is the Prez of the Lords of Carnage and gives 110% to his club.
Angel wants to keep his head in the game, which is an important factor to him; so he stays away from any and all attachments. But there's a problem, he longs for one woman, Jewel, the feisty bartender for his club.

He can't let down his guard down, now, especially with The Lords embroiled in a war. But, when everything comes to a head and the club is forced into a lockdown, Angel comes out fighting and goes all out to protect what is his.

Ms. Loveling has done it again with continuing saga of the. Lords of Carnage MC. The books keep getting better and better with each new character and story line.
The characters come to life with descriptions and interactions with each other.
He is the President of the MC, she is the bar tender. they have secret and feeling for each other but keep them to theirselves. It takes an enemy to bring too stubborn people together. Finally they admit that they love each other.

Time heals all

They say time heals all wounds. Jewels learned this lesson thanks to Angel. A couple that couldn't resist each other any longer finds their way to each other. This storyline is awesome.

This book follows Angel as he takes over as President of the club and how he and Jewel (the club bartender) fall for each other.

The book opens with the birthday party of Noah (Ghost's and Jenna's kid) which was a nice surprise as we've heard very little about them or their kids since their own book (book 1). During the party Angel is very pensive and thinks about how being the newly-appointed President of the club is great but something is missing and how it might just be Jewel (who he's had a crush on since he met her). When we switch to Jewel's POV she also says the same thing - working for the MC is great but she is missing something in life, and it might just be Angel. This is a massive surprise as they have both been prominent characters in the previous 6 books and yet there was no flirting or any interactions to hint at this. It feels very out of left field and I'd have liked some more build up!

It is also worth mentioning that by this point in the series, nearly all the main characters have had kids (either from the timeline of their own book or in the background of someone else's) and yet we never hear about them or see them, despite the MC being a 'real family'. It has been 7 years since the first book and there are now about a dozen children, but this is the first mention of them.

Jewel's brother, Jude, is sent to live with her after being released from juvie and getting kicked out of their parent's house. Jewel hasn't seen or heard from her brother in about 10 years and Jude doesn't want any help or to get to know her again. He is generally angsty and stand-offish in the first half of the book - he doesn't listen to Jewel or follow her rules, gets involved with a white supremacy gang looking for a place to fit in, and ends up being one of the catalysts for Jewel getting captured at the end of the book. He comes round eventually though and it's nice to see him set aside the teenage angst and settle in properly. I thought Jewel and Jude's relationship and Jude's struggle to to fit in were the more compelling storylines in this book.

In between dealing with her wayward brother, Jewel spends a lot of the book reflecting on her life and how she is progressing. She worries that she has stayed at the MC for too long and not made any advancements as there isn't any room for promotion. She toys with leaving town entirely and starting afresh, but in the end stays for her relationship with Angel and a new job managing a new bar. This sense of invisibility and not feeling like a part of anything was a really relatable storyline and I enjoyed reading Jewel work through it.

The overarching MC plot continues in this book with the Lords of Carnage taking out the remnants of the two rival MCs that were attacked but not entirely removed in previous books (Iron Spiders from books 1/2 and Outlaw Sons from book 3/4/5). They join up with the Ironwood Lords of Carnage (a new second location for the club) and allied club the Death Devils and use literal rocket launchers to decimate their hideout. Despite this being a huge deal for the MC, it is dealt with really quickly at the start of the book and feels like a side-plot overall. It could have had more lead up and detail to add more depth to the book.

3/5 stars, another good entry for the series but could have had more detail

Now this is what I call a real MC story. Angel Abbott is the president of the Lords of Carnage MC. I applaud this author for making Angel a bad#ss Lord of Carnage in the literal sense. Angel is not afraid to do what he has to do in order to protect the men, women and children of the club. He does not delegate the difficult jobs to anyone. He does them himself. Daphne Loveling has written Angel's character as someone who is realistic with what a true president of carnage would be like. With that in mind, he does have a loving side for his sister and her family and all the members of the club are his family as well. He also cares about Jewel, the bartender at the clubhouse. She has been working there for more than seven years. Both Angel and Jewel have been attracted to each other from the beginning. But it sure did take a long time for them to get together. I really liked Jewel's character. She is hardworking, loyal, minds her own business, never brings her troubles to work and is darn good at what she does. When Jewel's estranged parents call her, they let her know they are sending her brother Jude to her because they can't put up with him anymore. She has no say in the matter. She takes him in. Jude is a troubled young seventeen year old. He has no direction or desire to do anything except hangout and get high. He gets mixed up with the wrong crown and brings a bad element into Jewel's home. When Angel orders a lockdown for the club, Jewel and Jude are included. Jude opens up around the young kids who are starting to look up to him. Later Angel talks to Jude about the gang he is getting involved with. Jude takes offense that his lifestyle choices are being challenged. But he backs down a bit when Angel explains why. Later Hawk who runs Twisted Pipes, hires Jude to help with the demo of the building. Then keeps him on to teach him about being a mechanic. Jude's attitude changes for the better and he is more respectful to Jewel. Then the gang Jude originally was hanging out with breaks into Jewel's apartment and steals anything worth selling. A neighbor hearing the scuffle goes to see if Jewel is ok but the thieves knock her unconscious. When Angel and Jewel find out about the robbery and find an unconscious neighbor in her apartment, Angel keeps Jewel safe. A few days later Angel confronts the leader of said group the krow klan and tells him to back off his territory. Kane takes offense and later kidnaps Jewel as revenge on Angel. She is physically abuse but luckily barely escapes from being raped. Angel and his crew rescue Jewel. Angel finishes Kane off permanently. Jude takes it hard that Jewel almost lost her life. Jewel does not know where she stands with Angel but in the end makes it abundantly clear. Jude is excelling. He is still working at Twisted Pipes, he has gotten his GED and has applied to go to a community college. Everything is falling together for everyone. HEA I really enjoyed this book and would recommend it to anyone who loves MC stories. I received an Advanced Readers Copy of this book and am voluntarily leaving a review.

