I CAN'T STOP SMILING, LOL. AS I WAS READING, I GOT THIS PRAISEWORTHY SPEECH I HAD IN MIND THAT GOT LOST ALONG THE WAY. I was entertained to my very core nonetheless.
Now, I don't know what to write anymore. The concept is really well-written. It definitely took me by surprise with this sequel. I was anticipating a much cliché story with all the appearance after time-skip, lol. I mean, beautiful ending for this volume. But there's still so much story to tell!!
Now, I'm not convinced that this is the end. There's got to be another volume coming. Now that you let me see the bigger picture—with all that crazy, desperate vet and his psychotic ambitions, you got to let me see where the hell this outbreak originated because I'm curious as hell. With all these theories forming in my head. I need some canonical events to straighten things out.
Although, I must say, this is where I lost myself. Sensei really managed to crash my soul every time. So, look out for the sexual violence. Again.
I got to give this a five-star, though, because it's thrilling a such a fun-fun read.

i really wish this has done more!! the story was interesting, I wanted so much more from the romance like truly this could have been 5 more volumes and it would have been amazing, but being only 2 volumes really did it a disservice. It was just too much to have in such a short amount of pages

yeah, I already saw it coming that this one wouldn’t be as good as the first. Pacing was too fast, too much happened on those few pages …a third voulme would have been better. Also it annoys me that in this series were put non/dub-con in twice …like for what? There was really no need for that.
However is still enjoyed the story and the artstyle was gorgeous.

Well that just kinda ripped off The Last of Us, but whatever. lol
What I really disliked was that 2 of the 4 sex scenes are nonconsensual. Like the one guy is literally begging the other to stop. They're the big love story of the duology, so why did they need to be portrayed that way?
Secondly, making this a duology made it feel so surface-level. It's too bad. The author had to include a whole page at the end of the manga to explain things that were left out, which is just nuts.
Anyway... I love zombies, dystopia, and a queer romance. Maybe some day I'll get my hands on a five-star, new favorite-typa post-apocalyptic manga. It wasn't quite this.

the story did not pay off in this one. the pacing man it's just so fast and the literal rape was not remotely needed so.

2 ⭐️ The story had potential, but I really didn’t like some choices made by the main MC’s, it ruined the story and didn’t make any sense.

Very quick read but it was so enjoyable. I was glued to the pages. The ups and downs were so strong and I had to get up and pace to stop the nervous energy that was going through my body. I'm so glad I finally picked this manga up!

Quick, just like the first volume. Brought a somewhat satisfying ending.
Would have been maybe four stars if it weren’t for that wholly unnecessary rape scene in the beginning between the two MCs.

Couldn’t decide between 4-5 stars. Rounding up because it was an enjoyable read, but the primary conflict is a very predictable one in the zombie genre.

WOW! I can't believe that three years have passed. I'm not digging the long hair, but I'm happy that the boys have reunited. I have mixed feelings about this volume because I didn't like how Ai was acting up at first. However, the plot with the antibodies was interesting, but it also reminded me of "The Last of Us" a little. Although the main characters didn't interest me as much in this volume, the side characters had strong stories going on. I think I'll rate it a little lower than the first volume. 3.75/5.

Three years after Ai disappeared, Hikaru is still searching for him while trying to survive the zombie apocalypse. When he comes across another group of humans he finds Ai again, but Ai doesn’t remember him anymore or anything about his past. The group invites them to join up with them and reveals they are scientists looking for antibodies, but Hikaru and his group quickly find out there is more going on.
While I am kind of glad I decided to read the rest of Ai and Hiraku’s story, it was also still disappointing. Their reunion was not as Hiraku had expected because Ai had apparently had no memory of his past but we also get extreme aggression from Ai when he tries to talk to him. We also get a very aggressive, non consensual and basically a rape scene between these two that was pointless to the plot or their relationship. Come to find out all this was a lie and he did remember Hiraku and just stayed away to keep an eye on this group, but his actions still don’t show any love at all, just the opposite. Overall, this was disappointing in both the romance aspect and the zombie apocalypse aspect.

Once again why. This volume was going so much better than the other one and then we get hit with the same thing again. This would have been a great duology without these few scenes.

