Absolutely LOVED this book. It was a surprise because I originally went to the author's site to buy some brush packs and picked this up while I was there. I have read a lot of guides and materials on webcomics and this by far is the best. Very informative without bogging you down with too much information. Very well structured. The author explains why they make their suggestions instead of expecting you to blindly do as they say. You also get a real sense that the author wants you to succeed, not just purchase the book. You can tell they care and want you to learn from their experience. 100% recommend to anyone even thinking about starting a webcomic.

I think this book would be best for someone who is just starting out with making comics. Though I did appreciate some of the advice in how to promote and monetize your work, I found myself wanting more tutorials and specific advice. Sometimes the book would say things like, “make sure to do more of your own research and look up tutorials,” which is not really what I want from something calling itself the “ultimate guide” to making webcomics. However, I do think this is a worthwhile read if you are interested in comics and you just need some general advice and a pick me up for your art.

This would be technically the second time reading this book. I read the first edition, and then I wanted to read the newest update. I love this artist and discovered her off Tik Tok. I think she's very informative and her art style catchy. Listening to her has inspired me, and this book has inspired me to start working on the webcomic I've been hiding from. I recommend this book to anyone who is struggling to get started writing their story.

Would have liked if it contained some slightly more specific advice (like, don't just say use a trim on your pages, give me numbers, how big should the trim be?), but it's certainly got a fantastic breadth of topics covered and it's absolutely worth the money. Probably the best comic related art book I've read and one of the best art books in general too.

Very neat guide, would recommend for all aspiring comic artists! One thing tho is that the graphic design seemed off and the spacing seemed very weird, but I'm not a graphic designer so this is a small petty thing lol.

I bought this book from Star in person at an anime convention. She signed it for me and my friend/collaborator. The project we're collaborating on is unfortunately still in the works, but this has a ton of useful tips and is also just nice to flip through for inspiration. A lot of the information here can tend toward the more basic side, so it's definitely for people new to webcomics (if the title didn't make that clear).

Really solid, excellent book with practical advice for the current medium of webcomics specifically. A lot of other books on this subject (comics generally like Scott Mcloud's books) are a little outdated but this book (I read the 2023 edition) was actually pretty solid.

Also makes me want to read their webcomic, so they got me lol

I honestly appreciate all the information this book provides, and especially the story starting segments! This and Scott McClouds book about making comics are honestly really valuable resources