Of course, anyone who follows Daphne Loveling's books knows who "Angel" is. If not, that's ok you will definetly find out several pages into this fantastic book. I absolutely adore Loveling's ability to create an awesome story and put it into words that continuously keeps me captivated. She is able to link each story together beautifully within the story!!! A new reader to Loveling could absolutely pick up anyone of the books in this MC series and enjoy the book as a standalone.

Angel is one of the main characters in this books. I am not going to mention who the other main character is in this story because then I will give away some major details to this story. That said, I loved this book. The author was able pour lots of emotion into several of the scenes throughout the story. I myself wanted to kick the brother to the main female character because he was making some crazy choices. The romance in this story was very sweet. The intimate scenes were off the chart sizzling hot!!!!!!!! Loved all the supporting characters. The story flowed beautifully. The setting was set that any reader with an imagination could visualize what was going on just by the flow of the story and the details that were included in each paragraph.

Is it bad to start a book review by stating I have been waiting for Angel’s story? Angel is the President of the Lords of Carnage MC. He is a leader others follow and will do what is necessary for his club. Daphne Loveling has finally written a book about him, her seventh book, called Angel.

The club has been fighting for their land, mission and how to become more legitimate. A number of brothers have found their Old Ladies and yet Angel is good the way he is. It does worry him that he thinks of Jewel too often, but she is like the club’s Old Lady, their bartender and someone who deserves respect.

Jewel has struggled throughout her life. She finally has found a steady job and some security, when her younger brother is dumped on her. He is angry and non-communicative. He hangs around, bring scummy friends into her apartment. She feels he isn’t even trying, but she is not one to drop her concerns to others, until it is almost too late.

I am glad Angel found Jewel. Now he just needs to get his head straight, because she is perfect for him. Angel is another great MC read by Daphne Loveling!

This is book seven in the Lord's of Carnage MC series and if you have read any of them, then this is the book you have been waiting for. Angel is so worth the wait. You don't to read any of the previous titles either this author let's you know a little about what happens to each member and how they met their old lady's, but seriously read them you are so missing out. Each book has different issues going on in and outta the club that will keep you guessing and on the edge of your seat, wondering if all the brothers are gonna make it back from their runs, and handling business. Angel is now the President and it's an adjustment but he is so protective of his brothers and family that nothing is gonna mess with them. I am not gonna say who the heroine is, I loved finding out it was a character that was in all the books. She understands what the MC is all about and knows how important it is to Angel. So many swoon worthy moments Angel is definitely my MC prince.

I’ve been waiting for Angel’s book since I read Ghost the first Lords of Carnage book and it was worth the wait. I always knew Jewel would be his just didn’t think it would take so long for him to figure it out. I also enjoyed the extra element of Jewel’s younger brother Jude joining the series and how much being there was the turning point in his life. It took a while and was bumpy with teenage attitudes among other things but in the end he’s right where he needs to be. I’m looking forward to see what happens when Lila comes of age I can just imagine the chaos that will bring. I’d also like to see Bullet’s book soon since he was in this one and we got to see his personality a bit.
Daphne never disappoints in her books, they are always worth the wait and this series just keeps getting better and better. Can’t wait for the next installment.

Hot alpha bikers

OMG Daphne's done it again this book was awesome just like the rest. Jewel has had the hots for angel from the beginning and has fought it. Angel has a thing for jewel too but won't give in. When put on lockdown he stops fighting it and him and jewel spend the night together and then angel becomes stubborn and tries to stay away but can't and in the end he finally admitted that he's loved her a long time and jewel does him to. Angel also helps jewel with her brother Jude and Jude does a 180 on the smart a$$ teen to respecting his sister jewel and Angel. I love how with every alpha biker he has a very independent woman who is stubborn and gives it just as good as her man. Daphne brings emotion, a sense of family weather their blood or not and independent woman and very alpha male bikers in all her books and I love the sexy cover. Keep them coming Daphne because I'll keep reading them. Can't wait til the next book comes out.

Angel!!!!