This was a quick read and conclusion to this story. Honestly, it’s not much different from the first volume but it has a happy ending which is good enough for me.
The story starts with a flashback to a time in Hikaru and Ai’s life when things were peaceful. There’s a calm and warmth surrounding them because they don’t know about the dangerous future that lies ahead. Three years later, Ai is still missing, however a chance encounter brings him face to face with Hikaru and the others. On the other hand, a mad scientist is crossing the lines of integrity to find the cure for this virus.
This manga has blood, rape, murder, death, and live human experimentation to name a few. This is a pretty dark series and sometimes I wonder if all this was needed to enforce an apocalyptic setting filled with desperation.
The plot progresses quickly and the storytelling is sometimes vague. Given the story takes place three years in the future, a lot has happened but also not much has changed. The dialogue is slightly lacking including the artwork because the footnotes at the end revealed more than the manga itself. This manga also severely lacks communication between characters leading to a few unnecessary situations and misunderstandings.
I like how this manga doesn’t take the high route of self-sacrificing. I think the ending of this series was somewhat realistic and the hint of the possible future was appropriate. I probably would have disliked the series if there was a sacrifice because I feel like in an apocalyptic world there wouldn’t be just one person with the cure. There would be more and ultimately humans need to work together for anything to change. Anyways, these were my thoughts and I don’t read this genre much, so take it with a grain of salt.
Similar to the previous volume, the artwork is good, clean and concise. There aren’t many backgrounds except for critical areas to build emotions. There is very little iconography and the facial emotions are at times lacking. The words play a key part in expressing the emotions. The character designs are alright but they don’t have much personality or stand out.
Overall, this was a good read. It was my first story with an apocalyptic setting and I’m not sure if I’d read more. I feel like there would be some sort of self-sacrifice in a few and that would make me sad. Nonetheless this had a happy ending and I’m glad I gave it a chance.

What could be more perfect than a BL manga with zombies for this October season?

Man, this would’ve been so fire as an anime. It’s fast-paced, and I wasn’t expecting anything here! The story bounces between the present time and flashbacks. This manga tones down the romance in favor of a brotherly bond. It’s plot-heavy, choosing to expand on how people live given the situation. My only problem with this manga is actually in the spice. It felt like it added needless suffering for the protagonist.
Regardless of my nitpicks, I enjoyed it! If you can stomach the TWs, the story is good and the plot twists were a surprise after the next. I'd recommend to read both volumes back-to-back.

Feel like the first volume just had a much stronger start. The second felt so empty in comparison. There was actually very little interaction between the couple this book, one of the first being him sexually assaulting him (in an attempt to scare him away?) No one was around, why couldn’t he have just said something verbally. Or just ran away. The whole amnesia plot would have probably explained some of their actions better rather than him just faking the amnesia…. The last two chapters just felt very The Last of Us. Sex scene was anticlimactic as hell too.

It was almost perfect, but we can't have everything, right? Lol. In this volume we have a 3 year timeskip and honestly, I liked where it went. We meet another group of survivors, which results in conflict (as this type of story usually does). I had this theory about the antigens that would only work in BL *but it wasn't that*! LOL. There was one scene in particular that I wish hadn't happened (and I'm still confused as to *why* it did) but aside from that, it all wrapped up pretty nicely

I don't think the overall story elements are all that bad, considering it's a duology. But Ai once again assaults Hikaru. They get their happy ending, though! That's all that matters, right?! No.
I'm so sick of like 98% of BL treating the lack of consent like it's a normal part of the development of a relationship. As if gay men don't have enough to deal with--they also have to overcome assault within their own relationship???
The art was still really good. That's the only reason this isn't a one-star read.

This one was a little more difficult to read with heavier angst but a satisfying conclusion and HEA. Can easily be read in a sitting. Quick, slightly dark BL duology that I managed to pick up from Cloud Library. It was worth the read for me, and I'm glad I finished the set! Just keep in mind the triggers/content warnings.

Glad to finish vol 2. Omg I am so glad that Ai is alive but damn not remember his friends and love one. I was worry that he not Ai anymore. But boy I am so glad he alive and do remember. Omg that group of Sato is so bad people wtf. Anyway I am just glad that the kids and the people of Ai and Hikaru are safe. Especially I am so happy that Ai and Hikaru it together safe and happy. Omg the scenes of s** wow. I rate this a 4 stars ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ and the spice is 🌶️🌶️

Pues ha sido un sobra que ni fu ni fa. Nuevamente todo pasa demasiado deprisa, no hay trasfondo en nada, los personajes son planos e insulsos y lo de Ai... En fin muy sinsentido todo. En general la idea estaba bien, una historia de zombie más, pero el desarrollo y el desenlace muy pobre además que hay actitudes tóxicas de Ai que SOBRAN. Menos mal que al estar en inkr no me he gastado dinero.

Este segundo volumen resuelve varias dudas y la vez tiene giros de trama muy interesantes que de plano NO ME LOS VEÍA VENIR. Esto fue lo que más me gustó. Se me hizo muy interesante y adictivo, no podía dejar de leer.
Realmente vale la pena si te gustan las tramas sobrenaturales.
Pd: Incluso la niña, Shiori, que no terminaba de agradar por testaruda aquí hicieron que le tenga cariño.

This duology was an okay read. I feel like the side characters Kaname and Yukio should've had more panels and section related to their relationship. The story wrapped up quickly once we found out the truth about Ai. I still wanted more zombies in the story. Overall, an okay series.

I hope thisis tve last vol cus i dont wanna wait for moree bjt anywayh tgis was sososp good im so happy ai was found and in the end actuall had his memories hut didnt wanna get hikaru hurt by evil doctor but anyway um sure theres other ways to find a cure wuthouth killing anyone for anibodies or wtvvv anywah i do hope in 20-30 (or earlier🙏) that the virus does feel like a cold lmaoo