Well the President has finally come out and what’s to claim his due prize.... Jewel has been a bartender for several years and has yearned to be with Angel but she has also kept it to herself. Knowing how Angel has been with other woman and knowing she will be the same. Jewel getting a phone call from her mother has her brother with a one way ticket to her after many years of not seeing or hearing from him. Things get rough for Jewel and her brother and he has started hanging with a so called Nazi group that has her questioning him about it. Things get crazy with the Lords and another MC and calls for lockdown, and while this happens Angel finally makes his move. While Jewel and Angel have come together they both try hard to stay away from each other.... But to no avail they are thrown back into each other to find out grab your copy and enjoy the ride. A definite must read. And if I continue I will spoil the book lol so enjoy.

I thought this was a good read! I loved the characters, and I was happy to finally see Angel get his story. I would have liked to have a little more love story with these two. They've known each other for years, but there was never anything hinted about them liking each other. It just kind of went from nothing to something pretty quickly. I think they do have good chemistry. It was nice to get some back story on Jewel, because she's been a secondary character in the other books, but you never really learn anything about her. I enjoyed her getting to have a relationship with her brother again. Family is hard sometimes. It was nice to see the other guys from the MC and how their HEAs were working out. I've loved all the stories in this series, and this was no different!

Oh my gosh, I’ve been waiting for Angel’s story since we met him in Ghost, and this book was so worth the wait! I love how he ends up with Jewel, who has always been one of my favorite ladies. This book has all of Daphne Loveling’s signature style...excellent story, amazing sex and thrilling action. I also love that we get a glimpse of the Lords of Carnage family and see how their lives have progressed. I also enjoyed reading about Jewel’s brother Jude and the Lords of Carnage kids, especially Lila....can’t wait for her to grow up and see if or when they’ll get a story. Again, worth the wait and highly recommended, but I suggest you read all the previous books...it’s always nice to know the supporting characters...and the books are just that fabulous!

Lords of Carnage (7)

Jewel has worked the bar for the Lords for years. She knows what's needed before being asked. Most of that time she's wanted to get closer to Angel. Angel feels the same about Jewel, but refuses to act on it. He needs to concentrate on the club. Noah, Ghost & Jenna's eldest is turning 12, plus they've just moved to a new home and are in need of a housewarming. As she's leaving for the party Jewel get a call from her mother, she tells her she's sending her brother to her, she's done looking after him. There is a war to finish and then something happens to Jewel. A real good book, so much happening, so you really don't want to stop reading. Then it comes to an end. Only one more to go, shame, am really loving this series

the Angel and his Jewel

As president of the Lords of Carnage MC, Angel has no intention of ever settling down…he has too much responsibility riding on his shoulders. If only he wasn’t attracted to the club bartender, Jewel. Jewel ran away from home when she was 17. She has finally found a decent life un Tanner Springs as a bartender at the LOC clubhouse. Then she gets a call from her estranged parents…they’re kicking out her younger brother and sending him to Tanner Springs. Now Jewel must choose between giving in to her feelings for Angel and protecting her brother from a dangerous gang. As with a 1% MC, expect some really bad guys…and them getting their just desserts. Another great story in the LOC series.

ANGEL was the Seventh book in the Lords of Carnage MC series.

Jewel was the long-standing bartender at the Clubhouse for Lords of Carnage MC, Angel, who is the president, has had a crush on Jewl for as long as he can remember. But given his crush, he has stayed away from Jewel as he didn't want to drag her into a mess as what can happen when you're part of clubs.

That is until Jewels younger teenage brother is sent to live with her and falls in woth the wrong gang. Not knowing what to do in a conversation with Angel one day, she explains her problem, and Angel steps in to help.

Without spoiling the plot, Jewels' brother Jude fell in with the wrong group, and the Lords had to step in after things got messy.
All in all, it was a happy ending, and I will finish off this series.

I have loved this series and I think this might be my favorite installment so far. Angel is a strong, loving man with a soft spot for his brothers and their families. He has a strong need to do right by them. Mess with him or his club and you get to see how hard and driven he can be. A gorgeous love story with some real grit (and a rocket launcher) thrown in. Daphne creates some wonderful characters and I love her books. She writes so seamlessly that you don't even notice the writing, you're just in the moment.

Jewel (and Jude’s) background story is interesting. The narrative of Jewel’s angst is a bit repetitive though. She is always in her head. Angel and Jewel’s sex scenes are steamy but outside of that, they lack chemistry and they hardly interact. I don’t know if it’s all the violence authorized by Angel but it’s hard to connect with his character even though he is shown to be a good uncle, brother, friend, boss, and lover. I’m on the fence on this book because I’ve read Ghost’s story, which is the first in the series, and I’ve liked it. [I received an advanced copy of this book and voluntarily chose to review it.]

It has been quite a while since I enjoyed reading such an amazing, action-packed MC romance.
What you will find in this book is: A President of the Lords of Carnage MC (Angel Abbott), A hardworking bartender (Jewel), her troubled younger brother (Jude, who get involved with the wrong friends), twists & turns, suspense, intrigue, some humor, memories, attractions, danger, enemies, revenge, action, violence, assault, theft, gangs, threats, abduction, violence, conflict, guns blazing, death, emotional feelings, love and a few steamy scenes.
The characters are interesting, and realistic with their emotions. I found the story-line and plot fascinating, it definitely kept my attention.
